“It is not persecution of the church in China that I fear. The church has always been able to weather persecution. My fear is love of money in the church.” —Chinese pastor
1st Timothy 6:3-5, “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
It is really sad and tragic. As you've just read from the Bible, greedy false prophets who are destitute of truth will come come to us, associating financial gain with godliness. The Bible says to turn away from them!!! Ken Ham, Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, Pat Robertson, Eric Hovind and Paul Taylor and umpteen more... they've all got something to sell, and they're raking in the big money! (Ray Comfort's Pay Of The Master machine). The desire and pursuit of money is one of the most harmful habits in the believer's life. Because covetousness is so natural (carnal), it is rarely recognized for the evil that it is. But its outworkings are tragic.
Please understand that I am NOT against Christians making money. I promote churches, organizations and individual preachers who sell things, just so long as they are preaching the truth uncompromisingly and helping others in the Lord. I don't accept money, never have, and never will. I do this for numerous reasons, mainly to show people that I am 100% sincere in my work, labouring only to honor, uplift and promote the King James Bible, the Gospel and the precious Lord Jesus Christ. My reward is in Heaven!!!
What bothers me is when a minister or ministry has become money-hungry. The whole Young Earth movement has become a big money-making racket, simply because the subject of Creation, Evolution and the origin of the universe, earth and man is so widely followed. I have a problem with Henry Morris III of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) paying himself 141,131 a year.[3] I have a problem with false prophet John MacArthur getting paid $246,586 a year by Grace To You in 2013.[1] That doesn't include book sale profits. A pastor ought not get paid an extravagant salary as a servant of God.
If you want to make lots of money, print a bunch of eye-capturing books and brochures with artistic packaging on the subjects of Bible Prophecy, Illuminati, New World Order, Satanism and Creationism and you'll make tons of money. People are fascinated with controversial topics, especially the future. It's all in the packaging (eye-candy). I could do it if I wanted, but that's not where my heart is at. My heart is in YOU for Christ Jesus!!! YOU are my main reward! YOU are my ministry! YOU are my zeal, because I want to see the Lord Jesus Christ formed in YOU! Galatians 4:19, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.” I'm going to enjoy my treasures in Heaven, but YOU being there will be my greatest joy in Heaven, knowing that God used my humble labors to help you get saved and/or grow in the Lord. I want to invite my web visitors into my home in Heaven, and cook a big feast for you, and welcome you as my family.
It's ok for a ministry to sell things to keep the doors open, but it's evil and a rotten sin when making money becomes the main priority. False prophet Ken Ham of AnswersInGenesis.org was paid $146,951 in 2014.[2] His so-called ministry took in $27,119,236 in 2014, which is considerably up from $20 million a few years earlier. All Ken Ham has been talking about, regarding his Noah's ark theme park in Kentucky, is how much money and jobs it's going to generate! The ark project was originally estimated to cost $73,000,000 but is now at $120,000,000. The Noah's Ark Theme Park is privately owned and a FOR PROFIT endeavor, projected to bring in $4,000,000,000 over 10-years.
In my humble opinion, it is all about the money, and a reproach to the name of Jesus Christ, irreverent of a horrible tragedy when God destroyed the earth because of massive widespread wickedness!!! I'm sick of hearing how many jobs the “Ark Encounter” will generate in Grant county, Kentucky. I haven't heard anything about getting people saved with the preaching of the Gospel. America has become a giant Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Ark Encounter project is a mockery upon our sinful nation. Truly, we are living in the Last Days. It is ironic to me, in plain view of the New World Order rising to power in the world, and the destruction of the Old World Order in the United States, that a mock Noah's Ark is being erected.
Organized manmade religion is a road to apostasy. We all need the unchanging truth of the Word of God!!! The holy Bible warns...
