Is Alice Cooper A Genuine Born Again Christian?
by David J. Stewart | April 2015
I don't believe that everybody who professes to be a Christian is saved. Case in point, freak hard rocker Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948), who allegedly came to Christ in the 1980's, but chose not to go public about it until 2002. What a sad joke! Cooper claims that his father was an evangelical preacher, but the truth is that his father was an unsaved sinister minister in the Masonic Mormon religion. The fact that he recognizes his Mormon father as a legitimate minister speaks volumes.
Presently, on Cooper's official YouTube channel, he boasts of being “the Prince of Darkness himself”! Alice Cooper is a Satanic reprobate! No one ever got saved who didn't realize that he is a sinner. I've done much research into Alice Cooper's profession of faith in Christ, and it is very evident that he only came to superficial religion, not Biblical Christianity (as I will show you).
Is Alice Cooper a genuine born-again Christian? Absolutely not! Alice Cooper is as unsaved as the Devil himself. Mr. Furnier (aka, Alice Cooper) is known as the “Godfather of Shock Rock!” Cooper (who has a net worth of $40,000,000[1]) actually says it offends him when people call him “Satanic.” Well, he is 100% Satanic! Just look at the magazine cover to the right. Alice looks like a Goth clown. In concert he dances with life-sized dolls, wears straight-jackets and glorifies wickedness through his music (if that's what you call that noise). As mentioned, Alice Cooper claims that he became a Christian during the 1980's, but chose to remain silent about it. In 2002 Cooper went public about his so-called faith. Here is a Satanic live concert in Moscow, Russia from 2011 where Alice Cooper performed his shameful works of darkness. Many of the fans are clearly flashing El Diablo (Spanish for “the devil”) hand signs, showing their allegiance to Satan.
The truth that I try to emphasize to my web visitors is that when you get saved, the Holy Spirit comes into your body to live. We call this being “indwelt” by the Spirit. Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Being a Christian with faults, even deliberately going into deep sin is one thing, but openly promoting wickedness and blaspheming God is the spirit of Satan. Alice Cooper is of the Devil, his lord . . .

Alice Cooper's Shallow Salvation Testimony
Here is what CBS News has to say about Alice Cooper allegedly becoming a Christian . . .
Alice Cooper, Christian: ‘The World Belongs to Satan’
CBS News | December 31, 2014
By Michael W. Chapman... “God’s chipping away at your life all the time to try to make you more like Him,” said Cooper. “That’s what a Christian is, a person that’s being molded and shaped all their life …. I think the Lord expects you to do your best in His name. I had to struggle a long time about rock and roll. I realized it’s not really the music. It’s what’s being said with the music. So I think you have to be careful of what you’re writing, what you’re representing.”
For those people who may have been big Alice Cooper fans back in 1970s and 1980s but who are still following the sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll lifestyle and not following Christ, Cooper said, “Well, they’re going to eventually know Christ, and I hope it’s not too late. If you’re at the wrong end at the wrong time, I think that’s going to be tragic.”
As for the temptations of this world, Cooper said, “Sure, what is the world made up of? It’s made up of that. The world doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to Satan. We’re living in that world. We’re bombarded with that every day.”
“So how do we react to that?” he said. “If you don’t have Christ in your life, then you’re a victim to it. So I think what we have to be very careful about is how we react to the world. If we have Christ in our life now, we have to react humbly. React in a teaching way and at the same time be humble about it.” [italics added]SOURCE: CBS News - Alice Cooper, Christian: ‘The World Belongs to Satan’
Alice Cooper makes no mention of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Alice speaks of “God chipping away at your life” to make you more like Him, but that is not Biblical. There must be a new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus said in John 3:3, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” There's no mention in Alice's shallow testimony of the Lord's shed blood on the cross, His death, burial nor bodily resurrection the third day. Instead, Alice says, “That’s what a Christian is, a person that’s being molded and shaped all their life.” Whoa, that's not what a Christian is! A Christian is someone who has been born-again by grace alone, through faith alone, in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. To learn the blessed truth of God's Word, please read the excellent sermon by Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951) titled, “What Is The Gospel?”
Here's further evidence of Vincent Furnier's (aka, Alice Cooper) shallow profession of Christianity. It appears to me, clearly, that Cooper came to religion, not true Christianity. Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) was right when he said that many people have churchianity without Christianity. Here's what World Net Daily says about Alice Cooper's religious experience . . .
