Galatians 2:4, “And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.”
One of the easiest ways to understand ecumenism and new-evangelicalism is to
grasp the Biblical truth in 2nd Timothy 2:1-4 that we are engaged in a
restless spiritual war as Christians. Ephesians 6:10-12, “Finally, my
brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.”
This is the basis of my article, that is, we are at war!!!
Like it or not, whether you are a born-again Christian or not, we are all involved in a spiritual war in this wicked world. It's just a matter of whose side you are on. General Joshua in the Old Testament chose the Lord's side, and so have I, and I hope and pray you have also. Joshua 24:15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Even if the whole world becomes deceived by the Devil, I am still going to serve God!!! That ought to be every Christian's attitude.

Satan Causes Deliberate Confusion In The Churches
When a nation goes to war, it's soldiers fight on its behalf. Although that nation's citizens don't actually fight in war, they are still involved in the war because it is their nation waging war against another nation. Likewise, not every Christian believer is called by God to be a pastor, preacher, evangelist or missionary. Yet, every believer is still commanded to be a soul-winner. Every believer is commanded to obey God. Every believer is still involved in a spiritual war between good and evil, truth and lies, God and Satan. It is abundantly clear in the United States today that we are a house divided. nearly everyone is confused. Tragically, Satan has published literally hundreds of English Bible versions, to confuse the churches, and it has been very effective.
Acts 19:32, “Some
therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused;
and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.”
Our churches are woefully divided today over the plan of salvation, divided
over the meaning of repentance, divided over which Bible version is really
God's Word, et cetera. How can Christians stand anymore, when they don't even
know what to stand for??? What ugly

Have you ever felt that way in a dead New-Evangelical church? I sure have. I
used to go home and turn on some real Bible-preaching, after being totally
disgusted by the wishy-washy, ear-ticklin', back-scratchin', pussyfootin',
compromising', pantywaist, sermonettes from church. I'm talking about an
Independent Baptist Church that lost their FUNDAMENTALISM somewhere along the
way many years ago. Now they're having too much FUN and not enough DA
MENTAL!!!
We Are At Continual Spiritual War With The Flesh, World And Power Of Satan
You may not be a Christian leader, missionary or evangelist, but you are still in the war, and you ought to do your part to help out. During World War II, many citizens laboured in factories assembling tanks, guns and ammunition for the soldiers. Fundamental churches need your help. God's men need your help. If nothing else, you can show your support for preaching preachers!!! The sad thing today is that most people support the wrong causes. Instead of supporting a local, soul-winning, King James Bible only, Gospel-preaching, New Testament church, most people support heretics like Ken Ham's Answers-In-Genesis, or Billy Graham's apostate Christianity Today, or some apostate New-Evangelical church, et cetera. Most religious efforts these days are a total waste of time, money and resources!!! Churches that use and support the modern corrupt Bible versions are wasting their time. Sadly, they're pulling on the same rope as the Devil.
I have collected thousands of books over the decades. I've been given many away because I simply don't have room for them anymore. Amongst my collection, I found a little U.S. battlefield handbook from World War I, which each soldier carried. I was immediately reminded that the Holy Bible is the believer's battlefield handbook, instructing us how to survive on the battlefield. The problem with many believers today is that they have a wrong attitude toward the Christian life, viewing it as a means to health, wealth and prosperity instead of a war between the forces of Satan and God almighty! Churches are often viewed as fun centers and social clubs, instead of hospitals for wounded sinners and spiritual ammunition depots! WE ARE AT WAR!!!
During every major
war, a common warfare tactic is to send out spies to infiltrate the enemy's
camp and acquire information, sabotage the enemy's equipment and assassinate
key leaders. Do you think Satan is any different, the father of all liars and
murderers (John 8:44)? Satan invented gorilla warfare!!! Guerrilla warfare is
a form of irregular warfare in which a small group of combatants such as
paramilitary personnel, armed civilians, or irregulars use military tactics
including ambushes, sabotage, raids, petty warfare, hit-and-run tactics, and
mobility to fight a larger and less-mobile traditional military.[1]
Satan and his demons do the same thing, using wicked men and women to do the
Devil's bidding. Remember, Ephesians 6:10-12 teaches that our battle is not
against FLESH, but against the POWER of darkness, Satan and his kingdom of
followers.