1st Timothy 6:8-10 warns, “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”
Ken Ham is an evil man with a greedy heart as far as I'm concerned, who has exploited the Bible and Christianity to become filthy rich. Mr. Ham's so-called “ministry” Answers-In-Genesis (AIG) takes in about $27,000,000 each and every year! This is NOT how a true man of God behaves. The Gospel isn't even preached on his Answers-In-Genesis website. Like the contemptible Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) industry that mocks God's holiness, it's all about the LOVE OF MONEY. Woe unto the wicked!
“It is not persecution of the church in China that I fear. The church has always been able to weather persecution. My fear is love of money in the church.” —Chinese pastor
“Prosperity knits a man to the World. He feels that is 'finding his place in it,' while really it is finding its place in him.” —C.S. Lewis (Into The Wardrobe)
“Money will buy a bed but not sleep, books but not brains, food but not appetite, finery but not beauty, medicine but not health, luxury but not culture, amusement but not happiness, a crucifix but not a Saviour, a temple of religion but not heaven.” —Author Unknown
Christianity began as a new birth by faith in Jesus Christ. When it went to Athens, Greece it became a philosophy. When it went to Rome it became an organization (the demonic cult of Roman Catholicism). When it spread throughout Europe it became a culture. And sadly, when Christianity came to America it was turned into a lucrative business! The truth is that it's NOT Christianity at all; but rather, evil exploitation of the name of Christianity for personal profit. Jesus said that God's house ought to be a place of PRAYER, not MAKING MONEY!!! Jesus called them “thieves.” We've got a bunch of religious thieves and con-artists running around in Jesus' name, suckering the churches out of their money!
The Evils of the Young Earth Creation Gang
Rachel Maddow rightfully exposes Ken Ham and his money-making circus of Young Earth Creationists for the fools they are. The fraud of a Young Earth Creation lends ammunition to atheists, liberals and other unbelievers in Christ to blaspheme the Church. Ken Ham's new NOAH'S ARK THEME PARK EXHIBIT in Kentucky is all about making lots of money, under the excuse of proving jobs for the local economy. May I say, Christianity is not a business. Moreover, what Ken Ham is doing isn't even Christianity; but rather, the exploitation of Christianity, corrupting the Word of God to mean something that it is not.
Ken Ham is a false prophet who foolishly teaches that the earth is only 6,000 years old, and that dinosaurs and man lived at the same time (only true in the cartoon The Flintstones) and that Noah took baby dinosaurs onto the ark. What a joke! The Bible is being ravished by Godless, greedy, Hollywood producers; and Godless, money-grabbing, sinister ministers alike! 'Creation Science Evangelism,' 'Institute for Creation Research (ICR),' and 'Creation Today' (Eric Hovind's new ministry) are money-making businesses. Ken Ham's apostate Answers In Genesis (AIG) took in over $22,000,000 in 2010. Former AIG administrator, Paul Taylor, now works with Eric Hovind and Creation Today. Ken Ham has turned the Bible into a lucrative business, which is wrong. Eric Hovind is marketing new t-shirts promoting a Young Earth heresy, which concerns me greatly. I don't see souls being saved, I see money being made... money, money, money! A word of Caution about Kent and Eric Hovind's ministry.
On March 28, 2014 Hollywood released a demonic film titled, “NOAH.” In the film Russell Crowe (Noah) is portrayed as an environmental whacko. Allegedly God destroyed the earth because man did not protect the environment. Noah is portrayed as a psychotic madman on the ark, who is trying to murder his own pregnant daughter-in-law to complete the annihilation of the human race. This is the Satanic mockery of God's Word by Hollywood. The film shows fallen angels (demons) helping Noah build the ark.
False prophet Ray Comfort (who rakes in over $2,000,000 a year) has produced his own film titled “Noah The Movie” to counter Hollywood's butchering of the film (portraying Noah as a drunken lunatic). Albeit, money-grabbing ministers Ken Ham (Answers In Genesis) and Eric Hovind (Creation Science Evangelism) are promoting Ray Comfort's film and SELLING IT. Profits for everyone!!! Please read, the Unscholarly Rubbish Of Answers-In-Genesis!
