The Blood Sprinkled Book

by David J. Stewart | December 2016

Matthew 26:28, “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

I recently went through my old cassette collection and found a precious sermon by Pastor Al Lacy, which I converted into an MP3 for you. The awesome sermon is titled, “THE BLOOD SPRINKLED BOOK.” What an awesome life-changing truth! You'll never look at the King James Bible the same again! We are so blessed by God to have His blood-sprinkled Book!!! I've never heard anything like this. I've typed out some of the highlights of Dr. Lacy's sermon for your benefit. There is nothing more important than the pure Words of God and the precious blood of Jesus Christ applied to the Mercy Seat in Heaven!!!

I love the King James Bible, it's the Book that got me saved. And if you're an English-speaking person, it's the Book that got you saved, or else you need to get saved!

Jesus told us that what Moses wrote is Scripture. Luke 24:27, “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” “Moses” here refers to the Pentateuch, that is, the first five books of the Old Testament. So we see that everything penned by Moses is inspired SCRIPTURE! In the following passage of Scripture, Moses not only sprinkled the alter with blood, but also the people, and the Book. Now all the way down through the years of the Old Testament times, every drop of animal blood that was shed on those alters, pointed forward to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, at Calvary, where He would shed His precious, spotless, stainless uncontaminated, sinless, blood, which would take away sins. Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the alter, and then he sprinkled it on the people. Remember now, it's a picture of the blood of Jesus Christ.

In Hebrews 9 we find a contrast between the blood of animals that was shed on Old Testament ground and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (the supreme sacrifice, the Lamb of God) that was shed on New Testament ground. ...

Hebrews 9:12, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Hebrews 10:4 and 11, “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ... And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.”

Animal blood could NEVER take away sin! It was impossible! When Jesus Christ (n the very morning of His bodily resurrection) carried that liquid blood that He shed on Calvary, through the skies (as the Lamb Who shed the blood), and then as the great High Priest, He entered into the heavenly holies of holies (Holy Place), sprinkling that literal blood upon the Mercy Seat in the presence of the Father (Hebrews 12:24). Animal blood couldn't do it, it had to be Jesus' own precious blood!!! That's eternal blood. It is God's blood, it cannot dry up! There “IS” power in the blood, not “WAS”!!! The blood is right there on the Mercy Seat now, and will be forever!

When Moses sprinkled the blood on the people it has a three-fold connotation:

  1. PURIFICATION - It was the blood of purification from sin.
  2. POSSESSION - When he sprinkled the people, he was saying, “You are God's people.” Only God's people are a blood-sprinkled people! Remember now, it's a picture of the blood of Jesus Christ.
  3. DEDICATION - When he sprinkled the people with the blood, he was setting them apart, dedicating them to the use and the service of the almighty God.

God is speaking to Moses:

Exodus 24:1-8, “And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him. And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do. And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD. And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words”

So we just learned that Moses sprinkled the blood upon two things: the ALTER and the PEOPLE. Now carefully notice that the Bible teaches us in the New Testament, that Moses sprinkled the blood on the ALTER, the PEOPLE, and “THE BOOK”!!! Moses took the Lamb's blood and sprinkled it upon the alter, the people and “THE BOOK”!!! ...

Hebrews 9:18-22, “Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

Whose blood? Why of course, the blood of Jesus Christ. Dr. John MacArthur is a liar, saying that Hebrews 9:22 refers to “animal blood.” But animal blood COULD NOT wash away our sins! Only the precious literal, liquid, blood of Jesus Christ can wash away our sins. Jesus' blood is eternal blood. There “IS” power in the blood, not “WAS”!!!

Matthew 26:28, “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” The animal blood was only a supreme picture of the coming Savior. The blood of the animals couldn't take the sins away, so the Lord rolled them forward to Calvary, where the Lord did take them away.

Notice that the “testament” mentioned in Hebrews 9:18 and 20 is the OLD TESTAMENT. So we've read about the blood of the Old Testament (Hebrews 9:20), and the blood of the New Testament (Matthew 26:28). Now, God in His redemption plan, let a lot of centuries go by before He put His Son on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus shed His blood on New Testament ground. If you've repented of your sin of unbelief, and received Christ as your Savior—You're washed in the blood, redeemed by the blood, saved by the blood, cleansed by the blood and kept by the blood.

