I was surprised today while listening to a sermon by
Pastor Steven Anderson
(website).
There is an ungodly book (published in 2015) titled, “BORN
THAT WAY AFTER ALL,” authored by Dr. David J. Nixon and R. G. Hamm. They
also have a website at BornThatWay.org.
The book is unscriptural and promotes a wicked philosophy of
tolerance for sin. What surprised me is that the website lists
Dr. Bob Gray
Sr. and Pastor Jeff Owens, as being supporters of the
book and ministry. The book is an ungodly perversion of the Scriptures!!!
I am trying to understand why Dr. Gray and Pastor Owens would approve of
something evil like this. Both of these good men have counseled tens of thousands
of people combined throughout their church ministries. So I tread lightly
and don't want to criticize them in my article, this is not my intent.
However, I will voice my opinion of this ungodly book “BORN THAT WAY AFTER
ALL” and their ungodly “BORNTHATWAY.ORG” website. The book is clearly a sinful attempt to bridge
the gap between the ungodly homosexual community and the New Testament
Church. Dr. David Nixon and his co-author are trying to straddle-the-fence
on the issue of homosexuality. As far as I'm concerned, they are pulling on
the same rope as the Devil.
David J. Nixon and R. G. Hamm base their strange doctrine on
Matthew 19:12,
“For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb:
and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be
eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's
sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” Being a eunuch
from a mother's womb simply means, for one reason or another, that a man is
born impotent. The Greek word for “eunuch” in Matthew 19:12 is eunouchos,
meaning, “a castrated person (such being employed in Oriental bed chambers);
by extension an impotent or unmarried man; by implication a chamberlain
(state officer).” Here's some helpful Bible commentary on the topic, “EUNUCH.”
The Bible mentions eunuchs, who are born “THAT
WAY” from the womb, which is equivalent to castration. This is not
homosexual lust! A eunuch “FROM THE WOMB” cannot procreate, that is, cannot have children. A
homosexual can procreate (with a woman if they so choose). Obviously, homosexuals do not come “FROM THE
WOMB”! And as I will evidence to you later, many people who profess to be
“heterosexual” admit to committing homosexual acts at times. This tosses a
monkey-wrench into David Nixon's retarded hypothesis!
Homosexuality is a sin, and Christians won't be able to help sodomites
unless they address the issue as such. God only saves THE UNGODLY (Romans
4:5-6). It is evil to tell homosexuals that there's really no problem,
because God made them “THAT WAY AFTER ALL,” intending for them to become celibate as eunuchs for God. That doesn't solve the problem, which is,
HOMOSEXUALS ARE SINNERS in need of the new birth. Unless a homosexual is
willing to confess to God, “I AM A SINNER,” they cannot be saved. You've
got to admit that you are a sinner to believe the Gospel. You need to know
what you're being saved from!
On their “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL” website,
they say...

battle field, they are the mission field. They are not the enemy, they are
the mission itself. We are in a spiritual battle, but if you view them as
the enemy, you are fighting the wrong war (Ephesians 6:12). Our book “Born