ALICE COOPER GOES WITH GOD
'Shock-rock' pioneer now 'dedicated to follow Christ'World Net Daily | March 01, 2003
...Cooper said he became a Christian “initially more out of the fear of God, rather than the love of God … I did not want to go to hell.” Interviewed for HM’s March/April issue, Cooper views his faith as “an ongoing thing.”
“Being a Christian is something you just progress in. You learn. You go to your Bible studies. You pray,” he said.
SOURCE: World Net Daily: Alice Cooper Goes With GodMay I say, kindly, becoming a Christian is not “an ongoing thing,” nor is it “something you just progress in.” Becoming a Christian means being born-again by the Holy Spirit of God. The new birth is a miracle of God in response to a person's faith in the Gospel (Good News) of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was crucified on the cross for our sins and raised up the third day from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). ...
John 1:12-14, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
The new birth is instant, and then our new life in Christ continues (because the Holy Spirit indwells us). The new birth cannot be undone. Anyone who teaches that salvation can be lost utterly fails to comprehend the doctrine of the new birth. You can no more lose your salvation than a human child could be unborn into the world. If saved, always saved! Alice Cooper says he became a Christian in the 1980's. Why doesn't he mention a time and place, at least a memory, of the moment that he was born-again? The reason obviously is that he cannot, because he has never been born anew into the family of God.
Alice Cooper claims to believe the Bible 100%, that it says what it means and means what it says. Sounds good. Unfortunately, Mr. Cooper wouldn't know what the Bible teaches if it hit him upside the head. Sickeningly, Alice Cooper, when asked what the Gospel is according to him, says that God put him into the Rock music industry (in the camp of the Philistines as he calls it), and his contribution as a professed Christian in Satan's world of darkness is his testimony (read his shameful words for yourself) . . .
'The Harvest Show' interviewer asks: We've all heard of the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, what is the gospel according to Alice? If you were to summarize the message that so influenced your life, what would it be?
Alice Cooper responds: If it says that Jonah was swallowed by a whale, then it means it. I don't believe this stuff that it's all well, you know, it's kind of, those are all parables. I say if it says it, it means it. You know and, people will laugh at me and say, 'Well, you know, you can't really believe that.' And I go, 'Well if God can believe that God created the world and created everything in it, why wouldn't I believe a simple thing like that? That's not a hard thing. You know, the very fact that He cared enough about me to save my life about 20 times.
You know, and ah, help me survive a million different things, to help put me where I am now. And then the challenge I have now being a Christian in the Rock business. You know, He kind of put me in the camp of the Philistines, which is ok.
'The Harvest Show' interviewer asks: What's that like?
Alice Cooper responds: Well, you have to live your life every day. You have to live your faith. You know, I'm living in a world that's not my world. I know that, but I live in it, and I try to live my faith every day in it. That's my testimony!

What a bunch of bullcrap! Ladies and gentleman, you just read the testimony of a religious unsaved man who is doing much to harm Christianity every day of his life. Alice Cooper travels all around the world glorifying Satan with his music. Rock music has always been the Devil's music.
Notice that Alice was asked to summarize the greatest message he had ever heard that influenced his life. The interviewer references the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The best Alice could down is claim that he takes the Bible at face value (but is woefully ignorant of its truths) and is trying to live his faith in the Rock music industry. There is no mention of Christ at all.
If you were to ask me the same question, I would instantly tell you that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, was buried and raised up, and I realized at age 13 that I was a guilty sinner and believed on the name of Jesus to be saved. I believed the Gospel message! I received Jesus as my personal Savior! In sharp contrast, Alice Cooper didn't mention anything about the day, place or event when he was saved. Clearly, Alice has never been born-again and does not know the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
From reading all the information online about Alice's alleged conversion to Christianity, it is extremely clear that he has never been saved at all. Cooper is very wrong, even irreverent, to say that God put him in an immoral business that he openly admits is controlled by Satan. No one is making him stay there. No one forced him to serve the Devil. No one made Vincent Furnier (aka, Alice Cooper) sell his soul. Alice has a net worth of $40 million, while godly pastors and missionaries live on poverty wages around the world.
Alice Cooper is a very wicked man and will split Hell wide open when he dies, the very thing that he claims to fear. Alice said he got saved because he was afraid of going to Hell. The Holy Bible calls Alice Cooper is total liar in Psalms 36:1, “The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.” Those who live in open sin do not fear God. If they did, they would obey Him. Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Alice Cooper performs concerts with Satanic scum like Motley Crue, who openly worship Satan. Their concerts and albums feature an upside-down pentagram (the world recognized symbol for Satanism. A non-inverted pentagram represents the symbol for the occult). Who does Alice think that he's kidding? There are naked women at the concerts, drugs and every form of wickedness!!! Rock music is synonymous with substance abuse, sexual immorality and rebellion against authority.
