Luke 16:24-25, “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”
There is no water in Hell! There is no ice-cold, refreshing,
thirst-quenching, icy water in Hell. Not a single drop!!! I LOVE WATER! I
always keep two big bottles of cold water in my refrigerator. It's really
cold! I keep my refrigerator set at the coldest setting. Whenever I am
refreshed by drinking plenty of delicious, refreshing, very cold water, I am
reminded of the suffering rich man burning in the fires of Hell, and I am
grateful to God for both the satisfying water and His wondrous gift of
eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. If for no other reason, I
wouldn't want to go to Hell just because there is no water there! Can you
imagine?
When I was in the hospital in September of 2015 to have my gallbladder removed, the surgeon had ordered in the days prior to surgery not to drink any water (not even ice cubes to quench my thirst). I was so thirsty! The nurses had me hooked up to IV fluids instead. My mouth was so dry. I remember thinking about how many cases of bottled pure water I was going to purchase at K-mart when I was discharged from the hospital. Let me tell you (and I'm sure you've been there a time or two yourself), it's no fun to be thirsty!!! I mean really thirsty! To be honest, I did sneak a few ice-cubes! I requested an ice-bag for my neck pain (my neck was agonizing in pain prior to surgery, because they took away my pain meds). So I opened the bag and ate a few ice-cubes! They were so refreshing! Please don't tell my surgeon!
I can't think of anything worse than the fires of Hell themselves, than to have an insatiable thirst for cold water, and be denied water 24/7 for the rest of eternity!!!!!!! HOW HORRIFYING!!! Friend, I DO mean to scare you horribly if you've never been saved, because today could be the last day of your life on earth. I don't care how traumatizing, miserable and hard your life may be on earth, or how horrible the afflictions you may have suffered through (I've had many myself), we've always been able to REST at some point. But there is NO REST in Hell. There is no rest DAY NOR NIGHT in Hell. Revelation14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Everyone who goes to Hell will never have any rest again, neither day nor night, forever and ever! And did I mention, there is no water in the Lake of Fire!!!
Cool, clear, water! Amen! Just from typing this article, I became thirsty. I just drank about one pint of ice-cold, precious, pure, thirsty-quenching, awesome, WATER!!! It's OK, I know I've made you thirsty, you can take a break and go drink some WATER! Seriously, the Bible is nothing to play games with my friend. I am being your friend, by telling you THE TRUTH! Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” God isn't messing around! The threat and reality of Hell is real.
Here is an excellent quote from the mighty man of God, Dr. Lee Roberson, concerning eternal punishment . . .
“Somebody says, 'The thought of Hell is so horrible.' Well, my friend, so is cancer, so is tuberculosis, so is the grave. Someone said, 'I believe sin ought to be punished, but not for eternity.' That's your view, not God's.
Again another says, 'I don't believe in the wrath of God.' Then you don't believe your Bible. The Bible says the wrath of God abideth on the one who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ. He is lost forever.
Now, these things come to us out of the Word of God. The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a hatred for sin. We ought to hate sin. The reason we have changed so much in this day in all of our churches is that we are not hearing much on this subject. Therefore, we endorse sin. We engage in sin. We camouflage the sin in our lives and allow things to go by, instead of hating sin as God wants us to hate sin . . .
The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a passion for the souls of men.”

I heard a preacher repeating a story about some geologists in Finland who accidentally dug into Hell. The story is guaranteed a false tale. How could any microphone withstand the temperatures of molten rock (lava)? I'm not criticizing preachers who tell this story. Their intentions are sincere. Albeit, our weakest argument is our enemy's most damning evidence against us. My question is: Why do we need some spectacular story to validate what the Bible plainly teaches, that is, Hell is a literal place that burns with fire? I believe in a literal Hell because I believe the Bible is God's Word. The story of the geologists who dug into Hell is interesting, but obviously a hoax. The story says the drill-bit suddenly spun faster, and the screams of millions of the damned were recorded crying out. Here's the MP3 recording of the alleged screams.
What should scare you, if you are a Bible
denier, is the preponderance of evidence that proves the legitimacy of the
Scriptures. Approximately 40 different writers, who wrote over a period of
1,700 years, who spoke different languages, came from different countries
and walks of life, some rich and others poor, some educated and others
unlearned, some young and others old—penned 66 books of the Holy Bible—Yet
all those books perfectly harmonize into one blessed masterpiece—THE HOLY
BIBLE! Only God could do that!
The Lord could have just handed His completed Words to Moses, or Paul, but He did it piece-by-piece, based upon the history of the nation of Israel, so that man could easily substantiate the divine origin of the Bible. History proves the Holy Bible! The only way for a man to fail to see the divine origin of the Scriptures is for him to flat out reject it!!! Archaeology verifies the dates in which the different manuscripts of the Scriptures were authored. No other book in the world has ever been assembled in such a spectacular manner. This miraculous development is not only astronomically improbable, but absolutely impossible!
Please don't go to Hell. The choice is yours alone to make! I don't know about you, but I love drinking cold and refreshing water. They'll be plenty of water in Heaven to drink from the river of life. Revelation 22:2, “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” God's river is not polluted with industrial waste! There's no dead fish floating in Heaven's river! I believe God's river is so pure that you can drink directly from it, purer than bottled water! Could you imagine being told in Heaven not to drink water from the river of life, because it is contaminated? That's not going to happen!
I wrote this article, because I pondered the thought today how much I appreciate cold, refreshing, water. It's a simple truth, but a practical one indeed. Could you imagine spending an eternity in Hell, having a physical body capable of drinking water, but there is none! Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” When a person goes to Hell, they are provided with an indestructible body that can feel pain, be tormented, thirst and suffer. Since one's earthly body decomposes in the grave, how could that same body be cast into Hell? Clearly, God provides some type of physical body for people who go to Hell, an indestructible body capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures, capable of thirsting, capable of feeling torment and pain. The Bible says to “FEAR” GOD, who can destroy both soul and body in Hell. Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Satan has always been a big liar. All of the
psuedo-Christian religious cults either deny the existence of Hell, teach
annihilation (you cease to exist), or diminish the severity of Hell to
deceive the lost. Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh-day Adventists deny the
existence of a literal burning Hell for all eternity. Scientologists deny
the reality of Hell. Roman Catholics teach the existence of a temporary
place called Purgatory.
Catholics are taught that loved ones in Purgatory can be rescued by
praying, confession, sacrifices, indulgences, giving alms, giving money to
the church, visiting cemeteries, et cetera. Such false teachings are totally
unbiblical and demonic. When a person dies, their fate is forever sealed in
either Heaven or Hell. There is no such place as Purgatory!!! Please don't
let Satan remove your fears and concerns about going to Hell. The only One
Who can remove your fear of spending eternity in Hell is God!!! The Bible
tells us to fear God, not the Devil.
God has made an easy way of escape from Hell. Romans 5:8-9, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved from the wrath to come in the fires of Hell. God in His unconditional love has made a way of escape, through the cross of Calvary! Christ DIED for our sins, He was BURIED, and He bodily RESURRECTED three days later. This is “the Gospel” according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-4. We are saved by BELIEVING THE GOSPEL. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Amen . . . TO EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH!
Are you a born-again believer? If not, what are you waiting for? If you don't want to spend eternity in Hell, burning in fire, being tormented, with unquenchable thirst, and not a single drop of water to drink, then please get saved before it is too late! The choice is yours alone to make!