What about those people who lived before the cross? We've read that the animal blood couldn't take way their sins. Hebrews 9:15, “And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament [i.e., Old Testament], they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” See how it worked. The animal blood was only a picture of the supreme sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Who would take away the sins. But He hadn't come yet. So all those centuries it was pointing toward Calvary when that blood was shed. The blood of the animals couldn't take away the sins, so they only temporarily covered the sins, and then God rolled them forward (covering the sins) to Calvary, where the blood of Christ would take them all away. When Jesus died on the cross, the blood He shed not only took care of us on this side of the cross, but retroactively went all the way across the centuries back to Adam, retroactive to take away those sins that had been covered by the animal blood.

Now Moses sprinkled the blood on the Book. In the Book that Moses sprinkled, the entire Bible was there latent (potentially existing but not presently evident or realized). We have a blood-sprinkled Book!!!!!!! Just as the blood Jesus shed at Calvary, reached back retroactively all the way to Adam, to take away the sins of the Old Testament saints, which animal blood could not do—that same Calvary blood reached back and sprinkled the Old Testament Scriptures. Hebrews 9:18, “Whereupon neither the first testament (Old Testament) was dedicated without blood.” That's a negative way of saying that the First (or Old) Testament was dedicated WITH BLOOD. Got that? Not just what Moses had written to that point, but the entire Old testament!

The entire Bible (all 66 books) is a blood-sprinkled Book!!! We've read of the blood of the Old Testament, and we've of the blood of the New Testament. Moses sprinkled the Book!—That was a picture of what would happen to the entire Bible with the blood of Jesus Christ!!! I hold in my hands a blood-sprinkled Book!!! Only a crimson, blood-sprinkled Book, can remain pure!!! Only a blood-sprinkled Book can maintain its power!!! Only a blood-sprinkled Book can meet our need!!! We are all hell-deserving, filthy, ungodly, sinners. Only the precious blood of Jesus Christ can washed away our sins and cleanse us eternally!!!

God will not allow even one sin into Heaven? Since all Christians still sin, how can believer enter into Heaven? Obviously something must keep us pure. Praise God... THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN!!! 1st John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Revelation 1:5, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.” The precious blood of Jesus Christ keeps us pure!!! We all sin by commission (doing things we shouldn't do) and omission (not doing things that we should do). Hallelujah for THE BLOOD that keeps us pure as believers!!! Phooey on Dr. John MacArthur, who falsely teaches that Jesus' blood dried up and soaked into the dirt at Calvary, and is not applied to the Mercy Seat in heaven.

The Bible Also Needs Purification

The holy Bible (AL 66 BOOKS) needs purification by blood. There are three reasons why God's Word must be purified with blood:

  1. IT WAS WRITTEN BY SINFUL MEN - Moses knew that he was a sinful man. Yet, God was using him to write the pure Word of God. When Moses finished penning the words which God Had dictated to him, he immediately purified the Bible with blood. The blood keeps it pure!
  2. IT WAS COPIED BY SINFUL MEN - The Alexandrian crowd tell us that when the copies were made, we lost the inspiration, we lost the perfection, and lost the truth partially, and the old originals are gone; and so we have to listen to the Alexandrians to find out what God said. No, God kept one set of manuscripts perfect and pure, by the blood, even though it was being copied by sinful men. It is a blood-sprinkled Book, and the blood purifies!!!
  3. IT HAS BEEN TRANSLATED BY SINFUL MEN - If it's not a blood-sprinkled Book, it's going to be wrong from day one. If it's not a blood-sprinkled Book, the contaminating hands of men would mess it up. Look what they've done with the stuff that's not sprinkled with the blood, that they call a “Bible”! Aren't you glad you've got a blood-sprinkled Book?!

Notice that Jesus said they are, “My words” Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Jesus is the Author of the Word of God. Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Where do you get your faith from? That's right, the Word of God (Romans 10:17). So the Author must continually purify His Book, with His blood, because it's handled by sinful men.

God Only Wrote One Book... THE BOOK!!!

Look here again at Hebrews 9:19, “For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people.” There are eight words you ought to underline in that verse, so that when you look at that verse, they'll stand out to your eyes.

