Psalms 57:1, “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.”
Our Baptist churches are filled with churchgoers who fill 18 inches of pew three times a week, sing “Holy, Holy, Holy,” but never do anything to serve God. Going to church is not a ministry. I've met umpteen Christians who are just going through the motions, as frustrated as can be spiritually, because the pulpit in their Baptist church as DEAD. The alters are empty at invitation time. The baptistry is seldom used. The Lordship Salvation heresy is taught. John MacArthur is their idol. Most of the church women wear pants. Soul-winning is not taught. They uses multiple Bible versions. The power of the Holy Spirit is not taught nor sought. It's a shame.
The pastor is often absent from his pulpit. Church is cancelled on Sunday evenings on a regular basis for holidays, substituted with cell groups (watch care meetings) and music cantatas. No wonder our nation is going to Hell in a wheelbarrow!!! Honestly, I don't blame Christians for wanting to stay home rather than play church! The world is literally dying for something real. This weak-kneed generation of milquetoast preachers who can't preach their way out of a wet paper-bag make God vomit (because they are lukewarm, Revelation 3:15-16).
Are you real? I sure want to be. I'm just a big sinner saved by God's grace. As a born-again Christian there's a fire burning in my soul. That's the inspired Words of God! The Holy Bible burned in the prophet Jeremiah's heart. Jeremiah 20:9, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.” Is the Bible burning in your heart? Have you been abiding in the Holy Scriptures as Jesus commanded in John 5:39... SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! Our churches are dying and most are already dead. That's why 20,562 Presbyterian ministers in March of 2015 approved of sex perverts (homosexuals) getting married. Can you imagine?
My friend, you are not a good Christian just because you go through the motions of attending church, prayer, tithing and singing each Sunday. In fact, you may not even be a Christian. In Acts 10:1-2, we read about an affluent man named Cornelius, a centurion leader of an Italian squad of 100 soldiers. Cornelius was an unsaved man, but he feared God, prayed, and gave money to the poor. Later in the chapter, in verses 44-45, Cornelius received the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was saved. This passage of Scripture in Acts 10:1-2 is important, because it shows that a person can go through all the motions of doing good, praying and giving to the poor; yet go straight to Hell in their sins when they die. Jesus said in John 3:3 that except a man is born again, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. We've got to be born-again!!!
Our churches are in sad shape today, filled with apostates who only come to selfishly get something. Some people want their children in a religious school. Others want the prestige. Some people want their family in a social environment of good people. Others want to feel religious, easing their conscious about their sinful past. Unfortunately, none of these things impress God. You're not a good Christian just because you sit in a pew each Sunday, tithe, pray, sing and play church. The truth has few friends these days. In shocking irony, many churches boast of their desire for the truth, while using satanic counterfeits for Bibles. Satan is laughing!
While many churches profess to have the way of salvation, they corrupt the simplicity that is in Christ by requiring people to make Jesus Lord, forsake sinful behavior and surrender their life to Christ in order to be saved. They are blinded by the Devil, having added human effort to God's simple plan of salvation. I wish it weren't so!
God Uses Misfits
“I'm so tired of churches being satisfied. Somebody needs to fire up for God and realize we don't have much time left. Jesus is coming again. We better charge Hell and we better do something about the fact that people need to be born again.” —Pastor Jeff Owens, “Our New Year Plan Glorifying Him” (MP3).
Revelation 14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
