Christian Rap/Rock

An excuse for "Christians" to live in sin, in Jesus' name.

by Robert J. Stewart

Most Christians today aren't really "Christian" in the sense that they are still worldly. Sadly, many even try to justify their sins.   They are willingly ignorant of the Bible (the Truth) concerning holy living.  They set up this little world in their own mind that's straight out of hell while saying, "There's nothing wrong with it!"  When a caring Christian tries to show them the right way, saying "you're on the wrong side brother," they often get offended.  Instead of taking heed to words of wisdom, they...looking for ways to condone their sin...say otherwise and refuse your words.  Nevertheless, we must warn them.

"But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.  And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.  Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother." -2nd Thessalonians 3:13-15

One of the demons which we should be warning others about is the so-called "Christian rock/rap" music.  There ain't no such animal.  Artists like "P.O.D", Jump 5, Amy Grant, Stryper, and many other "Christian rock bands" are successfully luring America's Christian youth into the devil's music.

All these unholy entertainers are misleading this generation's youth, propagating the lie that Satanic music is actually good.  Most of America's born-again youth see no harm in "Christian rap or rock."  But have many of these young people really taken the time to look into what they're listening to?  Not really.  Rather, they make excuses by saying to themselves, "There's not a thing wrong with listening to this kind of music!"  In reality, everything is wrong with this corrupt music!

The Christian rap/rock crowd maintains the idea that "Christian Rap/Rock is a way to help bring more people to Christ by making the Christian life more fun and enjoyable."  Oh really?  Then while your at it, add some hardcore "Christian" hip-hop songs, with some "Christian" rappers to win people to Christ, and do this all in the name of GOD...Are you people crazy?!

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" -Isaiah 5:20

You can't do bad things and say that they're actually good; That's like saying abortion isn't murder when it's undoubtedly 100% murder.  That's like saying that the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible is more easier to read than the King James.  Did you know that the NIV is biased towards homosexuals?  It's true, the word "sodomite" was completely removed from the NIV.  The term "sodomite" implies JUDGMENT upon homosexuals, just as God destroyed wicked Sodom with fire and brimstone.  The term "homosexual" just specifies gender.  In reality, the NIV bible is straight out of the pits of hell, removing over 64,000 words as compared to the King James Bible (KJB).  By the way, the King James is not a "version," it is the Bible.  The NIV is corrupt!

"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." -Matthew 7:18

It's bad enough to know that rap/rock music is bad, and yet you still listen to it anyway.  But what's much worse is when you twist the truth, labeling rock/rap as "Christian," repackaging it into something that's "holy."  It is wicked to slap a "Christian" label onto the devil's music.  That's bad.  It's like saying there's nothing wrong with Harry Potter.  Harry Potter is nothing less than witchcraft repackaged.  It is so ironic that so-called Christian people are some of the biggest promoters of Harry Potter.  Even Christianity Today magazine gives raving reviews of Harry Potter.  It is an abomination unto God.  Witchcraft is of the devil, no matter how you label it.

The average believer is so gullible.   If the devil's crowd labels something as "Christian" (when it's really Satanic), most Christians agree and let their kids watch/listen to it?  Then after you let your child watch Harry Potter, you wonder why little Timmy is pretending to cast spells, chanting words he listened to during the movie.  Christians today have to start thinking for themselves.  As Christians, we must be extra diligent in these last days, not being ignorant of the devil's methods and devices.  The devil appears as an angel of light (2nd Corinthians 11:14).  Should it be surprising to us that Christianity Today would endorse Harry Potter?  Sad yes!  Surprising?,  No!  The devil is alive and well, roaming about seeking whom he may devour (1st Peter 5:8).  We must be vigilant against the devil, scrutinizing everything that is labeled as "Christian."

"Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand." -Micah 2:1