Here are the 8 words that you ought to memorize:

...HE TOOK THE BLOOD

...AND SPRINKLED

...THE BOOK

How many bloods are there? “THE BLOOD” was sprinkled on “THE BOOK”! Amen! So how many books can there be? Obviously, JUST ONE BOOK!!!!!!! Notice the singularity... “THE BOOK”! It's the blood sprinkled Book. The blood guarantees the veracity, the purity, the dependability and the truth of the Book. There can only be one real Bible in any language! According to the American Bible Society, there are approximately 900 different English Bibles! God's Word is not random. In English, “THE BOOK,” is the AV (AUTHORIZED VERSION) 1611 KING JAMES BIBLE!!! Notice the singularity. ....

THE BOOK!!!       THE BOOK!!!       THE BOOK!!!

THE BOOK!!! THE BOOK!!! THE BOOK!!! THE BOOK!!! THE BOOK!!! THE BOOK!!! GOD WROTE ONE BOOK... THE BOOK!!!!!!!

Psalms:12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Perhaps you ask, “How do you know it is the King James Bible?” Well, let me give you a brief history lesson. You know that there are two superpowers in the universe: God and the Devil. So then everything in the universe has one of those two for its source. There's no third source, right? So then everything that calls itself a “Bible” would have to have one of those two for its source. Since God's not the author of confusion (1st Corinthians 14:33), then He only put out one...THE BOOK!!! Who put out all the rest of them? You got it... THE DEVIL!!!

When the manuscripts were collected into 66 books, they were collected in the city of Antioch, Syria, by a Christian man named Lucian in the church. Lucian was a member of the First Baptist Church of Antioch. That's were our beloved King James Bible originated, in Antioch, Syria. Even the apostle Paul had his membership in the First Baptist Church in Antioch. That wasn't the actual name of the church, but they dead sure weren't Presbyterians with their doctrine of the sacraments! They were a blood-sprinkled church using only a blood-sprinkled Book!

In sharp contrast, the manuscripts from which ALL other Bible today have their origin is Alexandria, Egypt. God doesn't like Egypt. God doesn't like Alexandria! The source for the New International version (NIV), Easy-To-Read Version (ERV), New King James Bible (NKJB), American Standard Version (ASV) is Alexandria, Egypt. You cannot get good fruit our of a rotten tree! The corrupt manuscripts are not blood-sprinkled; They're packed full with false statements and contradictions!!!

The King James Bible is God's crimson book—God's blood-sprinkled, pure, perfect, infallible, inerrant, inspired, dependable, eternal, Book. Every page of this King James Bible is crimsoned with the blood of its Author!!! King James Bible is crimsoned with the blood of its Author! All 66 books of this holy inspired Bible is crimsoned with the blood of Jesus Christ. All 1,189 chapters are crimsoned with the blood of Jesus Christ! All 31,175 verses are crimsoned with the blood of Jesus Christ! All 810,697 words are crimsoned with the blood of Jesus Christ. All 3,568,489 letters are crimsoned with the blood of Jesus Christ!!!!!!! It's a blood-sprinkled Book! The blood of the Lamb streaks every page!!! This King James Bible is signed and sealed by the blood of its Author!!!

Why should we believe that the King James Bible is inspired? Because it is a blood-sprinkled Book!!!
Why should we believe that the King James Bible is perfect? Because it is a blood-sprinkled Book!!!
Why should we believe that the King James Bible is infallible? Because it is a blood-sprinkled Book!!!
Why should we believe that the King James Bible is inerrant? Because it is a blood-sprinkled Book!!!

The King James Bible is a blood-sprinkled Book; therefore we:

We obey it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We love it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We trust it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We read it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We study it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We preach it, because it's God's sprinkled Book!
We proclaim it to be God's sprinkled Book!

THE BOOK is a crimson (the color of blood, i.e., blood) sprinkled Book...

Its veracity is established, because it is a crimson Book!
Its purity is established, because it is a crimson Book!
Its dependability is established, because it is a crimson Book!
Its truth is established, because it is a crimson Book!
Kept pure BY THE BLOOD!

If you don't have a King James Bible, you have a Devil's Bible!!!!!!

The Holy Bible Belongs to God Alone, Bought With the Blood

When Moses sprinkled the people with blood, it signified that they belonged to God. They were bought with a price, and that “PRICE” is the blood of Jesus Christ. 1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” Revelation 5:9, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” We are a blood-bought, blood-possessed, people. We belong to God because He has bought us with His blood!!! Hallelujah!!!