Like phony Dave Mustaine of MEGADETH (another bogus professed Christian), Alice Cooper claims that as a result of their conversion to Christianity, they don't sing Satanic lyrics anymore. What a farce! They both still perform hellish heavy-metal music, with screeching electric guitars, thundering Rock 'N' Roll drum rhythms, booming bass riffs and all the elements of a Satanic offering. Dave Mustaine even called his Satanic album titled, “Th1rt3en,” “an offering.” The music is far more dangerous than the lyrics. During a 1993 Oprah Winfrey interview, Michael Jackson, explained the reason for some of his filthy sexual gestures during his concerts:
“It happens subliminally. IT'S THE MUSIC THAT COMPELS ME TO DO IT. You don't think about it, it just happens. I'M SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM.” (The Evening Star, Feb. 11, 1993, p. A10)
Unbelievably, Alice Cooper (who is now 67 years old) attributes his worldly success to God, claiming that God put him where he is now. That's really sad! The truth is that Satan put Alice Cooper where he's at. There is no doubt that Cooper signed an Illuminati contract, which is required in blood, and is life-binding, on penalty of losing everything. Famous celebrities in Hollywood and the music industry don't just get filthy rich and famous, they are required to sell their souls to Satan, in exchange for fame and fortune.
Alice Cooper's Satanic So-Called “Christian Walk”
Alice Cooper has become extremely wealth by glorifying sin, leading millions of fans into lives of alcoholism, drugs, sexual immorality, rebellion and reckless behavior since the mid 1960's. Here's the shameful video biography of Alice Cooper. There is no honor in Alice Cooper's pathetic career. Hell will be hot. In all the video documentaries and resources available, no where does Alice ever apologize for his shameful music and bizarre antics, both on and off stage (e.g., public nakedness, nude wrestling, cross-dressing, alcoholism, beheadings, hangings, butchered baby dolls, snakes, ripping live chickens apart in concert, et cetera). WHAT A SATANIC FRAUD!!!
Now all of a sudden in 2001 Alice Cooper professes to be a Christian, but he still defends, sings and performs the Devil's rock music. This is no different than if a lifelong pornographer claims to become a Christian, but now says that he's Christ's he will no longer publish vulgar interviews, but he'll publish pornography without the previous vulgar words (because it's really the words and not the pornography that are bad he says). This is Alice Cooper's attitude toward the Devil's music. Alice claims that it's the lyrics that are bad and not the music itself. That is a lie of Satan! Anyone who supports the evil villain of Alice Cooper or his music and behavior is not right with God. WHAT A BUNCH OF DEVILS! Only God knows how many teenager's lives have been ruined because of the evil influences of Alice Cooper's character.
Do you know why Alice is allegedly coming to Christ now? It is because all of those punky rebellious youth from Alice Cooper's early years are now in the 50's and 60's, getting up in years. The Devil is giving the illusion that you can serve evil in the name of Christ and die happy. Nothing could be further from the truth. If, just for the sake of argument (and I don't believe for one second that it's true), Alice Cooper were a genuine born-again Christian, he is a very wicked man, very far away from God, and as worldly and saturated with sin as can be. Alice Cooper is no hero! Vincent Furnier is no hero! His parents ought to greatly be ashamed. Worldly success is failure with God. I've yet to hear Mr. Furnier say anything to convince me that he's truly been born-again.
Here's another video, in which Alice makes some very interesting comments. Alice gives concise and well explained answers. Alice speaks of the God-shaped hole in man's heart, that nothing can fill except Christ. It sounds good. When asked what Alice would say to those who don't know Christ yet, he said that they WILL KNOW CHRIST eventually, but hopefully it won't be too late, being on the wrong side of the fence. Again, that sounds good. That is very true, and it almost seems to indicate that perhaps Alice is really saved. However, just because Alice makes some appealing religious comments in no way indicates that he is saved. Nobody knows as much about the Bible as the Devil.
Alice admits that he grew up in a church environment. He also admits that his father was a Mormon minister. Mormonism is of the Devil, a sex-perverted, Masonic, false religion of utter darkness!!! Alice continually speaks highly in religious terms of his MORMON father, who was an evangelist for 25 years. His wife is just as spiritually messed-up as he is. These are wicked people!!! Anything for fame and fortune. Mormonism is of the Devil, but Alice Cooper never exposes this Satanic cult, he promotes it by endorsing his father's Mormon work. Obviously, something is very wrong spiritually.
