Burning Lips From An Ungodly Heart
By David J. Stewart | August 2015 | Updated January 2016
Proverbs 16:26-27, “He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him. An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.”
It is a wicked thing to dig up past sins, mistakes and dirt about other people and gossip, spread and publish it on the internet. And may I say, it is sinful to believe what you hear, without proof. I like the saying: “Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.” People have the sinful tendency judge a matter too quickly, without knowing all the details (the whole story).
And by the way, most matters are none of our business and we ought not even form an opinion in the matter. I have no opinion in matters that do not involve me, such as a neighbouring married couple fighting; not that I don't care; but rather, because I do care and don't want to be an accuser like Satan (Revelation 12:10). If I hear fighting and see something disturbing, I'm going to mind my own business. I'm going to mind my own business!!! And you're a meddling fool if you interfere. There's nothing worse than a neighbour who likes to call the police every time they hear someone yelling. Only God knows how many divorces have been caused by well-meaning marriage meddlers. I can hear all the hypocritical critics right now saying, “Well, what if ___?” and “What about ____?” Oh, shut up!!!
The internet is a powerful tool, which can become a deadly weapon very easily in the wrong hands. I'm using it for the Lord, to do good. Exposing satanism, fraud, lies and wickedness is a good thing! We are living in insane times today in 2016. Literally, many people have been murdered because of the internet. Numerous predatory killers have been caught, who used Craigslist, Facebook, Twitter, or some other social media to find their victims. My friend, you need to get your nose out of Facebook and into HIS BOOK! Amen!!! Teens have commit suicide because of harassment and identity fraud by malicious thugs via the internet. People can be so cruel. The internet is not a respectable, friendly, nor safe place for anyone. It is a jungle!
“Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who YOU are!” —Dr. Bob Gray, Sr.
Parents, you need to protect your children on the internet. Definitely use content filters. They can be frustrating at times, but are necessary. If you don't, curiosity will lure your child to places you wouldn't want them to go. Furthermore, many websites that appear good on the surface have dark content not too far underneath. A prime example is YouTube, which contains hardcore smut and filth. You can go from a sermon to the most ungodly trash simply by walking away to make dinner for an hour. As the progressive videos keep playing, it can get really bad quickly.
I've noticed that YouTube defaults toward absolute Satanism, filth, smut and the bizarre if you let them control the content (by automatically playing more videos that you didn't choose to view). And the wicked people behind all this junk place the burden upon the user, requiring the user to login and disable all that garbage. It ought to be the other way around. You shouldn't be forced to disable indecent, offensive and lewd content because they're shoving it down your throat. The truth is that they intentionally want to corrupt society, always pushing the moral boundaries, and it's utterly evil. God will hold each and every person involved with that kind of manipulative wickedness accountable on Judgment—you can count on it (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Revelation 20:12-15; Matthew 12:23; Proverbs 24:12).
It is evil to publicize a person's private life, destroying their name and maligning them. A Bible-preacher, and every Christian who is right with God, ought to expose and rebuke all manner of public evil; such as the abortion industry, Planned Parenthood, Rock music, same-sex perversion, booze, cigarettes, smut and lewdness, indecency and all manner of wickedness. This includes the new evils of Social Media. God wants us as believers to hate evil. God wants us to rise up against the evildoers, and to stand against the workers of iniquity (such as the abortion industry, the booze cartel, the CIA's fraud of ISIS, the treasonous Federal Reserve banking system, U.S. President Obama's hundreds of lies in office (literally), the same-sex agenda, et cetera). We need to expose all that wickedness! That's what God wants us to do (Psalms 94:16). However, this does not mean condemning people for past mistakes to destroy them. Evil men triumph when good men do nothing! Thomas Jefferson said that, and he's right!
What God doesn't want us to do is to condemn others when they sin. For example: As a Christian I preach against the music of Van Halen. Although they were a popular heavy-metal Rock band of the 1970's and 1980's (now a bunch of old losers), they are still popular today. There song “Jump” is heard on the radio all across America daily. I preach against their lewd, filthy, satanic and repulsive music (or noise, depending on how you perceive it). Van Halen is of the Devil. They even have a hit song called “Running With The Devil.” Lead singer of Van Halen's early years, David Lee Roth was featured in the New York Post, said to have invented the backstage drive-thru of fornication. He was reputed for having sex with females from the audience backstage after their concerts.
I am not judging Mr. Roth, for I am a sinner just like he is. I would like to see him come to Jesus Christ and get saved, but Christ said that rich people rarely ever come to Him for salvation, because they are proud, blinded by their wealth and love for sin. Whatever Roth does in his personal life is none of my business, but when someone openly commits wickedness, who is a mentor to millions of worldly youth, then some faithful Christians needs to cry wolf and SHOUT AT THE DEVIL! (no pun intended, that's the name of a popular Rock song). Hell awaits these wicked men in Van Halen, unless they get born-again and have their sins washed away by Jesus' precious blood. That is anyone's only hope!
“We live in days, and they're sad days, because of the evil. It doesn't bother people to spread a rumor that's not true. It doesn't bother people to be vengeance, vindictive and hateful. ... I don't want to hurt people, I want to help people. I don't want to hate people, I want to love people.” —Pastor Jeff Owens, from the life-changing MP3 sermon, “God A Very Present Help.”
Psalms 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
So, yes, we should expose evil and speak out against all manner of lies, like Evolution and the bogus official 9/11 report. We've got a bunch of criminals destroying our country from the top down, and they need to be arrested, fairly tried, and sent to prison for consecutive life-sentences, or executed publicly. Thankfully, God will judge them, each and every one. They will be held fully accountable for every deed, whether it be good or evil (Ecclesiastes 12:14). Their Hell will be hot enough, for ever!
No, we ought not gossip about private matters, and past sins that we dug-up under a rock. That is evil. Love covers all sins the Bible says in Proverbs. We should be quick to forgive those who repent, and love them in the spirit of meekness back to spiritual health. We live in a throw-away society in America. When people are sent to prison with felony charges, they cannot get a job when released. How is that justice? If someone pays the price for their crime, they ought to have no criminal record of any sort, because they've already paid for what they did. God forgets when He forgives. Psalms 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Hebrews 8:12, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Only wicked man remembers each other's past failures, sins and shortcomings. We are a merciless and hateful species, with desperately wicked and self-deceiving hearts (Jeremiah 17:9). Jesus Christ is our only hope of redemption. Only God's unconditional love flowing through a believer can truly make an eternal difference.
The Bible in our text verse speaks of BURNING LIPS. Gossip will burn-down somebody's life faster than a raging out-of-control fire can devour a forest. Gossip is deadly, on the same plane as murder. If you destroy your neighbour with your mouth (Proverbs 11:2), God will punish you by the very measure that you dealt to your neighbour (Matthew 7:1-2). I choose to love and forgive everyone, that I may receive the same on judgment day from God. What others meant for evil, God meant for good (Genesis 50:20). Forgiveness is letting everything go into God's hands for judgment. This doesn't mean that you have to trust someone, or like them, but you had better love them in your heart, as someone whom Christ was willing to die for on the cross, and pray for them. A good rule to follow is if you don't have anything good to say about someone else, is don't say anything at all. END
love God who doesn't love sinners!”
(a quote by Dr. Jack Hyles classic MP3 sermon, “The Happiest Man” (happiest is the man who will not impute sin to others!)
