The Holy Bible Teaches A Pretribulation Rapture
By David J. Stewart | April 2015
Mark 13:33
and 37, “Take
ye heed, watch and pray: for
ye know not
when the time is
. . . . And
what I say unto you I say unto all,
Watch.”
I am surprised how many professed Christians are changing their views from a Pretribulation Rapture to a Postribulation Rapture, or the popular Pre-Wrath Rapture theory. I am a big fan of journalist Mark Dice's YouTube videos. Mark does a really great job, usually. Albeit, I 100% disagree with Mark's denial of a Pretribulation Rapture. Mark (who is a professed Christian) calls the Pretrib Rapture a “total hoax.”
Mark says it is “a fact” that the Pretribulation Rapture is a hoax. No, it is errantly speculation based upon a lack of proper Biblical exegesis. If the Bible is properly divided as 2nd Timothy 2:15 teaches, any honest Bible student can only logically conclude that the Rapture will happen BEFORE the 7-year Tribulation period.
2nd Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The very fact that God told us to rightly DIVIDE the Word of truth evidences that you cannot read the Scriptures from cover-to-cover like a newspaper to understand it. You must dissect it and cross reference Scripture-with-Scripture to understand it's depth of knowledge.
Hollywood actor, Kirk Cameron, starred in the original “Left Behind” series (which sold over 40,000,000 copies), but has since purportedly changed his view from a Pretribulation Rapture to a Postribulation Rapture according to producer David Heimbecker . . .
Kirk Cameron reportedly turned down a role in the “Left Behind” remake, according to Cloud Ten Pictures producer David Heimbecker who worked on the 2014 film. Cameron was offered a different role from that of reporter Buck Williams who he played in the straight to DVD adaptations that were released in the early 2000s. Cameron turned it down, according to Heimbecker, who said he would probably not be approached again for the upcoming sequel. “We actually approached Kirk Cameron for a role [in the first film],” Heimbecker told The Christian Post. “He’s obviously at an age that doesn’t fit [for Buck Williams] anymore. He was not interested. So it’s unlikely he would be in the next one. Probably for the same reason.”
Kindly, Kirk Cameron is an uneducated embarrassment to Christianity. Furthermore, I seriously doubt Kirk's salvation, and Ray Comfort's as well, because of their faulty understanding of Biblical repentance. They teach the heresy of Lordship Salvation instead.
The original Left Behind film starring Kirk Cameron was released in the year 2000. They spent $4,000,000 and made $4,200,000 ($200,000 profit). In 2014 the film was remade, starring Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage. Their film budget was $16,000,000 and they made $19,700,000 ($3,700,000 profit). There are two sequels planned, the next scheduled for showing in mid 2016. Sadly, the Left Behind series is listed on television networks as Science Fiction.
I never did like the Left Behind series, because it shows the Roman Catholic pope being raptured, and that's not accurate. The pope is not a Christian, because he trusts in the Catholic religion to get him to Heaven, instead of resting solely in the blood of the cross of Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:20, “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” There is no salvation in the Roman Catholic church!
Were Billy Sunday, Moody, Jones, Hutson, Rice and Ironside All Wrong?
May I humbly make the important observation that the greatest men of God of the past 150 years all believed in a PRETRIBULATION RAPTURE! Harry A. Ironside, John R. Rice, Jack Hyles, Bob Jones Sr., Lee Roberson, Harold Sightler, J. Frank Norris, Oliver B. Greene, R.A. Torrey, Dwight L. Moody, George W. Truett, Lester Roloff, Charles Spurgeon, Curtis Hutson, Billy Sunday, W.A. Criswell, Charles C. Ryrie, Mark G. Cambron, Raymond Barber and thousands more all concluded and taught a Pretribulation Rapture of the saints!!! Amen! Were they all wrong on the Bible? I think not!
Evangelist Billy Sunday Taught a Pretribulation Rapture!
Read what Evangelist Billy Sunday said in his classic sermon, “The Second Coming Of Christ”...