“Whatsoever I thankfully receive, as a token of God's love to me, I part with contentedly as a token of my love to Him.” —Theophilus Gale (Online Snippet of His Life)
It is tragic that these so-called “ministers” (servants) of the Gospel are profiting handsomely from their works. But these aren't works for Jesus Christ; but rather, self-righteous works to benefit themselves. The Gospel ought not be for sale! It is wrong, sinful and unethical to exploit the Bible to make money. Again, I'm not talking about living of the Gospel if one labors to preach it. 1st Corinthians 9:14, “Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.” This Scripture can easily be abused to justify greed. Living of the Gospel does not mean profiting of the Gospel. ...
Matthew 21:13, “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”
Have you ever heard any of these conmen teach about the need, command and importance of prayer? Of course not, because they're in the business of making money to sustain their extravagant lifestyles. Ken Ham is using a bunch of double-talk in an attempt to convince people that his non-profit (what a misnomer) Answers-In-Genesis organization is only a “MEMBER” of the ArcEncounter LLC investment company which will build and run the theme park.
“Jesus Christ said more about money than about any other single thing because, when it comes to a man's real nature, money is of first importance. Money is an exact index to a man's true character. All through Scripture there is an intimate correlation between the development of a man's character and how he handles his money.” —Richard C. Halverson
ArcEncounter LLC is spending $150,000,000 investment to build the Noah's Ark theme park, which will include an actual full-sized replica of Noah's Arc. Ken Ham downplays his involvement in the theme park tourist attraction, continually repeating the claim that Answers-In-Genesis is only a member of ArcEncounter LLC.
The nauseating truth is that heretic Ken Ham stands to gain hundreds-of-millions of dollars if the park becomes successful. In an Anderson Cooper 360 interview with Barry Lynn, Ken Ham stated that the state of Kentucky stands to gain $4,000,000,000 (FOUR BILLION DOLLARS) over 10-years from the theme park, which will be PRIVATELY OWNED AND PROFIT-MAKING FOR THE PRIVATE OWNERS! That's NOT Biblical Christianity.
“Many Christians and Christian leaders have been neutralized by the love of money and materialism. The homage paid to affluence becomes a burden that saps our energy as well as our love for God and other people. Though repentance and the cleansing of forgiveness, we can rid ourselves of this burden and begin to let God transform our value system. Like Jesus and Paul, we can learn to be content with what we have, living modestly in order that we may give liberally to the work of the kingdom and to meet the needs of others.” —John Wimber
Truly, we are living in wicked times that are so much worse than Sodom and Gomorrah ever were. What Ken Ham is building is a total mockery of the Word of God. When asked by Anderson Cooper if he was trying to convert people, he responded by saying that the theme park is privately owned by the investment group, not Answers-in-Genesis. What a lame copout! In the preceding video, Kentucky governor Steve Beshear said publicly that he thinks the park is a great idea and that the park is projected to create 900 new jobs in Petersburg, Kentucky (550 of which will be full-time). Some of the worst evils are justified with good intentions.
“Prosperity knits a man to the World. He feels that is 'finding his place in it,' while really it is finding its place in him.” —C.S. Lewis (Into The Wardrobe)
God has given us two hands—one to receive with and the other to give with. We're not supposed to be Dead Sea Christians. The Dead Sea south of Jerusalem is completely dead because water only flows down into it from the fast-moving Jordan River, from the Sea Of Galilee up north. There's no outlet from the Dead Sea. The salt content is very high. Sodom and Gomorrah once stood along the Dead Sea. God rained down fire and brimstone (pure sulfur) upon the entire area in judgment, as an example of what will happen to all the wicked in Hell (Jude 1:7). We ought to be Jordan River Christians, that is, constantly receiving and giving. END
When darkness is brought into the light, it loses its power!
2nd Peter 2:1, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