The same thing holds true of God's Book—Moses took His blood and sprinkled the Book—The blood of the Old Testament and the blood of the New Testament!!! It is a blood-sprinkled Book, which means that it is possessed by God. It is God's Book. He repeatedly says, “My words,” “My word,” “the word of the Lord, et cetera. God doesn't own, but one Book! When men mess with the Scriptures, they are messing with God. It is His blood-bought Book. How dare men change it, tamper with it, and alter its meaning to fit their wicked agendas and expand their marketing base! Satan is behind the modern, Alexandrian, corrupt, Bible revisions!

If you're not a blood-sprinkled person, you're lost. You can be water-sprinkled, called “baptism,” but that will NEVER wash your sins away. You've got to have your sins washed in the blood of the sinless Lamb of God, Who died in your place on the cross.

The Holy Bible is Dedicated to The Use and Service of God By the Blood

When Moses sprinkled the people with blood, it was to say, “I'm dedicating you to the service and use of almighty God!” Likewise, God's Word is dedicated for the use and the service of the almighty God, by the very blood of Jesus Christ, its Author. God only uses ONE BOOK! I hold that precious Book in my hands in the beloved King James Bible!!! It is a blood-sprinkled Book! Hallelujah for the blood! Hallelujah for the Book! Hallelujah for the One Who shed the blood and sprinkled the Book! Let God use us, to use this, for His service. It's a great thing to stand on the King James Bible, and know and believe it, but we must also put it to work. It's a Sword, not a garden tool. It's the Sword of the Spirit!!! Therefore, because it's the blood-sprinkled Book—We must obey it, we preach it, we must love it, we must read it, we must study it, we must proclaim it for what it is—GOD'S BLOOD-SPRINKLED BOOK!!!!!!! THE END.

Dr. Al Lacy - Man Of God!

In April 1961, Dr. Al Lacy (1933-2016) was ordained by Fellowship Baptist Temple in Littleton, Colorado. After his ordination, he was sent out to start a new church in Denver, Colorado. In that same month, Denver Baptist Temple was founded with seventeen people meeting in a public school building. From this humble beginning, the Lacys moved to a two-story house that was located on four acres of property. The ...church used the home's three-car garage as the auditorium, and nearly every room in the house was used for Sunday School.

By 1966, Denver Baptist Temple was running over five hundred in attendance. The church built a new building with an eight hundred seat auditorium, including classrooms and offices. With hundreds being saved and baptized, Denver Baptist Temple became the fastest-growing church in the Rocky Mountain region. By 1969, a 1,800 seat auditorium was built, along with classrooms and offices to meet the needs of the growing church. In that same year, the church founded the Temple Baptist Bible College with Dr. Lacy as its president. In April of 1972, the church was running over 1,600. However, Dr. Al Lacy decided to answer God's definite call to full-time evangelism.

Since entering the field of evangelism. Dr. Lacy has preached the Word of God all over the United States and in twenty-eight foreign countries. In his thirty-six years of evangelism, he has flown over 2.5 million miles on commercial airlines. He has kept records of the souls who have come to the Lord for salvation in his meetings and whom he has led to Christ personally. Together, these numbers total to just over 95,000 people. In the past thirty years, Dr. Lacy has become known for his strong stand on the King James Bible.

My Notes From Dr. Al Lacy's 'King James Bible Seminar' From 1992 At Hyles-Anderson College

“Every word in this Bible is inspired by God almighty!”
—Dr. Jack Hyles (a great quote from the classic sermon, “A Friend At Midnight.”)

Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”

“The only inspired Words of God are in the King James Bible!”
—Dr. Jack Hyles (an awesome quote —Dr. Jack Hyles (THE REAL BATTLE!”)

“And brother, any time anybody ever casts any reflection upon the accuracy and the inspiration—verbal inspiration—of this Bible, I'll guarantee you he was inspired by the demons. I'll guarantee you! I don't care if he's got a 'reverend' in front of his name. I don't care if he has a clerical collar on. I don't care what school he's been to. He's of the Devil if he says that the Bible is not verbally inspired by God! —Dr. Jack Hyles, a great quote from the awesome MP3 sermon titled, “Satan's masterpiece.”