Although I agree that the gay community is a
mission field, from a soul-winning
perspective; I totally disagree when such
reasoning is used to silence Christians about the evils of homosexuality
which is targeting, recruiting and hurting America's children.
Hugh Hefner's perverted Playboy business could be called “a mission
field” too. We could say that the dirty magazine business is not the enemy
as well. But does that mean preachers and Christians should be silent about
such evils? Of course not. Now, more than ever, pastors and Christians need
to expose the evils of homosexuality in our society. Silence is not golden,
it is yellow cowardice. The false idea that exposing homosexuality as a
filthy sin will hinder reaching the gay community for Christ is a big lie!
Homosexuality Is A Filthy Deathstyle (homosexuals account for
75% of all Syphilis cases!). Placing an adopted child into the
hands of two homosexual parents (perverts) ought to be considered criminal
child abuse! But our nation's ungodly courts disregard God's Word. Americans
can legally commit adultery, film themselves in bed having sex and upload it
to the internet, get drunk, murder their children by abortion, homosexuals
can marry and children are forced into their care by adoption, et cetera. In
eternity, God will hold people accountable for even their words (Matthew
12:36).
The insane notion that believers will never
convert homosexuals to Christianity by calling them “perverts” is totally
untrue. When the rich man in Hell begged Abraham to send Lazarus from the
dead to warn his five brothers, “lest they also come into this place of
torment” (Luke 16:28). Abraham plainly said that if people won't listen
to the Word of God, THEY WON'T GET SAVED, even if they see miracles and
supernatural signs. “Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the
prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one
went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If
they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though
one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:29-32).
The ungodly
book effectively attempts to silence Christians to the evils of
homosexuality, portraying sodomites as a needy group who ought to be
ministered to (informed that God really made them to be eunuchs) and
otherwise left alone. So while naive preachers are spending the rest of
their life reaching out to gays with the Gospel, America's children are
being homosexualized. If churches must become worldly to attract the
homosexual community, then they're coming to apostate religion, not Jesus
Christ.
Although I disagree with Pastor Steve
Anderson's lack of love for the homosexual community, I must say that
Brother Anderson COMES MUCH CLOSER TO BEING RIGHT than today's compromised
preachers who hobnob with gays and won't preach against them!!!
HOMOSEXUALITY IS EVIL. You're NEVER going to win sodomites to Christ by
tolerating their sins. A fundamentalist preacher ought to be a balance of
grace and truth, of strength and beauty! Jude 1:22, “And of some have
compassion, making a difference.” John 7:7, “The world cannot hate you; but
me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” The Word of God condemns the sinful world. That's why gays reject the King
James Bible, changing it into a lie (Romans 1:25). All of the modern
PERversions of the Bible completely remove the word “sodomite.” The
unscriptural website “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL” says they “do not necessarily
endorse the term... 'homosexual' for several Biblical reasons.”

The Big Problem in America Today is
Tolerance, Not Intolerance
Pastor Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) said the following very true
words in 1942:

We tolerate most anything. There was a time when women who had bad names
were put out of society, but that isn't true today. We talk about the

Many people have ceased to believe in Hell. That is because they don't

Dr. Bob Jones Sr. is 100% correct! Our problem
today in our churches is tolerance!!! Trying to convince homosexuals that
their sodomite feelings are acceptable, because God MADE THEM THAT WAY AFTER

JUST LIKE YOU AND ME, AND EVERYONE ELSE!!! They need to get saved, but you

dare talk about evangelizing homosexuals without telling them that THEY ARE
SINNERS. 1st John 1:10, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a
liar, and his word is not in us.”
Dr. Bob Jones Sr. wrote the preceding comments
about the problem of tolerance for sin, back in 1942, before Americans owned
televisions. In 1946 only 6,000 American households had a television. Only wealthy people could afford them! Albeit, by the year
1952 Americans owned 22,000,000 TV sets! Dr. Jones saw way back then in 1942
that “sin doesn't look as
black as it used to look.” Today
in 2017, we are surrounded by all manner of filth and wickedness, and people
have grown totally accustomed to it. What homosexuals need is to be told
that they are ungodly sinners in need of the new birth in Christ Jesus.
Tolerating their filthy deathstyle won't help them, it will CURSE THEM!!! If
a man won't come to Christ as a guilty sinner, receiving the gift of eternal
life from a loving holy God, then He cannot be saved any other way.
Biblically, there is no middle ground, there
can be no compromise. The homosexual community even criticizes the book, at
TheGaVoice.com website. They criticize the book because they want to be
accepted as they are, that is, proud homosexuals. This is all really
strange. We've got fundamental Baptist pastors meeting the ungodly
homosexual community halfway. The truth is that there will NEVER be true
harmony between Bible-believing Christians and ungodly homosexuals.

upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.”
The basic premise of the “BORN THAT WAY AFTER
ALL” book and website is
that some people are created by God with no desire for the
opposite sex. Therefore, they say, Christian parents and leaders ought to
counsel professed homosexuals (whether they be children or church members)
to accept their homosexual feelings, as a sign from God that they were
created to be eunuchs. This is as silly as it is unbiblical. Think about
what they are claiming. It is absurd. If a person is made by God to be a
“eunuch,” then why would they want to have sex at all? Why would God give
them homosexual desires? Obviously, homosexuals are not eunuchs!!! This
stuff is so evil. I'm really surprised that any independent fundamental
Baptist preacher would support this garbage!!! Look at the
long list of
churches, names and ministries who support this filth!!!
On the Roman Catholic Eternal Word
Television Network (EWTN), a few years ago, I saw Priest John Corapi
teach that if a person thinks they are a homosexual, God is calling them to
a life of celibacy. Although I don't want to speak for Dr. Gray and Pastor
Jeff Owens, I think this is the idea that they are supporting. However, that
is not what the book and website are claiming... they are claiming that God
makes some people homosexuals, as a sign that He is calling them to be a
eunuch. They claim that homosexuals are “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL.” There are
numerous problems with this errant claim.
Mainly that God is a holy God Who
doesn't tempt men to sin, nor does he create adulterers or homosexuals. God
does create the natural desire for sex, and create the natural bodily
ability to fulfil that desire in a sacred marriage; but God does not make
men abuse that gift and ability, so that unholy men can rape, commit
adultery and homosexuality, violating His Word. God does not create
homosexual lust!!! To say that God makes homosexuals is akin to saying that
God makes obese people. If you are 700 pounds, did God make you that way?
No, unless you have a serious health problem, you did that to yourself!
Homosexuality is ABUSE... Romans 1:24, “Wherefore God also gave them up
to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own
bodies between themselves.”
Sexual desire is not a sin. “Lust” is the Bible
word for sinful desire. It is not a sin to sexually desire one's own wife or
husband. The Bible condemns lusting upon someone who is married to another
person. That is adultery. Matthew 5:28, “But I say unto you, That
whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with
her already in his heart.” The Bible also condemns sexually lusting upon
the same sex...
Romans 1:25-28a, “Who
changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served
the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this
cause God gave them up unto vile affections:
for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against
nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that
recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a
reprobate mind...”
The Word of God calls homosexual lusts “vile
affections” and a “reprobate mind”! Notice the first thing that Romans 1:25
says... WHO CHANGED THE TRUTH OF GOD INTO A LIE!!! That is exactly what the
homosexual community has done, corrupting the truth into a lie. That is
exactly what the book “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL” and the website
“BORNTHATWAY.ORG” have done, changing the truth of God into A LIE!!! It is a
big lie that God creates anyone with homosexual lusts. Our text verse says
in James 1:13, “Let no
man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of
God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he
any man.” God NEVER created anybody with homosexual lusts. God
cannot be tempted, nor does He tempt anyone. God didn't create the sin
nature! God created Adam upright, but Satan seduced Eve to sin, and she did,
and so did Adam in full knowledge of what he was doing against God. If God
created homosexuals “THAT WAY,” then He would be violating James 1:13.
God in His omniscient wisdom and omnipotent
