Will You Be Cursed?
The Lord is Coming!
By David J. Stewart
1st Corinthians 16:22, “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.”
The Apostle Paul, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2nd Timothy 3:16), proclaims the ultimatum to either love Jesus Christ or be Anathema Maranatha. “Anathema” means cursed and “Maranatha” means the Lord is coming.
I think of this Scripture often, because most people don't love Jesus, and I weep for their souls. Most people love themselves...
2nd Timothy 3:1-5, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
This Scripture speaks of religious lost people. They have churchianity without Christianity. I meet so many people who are religious, devoted to their church; but they have no passion for the truth of salvation. What good is religion if it only leads to Hell? The Bible frequently warns us that works of self-righteousness cannot save anyone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”
Dear reader, if you are wise you will embrace the King James Bible as true. If there is no God, and you die and cease to exist with no conscience, then you've lost nothing. But if the Holy Bible is true, and you die in your sins because of unbelief, you'll be tormented day and night for ever and ever without rest or hope. That should scare the Hell into you!
“And
whosoever was not found written in the book of
life was cast
into the lake of fire.”

20:11
