My Notes From Dr. Al Lacy's King James Bible Seminar (Page 3)
by David J. Stewart | May 2016
Psalms 138:2, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”
I attended a King James Bible seminar taught by Pastor Al Lacy on July 27-31, 1992 at Hyles-Anderson College. It was one of my most cherished and memorable memories. I was privileged to meet Pastor Gayle Russ and his son from Evansville, Indiana, at the event. What a blessing! I took diligent notes. I found my old notes while looking through a box of old things this week. My heart leaped when I found the note pad. So here are my notes from the King James Bible seminar. I pray they will be as much a blessing to you as they still are to me.
GOD'S WORDS (PLURAL)
*How careless of the Alexandrians to think that God cared so little about His Words that He let them die after the originals.
Isaiah 51:15-16 - “I have put My words in thy mouth”
Isaiah 59:21 - “My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth”
Exodus 24:3-4 - “all the words”
I Samuel 3:19 - “Let none of His words fall to the ground”
Proverbs 30:5-6 - “Every Word of God is pure.” - “Add thou not unto His Words!” Proverbs 30:6, “Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”
Isaiah 31:1-2 - “The Lord will not call back His words.”
Luke 1:20 - “My words”
John 6:68 - “words of life”
Acts 20:35 - “Remember the words of the Lord.”
John 12:48-49 - “words”
Mark 12:13, “words”
Romans 14:12 and Matthew 12:36-37 - “For by thy words shalt thou be justified and condemned.”
Revelation 13:5-6 - Satan blasphemes through the Antichrist and the Alexandrians.
Psalms 138:2 - If it's a horrible thing to blaspheme God, how much more His Word? God magnifies His Word above all His name (because like a man, God's name is only as good as His word).
Copies are inspired and just as perfect as the originals.
Psalms 12:6-7 - Alexandrians are humanists; They want to put everything in the hands of man.
Deuteronomy 17:18-19 - King Saul was to have God's Word (a copy - verse 18).
Joshua 8:31-35 - “a copy” - Joshua chips out a new copy on stone of Moses law. Not one word was left out (verse 35).
*Before Jesus incarnation , His name was “the word of God” (John 1:1).
Proverbs 1:1 and 10:1 - Solomon wrote Proverbs.
Chapter 25 tells us that chapters 25-31 were COPIED by Hezekiah's men. Proverbs 25:1, “These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.”
Psalms 119 - 174th verses mention the phrase “God's word.” Wow!
Psalms 119:60 - The Word of God “endureth forever”
*Only the King James Bible can enter into Heaven; Nothing that defileth Heaven can enter!
—Notes from July 31, 1992—
*If only the originals are inspired, then Proverbs 25-31 are not inspired. Proverbs 25:1 says they were COPIED.
Verbal Inspiration = Of, in, or by means of words (Webster's dictionary)
Plenary Inspiration = Full or complete (Webster's dictionary)
Inspired = To motivate by divine influence (Webster's dictionary)
God motivates His Word through the ages.
Isaiah 40:8 - If the Word of God loves forever, it must be alive. It must have Spirit (or inspired). The parchment and ink weren't inspired, the words are inspired (then and now).
Hebrews 4:12 - “For the word of God is” (not “was” as the Alexandrians say). God's Word is quick (alive).
*Paul told Timothy that when Jesus comes, He will judge the quick and the dead.
*A man who believes he is not a sinner is a self-deceived liar (I John 1:8-10).
“pierce” = to force your way into (Webster's dictionary)
Hebrews 4:12 - God's Word forces His way into our hearts. The NIV and ASV have no piercing power!
“discern” = to perceive or recognize quickly (Webster's dictionary)
Hebrews 4:12 - The Word of God is the subject. Verse 13 refers to the subject of verse 12 as “His.” The Word of God is the person Jesus Christ.
John 12:48 - The Word will judge the lost sinners at The Great White Throne Of Judgment. You can't judge if you can't think. God's Word can think. It's an alive Book. More than mere ink and paper.
Galatians 3:8 - “the Scripture”
Romans 9:17 and Exodus 9:16 - God is the Scripture and the Scripture is God.
John 1:1 - Jesus is God!
I John 1:1 - Jesus is called “the word of life” (John 14:6; John 11:25).
JESUS CHRIST IS ETERNAL LIFE! (I John 1:2). ETERNAL LIFE IS A PERSON!
I John 5:20 - Jesus is called “the true God” and “eternal life.”
AT SALVATION GOD GIVES ME TWO THINGS:
Everlasting life - My own life that will endure forever starts.
Eternal life - Always was.
Revelation 19:13 - To pick on the King James Bible is to pick on Jesus Himself!
II Timothy 4:2 - “preach the word”
I John 1:9 - Jesus is “the word of life”!
Philippians 2:16 - The Bible is “the word of life”!
I John 1:1 - Jesus is called “life”!
Romans 8:9 - The Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of Christ.”
Romans 8:2 - The Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of life.”
Romans 8:9 - The Holy Spirit is called “the Spirit of God.”
Romans 8:11 - The Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead.
John 10:17-18 - Jesus raised Himself from the grave.
John 14:16-17 - The Holy Spirit lives in you and keeps you in Christ.
TWO WAYS TO DIE:
In Christ (Revelation 14:13 - “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.”
In your sins (John 8:24 - The sting of death).
Revelation 1:18 - Jesus promises to live forever!
Ephesians 1:13-14 - The Spirit of life (He keeps the Word of God alive).