power, designed and created the wondrous human body. Sexual desire is a
creation and gift of God. Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own
image, in the image of God created he him; male and female
created he them.” Sin is taking that which God created to be
used for good, and using it for bad instead. Sex is a good thing, but only
within the proper boundaries of a marriage commitment. Hebrews 13:4,
“Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and
adulterers God will judge.” God honors heterosexual marriage! That's a
man and a woman. All else is sexual perversion!!! Unbridled lust is sin.
Unstrained or uncontrolled lust is a sin.
God Created Sexual Desire, But Not the
Sin Nature
God doesn't make sinners! Ecclesiastes 7:29,
“Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have
sought out many inventions.” The errant notion that God creates someone
with homosexual desires is wicked!!! NO, THEY WEREN'T BORN “THAT WAY”!!! A
person sins when they are drawn away by their own lust...
James 1:13-15, “Let no man say when he is
tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither
tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is
drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath
conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth
forth death.”
Homosexual lust is in the same category as
adulterous lust, pedophile lust, pederast lust, bestiality lust and all
sexual perversion!!! Without the guiding moral compass of the King James
Bible, anybody is capable of committing anything!!! Contrary to some of the
preaching that I've heard, animals DO commit homosexual acts. They are
behaving on impulse. I have seen two female dogs try to mate. They are doing
what feels natural, and without the presence of a male dog, while in heat,
they will attempt to mate. They are acting LIKE ANIMALS. Literally,
homosexuals are behaving like animals!!!
God doesn't create humans to eat themselves to
death. There are more overweight obese people living in America than any
other country. We are an undisciplined society. Americans are reckless in
everything. People are in big debt from their uncontrolled credit card
spending. Americans are obese from eating without restraint, abusing the
bodily appetites. Americans are sexually depraved, lacking moral restraint
concerning the fleshly appetites. This is why the U.S. abortion industry has
thrived since 1973, the year abortion was legalized in all 50 states.
Americans don't have the character, morality or decency to raise the
children that they conceived while committing immorality. We are an out of
control culture of death, decadence and debauchery.
How dare anyone blame God, attributing the
homosexual deathstyle to Him. Jeremiah 7:8-10, “Behold, ye trust in lying
words, that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and
swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye
know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my
name, and say, We are delivered to do all these
abominations?” Literally, God says, “Will you commit all
manner of wickedness, and dare come into my house, and blame me?” How dare
any pastor attribute homosexuality to God!!! Just because God gave us hands,
doesn't mean we were made “THAT WAY” to steal. Just because God gave us
eyes, doesn't mean we were made “THAT WAY” to lust. And just because God
gave us sexual desire, doesn't mean we were made “THAT WAY” to behave like
animals.
Notice that the Scriptures says GOD ALSO GAVE
THEM UP TO UNCLEANLINESS THROUGH THE LUSTS OF THEIR OWN HEARTS. Romans 1:24, “Wherefore God also gave them up
to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own
bodies between themselves.” We read in Romans 1:28b, “God
gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are
not convenient.” What Dr. David Nixon calls “BORN THAT WAY,” God calls
“A REPROBATE MIND.” There's a delicate, but definite, balance between loving
the sinner and hating the sin which must be maintained, lest we dishonor
God. The nearly unanimous trend today is to accept the sinner, while saying
nothing about the sin, which is not love at all.

