A False Balance

Did you know that nothing ever
occurs to God? God never takes His eyes off of us. The word “pondereth” in
Proverbs 24:12 comes from the Hebrew word takan, meaning “to
balance.” The concept of balance is mentioned a lot in the Bible, which is
the basis of any legitimate system of justice (an eye for an eye, and a
tooth for a tooth). Proverb 11:1, “A false balance is abomination to the
LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”
Homosexuals attempt to say that an “abomination” is not a sin, and so whenever God calls sodomy an abomination (such as Leviticus 20:13), they claim it was merely a cultural law (such as the prohibition to eat lobster). The prohibition against eating lobster was a ceremonial law (which applied only to the Old Testament Jews); whereas the prohibition against homosexuality was (and still is) a moral law (Romans 1:24-32).
However, such false prophets pervert the truth and corrupt the Scriptures to support their evil agenda. Leviticus 20:13 required capital punishment for such abominations. Leave it to homosexual theologians to say that an abomination which required one's death was not a sin. Clearly, the word abomination was also a sin. The word means “sin coupled with disgust.” The word abomination expresses God's contempt, His adverse feelings, toward certain horrible sins. God does have feelings. God cares (1st Peter 5:7). God grieves (Ephesians 4:30). God loves (John 3:16). God gets angry (Psalm 7:11). God desires for all men to repent (2nd Peter 3:9). God hates a false balance where the scale is tilted.
