heresy today concerning Israel. Pastor Lawson is a Zionist, believing
that present-day manmade Israel
is of God. Therefore, Dr. Lawson believes and teaches that to bless
present-day Israel brings the blessing of God, and to curse Israel brings
the curse of God. This is unbiblical teaching. Israel ceased to exist as a
nation in 586 BC when Babylon invaded and conquered the Jews. A remnant
returned 70 years later from Babylon and dwelt in their homeland until 70
AD, when Rome invaded and totally annihilated Jerusalem, destroying the
temple and making sure not one stone was left unturned. The children of
Israel were scattered throughout the world.
Hosea 3:4-5 teaches that ONLY when a remnant of Jews repent and turn to
the Lord will God restore true Israel.
A common misconception is that a Biblical “Jew” is someone containing some Jewish DNA. But biological composition is not what makes a person a true Jew. The Bible is very clear in Romans 2:28-29, “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Only born-again Christians are true Jews in God's sight.
We further read in Galatians 3:26-29, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” To be “baptized” into Christ literally means to be “immersed” into Christ. This does not refer to water baptism. There are many different meanings of baptism in the Holy Bible. We are immersed into Christ by faith, which is what the Bible means in Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Notice the beautiful promise from God in Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” The Bible teaches in Galatians 3:27-28 that THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK IN CHRIST JESUS. And look at Galatians 3:29, “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” If you are born-again, you are part of Abraham's seed, and all the promises God made to Israel applies to YOU! If you are a Christ-rejecting Jew, you are going to burn in Hell forever if you don't get saved! It is wicked to teach that God blesses Christ-rejecting, blaspheming, disobedient, Jews!
Pastor Charles Lawson says that Matthew 25:31-48 applies to the nation of Israel, the Jews. But notice that Jesus said this passage applies to how the nations treat “MY BRETHREN” in verse 40. Pastor Lawson, as do other Zionists, assume that “MY BRETHREN” refers to all Jews; but this is heresy! Jesus plainly tells us who “MY BRETHREN” are in Matthew 12:...
Matthew 12:46-50, “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
There you have it! The Bible has its own built-in dictionary. The Lord plainly said that “MY BRETHREN” are those who obey the will of God the Father. What is the will of God the Father? I'm glad you asked. Jesus tells us in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Less than 2.5% of the citizens living in Israel today profess Christianity. That includes all the psuedo-Christian (false Christian) religions as well; such as, Jehovah's witnesses, Mormons, Seventh-day Adventists, Roman Catholics, et cetera. I dare say that 1 in a 1,000 people living in Israel today are born-again Christians. Holy Land? I think not!
Only born-again believers in Jesus Christ are “MY BRETHREN”!!!
The Bible says that God will divide the nations, separating the “tares” (unsaved) from the “wheat” (saved). This Scripture passage does not refer to Israel. No one is guaranteed salvation just because they have some Jewish DNA. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!! (John 3:3). Notice in Matthew 25 that the wheat are those who are blessed of the Father, who will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world.
Matthew 25:31-34, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”
It must be kept in mind that salvation came originally to the Old Testament Jews (Romans 1:16). Thus, the Old Testament Jew symbolized the Christian. God laid out big plans for Israel, but those plans were both conditional (Exodus 19:5-6) and unconditional (Genesis 12:2). It is a sin to worship Israel instead of the God of Israel. The worship of Israel is the fruit of Zionism (Masonic Judaism). The worship of the God of Israel is the fruit of Christianity.