The worst and cruelest thing you can do to a
homosexual is explain away their sin, convincing them that God made them

So how do the “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL”
ministry explain people who consider themselves heterosexuals, who have had
homosexual sex? Were they “BORN THAT WAY” too? Clearly, this is a matter of
lust and sin, and not being born a certain way.
In rare cases, some people are naturally born
without fully formed male or female genitals. No one is 100% hermaphroditic
(i.e., having both complete male and female genitals). They are impotent
from birth. The Scriptures teach that God creates the human body. Psalms
139:14, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” God makes
some people dumb (lacking power of human speech), deaf and blind. Exodus
4:11, “And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh
the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I
the LORD?” What a beautiful truth! There is nothing shameful
about a person who is born a eunuch, or blind, or deaf or speechless.
Romans 9:20, “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall
the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou
made me thus?” Glorify God for who He made you!!!
Homosexuals Were Not Born “Eunuchs”
Matthew 19:12,

well explains Matthew 19:10-12...
5. (Matthew 19:10-12) The
disciples ask about marriage and celibacy.
His disciples said to Him, "If such is the case of the man with his wife, it
is better not to marry." But He said to them, "All cannot accept this
saying, but only those to whom it has been given: "For there are eunuchs who
were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made
eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for
the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept
it."
a. If such is the case … it
is better not to marry: The disciples understood Jesus' teaching on marriage
and divorce clearly. They understood that it was not a commitment to be
entered into quickly or lightly, and considered that since marriage is so
binding before God, then maybe it is better not to marry.
i. "It is not evil to
marry, but good to be wary; to look ere one leap." (Trapp)
b. All cannot accept this
saying, but only those to whom it has been given: Jesus recognized that
celibacy is good for some, for the one who is able to accept it (such as
Jesus Himself and the Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 7:7-9).
i. "If there be any who can
receive this saying, who can without marriage bridle his list, and so live
in a solute and single state as not to sin against God by any extravagancy
of lusts, and impure desires and affections, and desire, and shall do so,
that he may be more spiritual, and serve God with less distraction, and be a
more fit instrument to promote the kingdom of God in the world, let him do
it." (Poole)
ii. "But this is not every man's happiness; and where it is, the pride of
virginity is no less foul a sin than impurity, saith Augustine." (Trapp)
c. For there are eunuchs
who were born thus: The term eunuch was used figuratively for those who
voluntarily abstain for marriage. Jesus here gave three kinds of eunuchs.
- Those who are born without the capacity for sex and marriage.
- Those who are made by others without the capacity for sex and marriage.
- Those who are choose to live without sex and marriage for the kingdom of
heaven's sake.
i. Paul said that the one
who is unmarried because of calling should be holy both in body and in
spirit (1 Corinthians 7:34). Therefore these eunuchs for the kingdom of
heaven's sake should come to peace with their celibacy both physically and
spiritually; it should not be a consistent torment to them in either aspect.

homosexuality. Being born without the capacity to have sex is not

promote their sermons and ministries, because my heart's desire is to help
others in the Lord. I don't throw people away because I disagree with them
on something. I don't stop promoting someone because they don't agree with
me. My faithful web visitors know that I often promote and expose someone at
the same time. Most preachers won't do that. Dr. Hyles invited Dr. R. G. Lee
to preach at Pastor's School in Hammond, knowing that Dr. lee was in the
compromised Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Hyles didn't demand that
someone agree with him 100% on everything, to be his friend. I like that!
There's not one man that I promote whom I agree with on everything. I want
to help others. If I find something that helps me, I want to share it with
you also, to help you too. YOU are my Epistle. YOU are the book that I am
writing. 2nd Corinthians 3:2, “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts,
known and read of all men.” YOU are my treasure!
Having said that, I love the preaching and
teaching of Dr. Bob Gray Sr. and Dr. Jeff Owens. Albeit, I do not agree with
them in their support of the “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL” book and
“BORNTHATWAY.ORG” website,
where they are
listed. I am 100% in agreement with Pastor Steven Anderson on this
issue, because I believe Brother Anderson's position is 100% Biblical.
Romans 1:24-32 plainly condemns the homosexual deathstyle!!! No one is born
with a Sodomite tendency. Homosexuality is abnormal, against nature. We are
all born with a sin-nature. If the sin-nature is allowed to flourish,
uncontrolled and unbridled by moral restraint, anything evil is possible.
America was doomed the day in 1963 that the King James Bible was removed
from our nation's classrooms.
All human beings are born with a sin-nature.
Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death
by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” We
are ALL sinners by nature and by choice. A child doesn't have to be taught
to steal. They have to be taught to be honest. Children must be trained and
taught the Word of God. And yet, even having grown up in the best home, with
the most faithful Christian parents, enrolled in a great Christian school,
attending a strong Bible-believing church—They may still ruin their lives
and choose to go into a reckless deathstyle of sin. Having good Christian
parents does not guarantee godly children. Certainly, training up a child in
the admonition and nurture of the Lord stacks everything in their favor when
they become adults, but they are still sinners by nature and by choice. What
a proper upbringing DOES give a child is a strong FOUNDATION for the rest of
their life. So if the house of their life burns down one day, it can be
rebuilt!!! Amen!
No one is “BORN THAT WAY AFTER ALL.” I am not
trying to be mean or unkind to anyone. If you are not saved, you'll never
get the victory over sin. Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which
I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me,
and gave himself for me.” If you have homosexual desires as a believer,
then there is a Bible verse for you. 2nd Corinthians 10:5, “Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience
of Christ.”