As the church becomes more worldly, so also is the world becoming more churchy. The clear line between being saved and unsaved has been blurred by Satan, to where now anybody who claims the name of Christ is automatically assumed to be a Christian. Remember, even Satan himself is transformed into the appearance of Christ, and so also are his servants (2nd Corinthians 11:13-14). Alice Cooper professes that Christ is his master, but he avoids speaking the name of JESUS!!! Is the coming Antichrist Alice Cooper's “Christ?” Something is very wrong with Alice Cooper's profession of faith. When asked how he came to the Christian faith, he talks about growing up in church and being infatuated by The Beatles. That's it! Alice doesn't mention the new birth. There's no mention of the Gospel. I've listened to Alice's religious lyrics in some of his songs, like Salvation. What a laughing joke! The lyrics are so vague that it doesn't say anything. All Alice keeps repeating in his song, Salvation, are the retarded phrases: “Any chance of salvation? Any chance for me?”
The Evidence of Salvation is the Presence of the Holy SpiritI hear so many errant preachers telling people that God won't save them unless they are willing to stop living in deliberate sin. False converts like Alice Cooper anger preachers (understandably), which compels many who are ignorant of the Scriptures to alter God's plan of salvation, in an attempt to force people to live right or go to Hell. That is simply not true. You cannot force anyone to live right. The fact of the matter is that the world's churches are filled with people who are trying to live right, but they are not saved, because they are “going about to establish their own righteousness” and “have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth” (Romans 10:3-4).
We don't live right to get saved; but rather, we live right because we are saved. This is called “discipleship.” It is abundantly clear that Alice Cooper is not a disciple of Christ. No one actively involved in the Satanic music industry is following Jesus Christ. NO ONE!!! Whether Alice is a born-again Christian is a separate matter entirely, but as I've showed you, it is clear that he is not saved either. So Alice is neither saved nor is he a follower of Christ. Judas was a follower of Christ, but he was not saved. Jesus said in John 6:70 that Judas had a devil. Alice Cooper sure seems like he has a devil. It's certainly not the Holy Spirit working through his demonic music and concerts, compelling thousands of fans to flash Satanic hand-signs.
Many of the chief Jewish rulers in John 12:42-43 were saved, but they were not followers of Christ. Always keep salvation separate from discipleship, because they are not the same. You can be saved by believing the Gospel, but not be an obedient disciple (Romans 12:1-2). And you can follow Christ, thinking that you are saved, but end up burning in Hell like the false prophets in Matthew 7:21-23. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Jesus said in John 3:3 that a man MUST be born again in order to enter into the Kingdom of God. Have you been born-again?
I want you to understand that the evidence of being saved is not a desire to stop sinning, nor a desire to serve God. You can have these desires and yet not be saved at all. The Biblical evidence of salvation is THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” All of the evidences of being saved (1st John 5:13) that are taught in the Epistle of 1st John are BECAUSE of the indwelling Holy Spirit. It is so important that you understand that.
You know if God's Spirit lives in you! I sure know it! The day I was saved at age 13, it was like a spiritual switch being flicked on in my life. Prior to that, all I remember is darkness, no awareness of God's Spirit at all in my life. But since that beautiful Sunday morning when I believed on the name of Jesus as my Savior, I have felt the presence (awareness) of God's Holy Spirit in my life. I can feel the Spirit's presence in my soul.
Thus, it is backwards and false doctrine to require anyone to forsake their sins to be saved. Instead, the changed life that a Christian should exemplify is directly the result of the Spirit of Christ living through us. Galatians 2:20-21, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” The false teaching of Lordship Salvation, or the heretical teaching of repentance as “a change of lifestyle” in order to be saved, greatly frustrates the grace of God. The truth is that we are saved simply by freely taking the gift of eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus, and then it is the indwelling Holy Spirit that produce the fruit of the Spirit in our life. So if we don't see fruit in others, it is logical for us to suspect that perhaps they are not saved (which is what James 2:18-23 means).
Albeit, since only God can see a person's heart, only God truly knows if a person is truly saved or not. The only way we can know is by hearing the direct testimony from their mouth (or writings). After listening to Alice Cooper, there is no doubt in my mind that he is not saved, because his faith is not in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Instead, Alice views Christianity as an ongoing process of bettering one's life, learning Biblical knowledge and following Christ. None of those are the Gospel. END