QUESTION: Does the Holy Spirit keep us alive? ANSWER: Of course, Yes! So then why wouldn't He keep His Word alive?
I Peter 1:23 - The Bible lives on because it's incorruptible! We will receive an incorruptible body. We will live forever.
Genesis 2:7 - God breathed the breath of life into man and man became a living soul.
*God only breathed into mankind one time and it carries on. Likewise, God's breath of life on His Words is perpetual, never revived!
*If you really want to know what the originals were, they were spoken words. Luke 24:24 - “have spoken” (not written).
II Peter 1:21 - “but holy man of God spake” (Before it was written, it was spoken!)
*The inspiration never stops!
*The King James Bible will put broken homes and lives back together. An uninspired Bible will kill you! The NIV spiritually kills its readers. The letter killeth, but the Spirit giving life.
Deuteronomy 32:2 - God's work is a perfect work.
Ecclesiastes 3:10 and II Timothy 3:16 - How can an incorrect book correct me? The Alexandrians are foolish! If God's Word was incorrect, we wouldn't need it (II Timothy 3:16). A criminal doesn't execute judgment!
“Every word” is important in court. “Every word” is important to an unsaved lawyer. One careless word could cost the case. One word on a doctor's prescription could cost you your life! Don't you think God's Word is important! When it comes to the book dealing with lost souls, man (Alexandrians) take it lightly! God doesn't get as much credit as does a lawyer or a court recorder or an investigator.
*Here is why any blood-washed, born-again, God-fearing, believing-Christian should abstain from false Bibles.
I Corinthians 15:55 - “grave” is translated “Hades” in the New King James Version (NKJV).
Judges 5:24 - “above” is “among” in the NKJV. They don't want to insult the Catholics by elevating Jael above Mary, so they change it.
Job 26:6 - “hell” was changed (watered down) to “Sheol” in the NKJV (23 times this was done in the NKJV).
*Jerry Falwell said the Pope is a great Christian leader!
*Many so-called “Independent Fundamental Baptists” don't want to hear about Hell and criticize those who do!
Matthew 20:20 - “worshipping Him” (Jesus) - HE IS GOD! The NKJV left out “worshipping”! They changed it to “kneel.”
*If I drop something and “kneel” to pick it up, I am not worshipping it!
I Corinthians 12:27 - Ye are the Body of Christ (not “a part”). Every New Testament local church is a complete body! A universal church is heresy!
Philippians 2:5-6 - Look it up!
*The NIV is a “holey Bible” (holes in it).
Matthew 27:4 - “the innocent blood” is missing in the New International Version (NIV). They take Jesus off His throne of deity and make Him as a regular man.
*Children have the blood of their fathers only, not the mother. If my dad is English and my mom Swedish, I'm both (that's the chromosomes - Nationality has nothing to do with the blood).
Romans 5:12 - Adam was said to be the sinner, not Eve, even though she was the first to sin. Yea, the sin passed down through the blood (the father's blood perpetuates). Jesus DID NOT have Joseph's blood (He was virgin born). God does have blood (Acts 20:28).
Mary called Jesus her “Saviour” (Luke 2:52). Jesus did not have one drop of Mary's blood! The placenta seals in the man's blood.
*God bought the Church with His blood (Acts 20:28).
Mark 15:28 - The NIV left the entire verse out! They didn't want to admit the fact that Jesus was crucified between two sinners!
Matthew 18:11 - “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.” The NIV took it out! I told you it was a “holey Bible”!
Matthew 23:14 - It's gone!
Hebrews 1:3 - “by Himself” is gone! Everyone who believes in works salvation doesn't believe Jesus did it by Himself, but they must help out with baptism, et cetera.
I Timothy 3:16 - “God” is now “He” (deity gone).
Revelation 5:10 - “kings” is now “kingdom” (They don't believe we will reign with Christ, but the saved will).
John 3:16, I John 2:1 and I john 3:1 - “the sons of God” (NIV took “begotten” out of John 3:16). God has more than one son! I'm an adopted son (John 1:12; Romans 8:15). They took Jesus' deity from Him!
Colossians 1:13-14 - “through the blood” was taken out in the NIV. Every effective lie is wrapped in some truth!
Revelation 22:7, 12, and 20 - “quickly” is now “soon.” Soon? It's been 2,000 years! Don't you know that 1,000 days are as a day WITH THE LORD? The Rapture will happen “in the twinkling of an eye” (I Corinthians 15:52). That's 1/30th of a second.
Revelation 21:24 - “saved” is taken out! It's Satan's lie that everyone goes to Heaven! Only those which are saved go.
Judas is the Antichrist! Judas Iscariot is the only person Jesus ever called “a devil” (John 6:70). A Baptist preacher was he! Wow! Satan entered into Judas (the only record in Scripture of Satan entering a person).
Mark 1:2 - I double-dog-dare Charles Stanley, James Dobson, the Zondervan family, John MacArthur, et cetera, to show me Mark 1:2 in the book of Isaiah. The NIV says in Mark 1:1 it's written in Isaiah!
Galatians 5:4 - You've got to believe right to get saved! You cannot go to Heaven and believe you've got to help Jesus! What does “fallen from grace” mean? Galatians 3:26 - “Ye are all the children of God” (present tense). Paul calls these Galatians “Brethren” (Galatians 4:28-31). In Verse 5:1 he refers to “us.” If Paul was saved, he obviously thought they were!
The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth!