Churches That Have Been Brought Into Bondage
Satan attacks preachers of righteousness, attacking their character and integrity, attempting to assassinate their name and ministry. The Devil even goes after preacher's children and wives, trying to use their sins and faults to destroy the preacher. Preachers are the lieutenants, generals and commanders on the spiritual battlefield. The Devil sabotages ministries, relentlessly trying to destroy the church's reputation, to hinder the work of God. These are the ugly things that happen in war! This is what the enemy does! Satan uses his allies in the wicked newsmedia, with their hit-and-run tactics, to sabotage Christian fundamentalist preachers, and Bible-believing, soul-winning, sin-hating, people-loving, Gospel-preaching, Holy Spirit filled, New Testament local churches.
Satan
infiltrates the churches anyway he can, which is a common warfare tactic.
During the Cold War, both Russia and the United States sent out several
hundred of spies. Even today in 2015, the U.S. earlier this year exported a
bunch of alleged Russian spies.[2]
The Word of God plainly teaches that the Devil sends his SPIES into the
churches. Galatians 2:4, “And that because of false brethren unawares
brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which
we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.”
WE ARE AT WAR!!! Satan desires to bring us as Christians into BONDAGE. The
word “bondage” in Galatians 2:4 is the Greek word katadouloo and means
“to enslave utterly.”
Do you understand what this Scripture is teaching? The day we were saved (I trust you're a born-again Christian if you're reading this), we were freed from the bondage of sin, Satan and the Law of God that condemns all mankind as guilty sinners (Romans 3:19-20). John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
Yet, so many churches today are becoming ENSLAVED to a false plan of salvation, commonly known as “Lordship Salvation.” Jesus Christ died on the cross, sacrificing His body and His blood to pay for OUR SINS, and rising up bodily three days later from the dead as our heavenly intercessor High Priest (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:15-16). Christ died on the cross to set us free from sin's eternal penalty in the Lake of Fire. Yet, multitudes are forfeiting the free gift of eternal life, by substituting “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2nd Corinthians 11:3), with a satanic grace plus works plan of damnation!!!
So many churches today are becoming ENSLAVED by the Devil through counterfeit Bible versions. The American Bible Society says that there are at least 900 English Bible versions.[2] The Devil is laughing at the churches today who use a dozen Bible versions.
2nd Timothy 2:1-4, “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
Ecumenism And New-Evangelism Are Deadly
Daniel 8:25, “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.”
The Antichrist, the Bible says, will destroy many BY PEACE!!! By peace? What does this mean? It simply means that a sure way to defeat your enemy is to give him a substitute for what he really needs.
Having laid the groundwork for my article, now I will explain “ECUMENISM” and “NEW-EVANGELICALISM,” which are destroying our churches today!!! There are differing opinion of what these terms mean, but they are both synonymous with sinful compromise. Ecumenism is commonly defined as: “A doctrine promoting cooperation and better understanding among different religious denominations, aimed at universal unity.” This is an unbiblical doctrine, a heresy. To the same degree that you are in agreement with a particular person or group, to that same degree contrawise you're going to refrain from opposing them on differing issues. This is our human nature. This makes ecumenism dangerous, because it gets us sidetracked from the reality that we are at spiritual war between good and evil, between truth and lies, between Satan and God.
Our text verse from Galatians 2:4 plainly evidences that Satan continually tries to infiltrate, corrupt and conquer the churches. Although the Devil can never defeat THE CHURCH, he is highly successful at destroying local churches, by sneaking into them and secretly bringing in DAMNABLE HERESY. 2nd Peter 2:1, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” As you just read, the Devil sneaks DAMNABLE HERESIES into the churches.
One third of clergy do not believe in the Resurrection