The Lord does not come to the world at the time of the Rapture, but only reveals himself to the members of His Body. At the time of his resurrection He was only seen by those who believed on Him. Pilate and the High Priest, and those who crucified Him, did not know that He was risen. So it will be at the time of the Rapture. The world will not know that He has been here, and will have no knowledge of Him until He comes with the members of His Body, at the close of the Tribulation.

If you have not seen it yet, here are 28 contrasts between the Pretribulation Rapture and Christ's Second Coming 7-years later. Here are some quotes about the Pretribulation Rapture.
A Defense Of The Pretribulation Rapture In Matthew 24:36-44 (The Olivet Discourse) Beware of Kirk Cameron's Apostasy
Honestly, I don't know what's going on with Kirk Cameron these days, but he's really saying some strange things; like saying Jesus invented Halloween, and that Santa Claus is actually good for children . . .
Concerns Grow As Kirk Cameron Says Christians Should Support Santa Claus
Geoffrey Grider | November 13, 2014Was Santa Claus a Christian? A ‘defender of the faith’? Is this reason to sit on the lap of the bearded man at the mall who “knows if you’ve been naughty or nice”?
That is what Kirk Cameron is claiming as proof why Christians should celebrate Christmas in a new documentary that opens this Friday in theaters across the country—an assertion that is raising concerns over Cameron’s confusion of Roman Catholicism with Christianity.
After recently asserting that Christians should celebrate Halloween, in a video clip released last week entitled “Do You Love Santa Claus,” Cameron stated that “maybe someone like Santa Claus is actually on our team.” He then released a second video providing the history of the figure of Santa Claus, who was actually the Roman Catholic Bishop Nicholas of Myra, Turkey under Pope Sylvester I.
Cameron further states in defense of Santa Claus . . .
“So the guy that many of us think is distracting from the birth of the Christ child, is really the defender of the faith you and I want to be,” he asserted. “So now that you know who the real Santa Claus is, you want to take a picture with him at the mall this Christmas? I do.”
The Increasing Trend of Pretribulation Rapture Deniers
Evangelist Kent Hovind in recent years has changed his view from a Pretribulation Rapture to a Postribulation Rapture. Mr. Hovind also teaches the heresy of a Young Earth creation.
Syndicated radio host Alex Jones (of whom I am a big fan because he exposes the New World Order) also denies the Pretribulation Rapture. Alex does a great job, but he is a false prophet concerning the Rapture. I do see why many people are denying the Rapture, because they're sick of idle Christians using it as an excuse to do nothing to fight the criminal takeover of the United States. Our 501c3 state-licensed churches are sitting idle on the sidelines while Communism is overthrowing our nation. I've had pastors get upset with me for criticizing 501c3 state-licensing of churches, but it is the truth my brethren. 501c3 licensing bans the churches from going against the government when they commit crimes and do evil, on penalty of losing tax-exempt status. This is government interference in religion. Literally, the churches are in bed with the government today. So who is going to expose, stand and fight against crimes and treason in government? Sadly, the heathen world does more than Christians do.
Albeit, I am not going to corrupt and change the Word of God to fit my agendas and preferences. I am 100% against tyranny in government, and I absolutely hate the pathetic attitude that Christians shouldn't get involved fighting the New World Order because the Rapture is coming. I do believe and teach that churches ought not get sidetracked from soul-winning, running bus routes and serving God; yet, we ought to also preach against and refuse to go along with crime, treason and wrong doing in government.
Romans chapter 13 does not teach submission to corrupt government (unless you have a corrupt Bible version). The King James Bible commands Christians to obey the higher authorities. God is the highest authority. The U.S. constitution and Bill of Rights are higher authorities than the government. When the government violates our Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, they should immediately be exposed, fired, arrested and prosecuted to the full-extent of the law. Sadly, federal, state and city governments violate the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights thousands of times each and every day in America, and nothing is done about it. This is how a police state takeover happens! If we don't fight to defend our rights, liberties and freedoms, we WILL LOSE THEM! You and your children may end up slaves like in China and North Korea today, long before the Lord returns, because of your lackadaisical attitude.
Pastor Steven L. Anderson (of whom I am a big fan because he stands), of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona; he originally taught a Postribulation Rapture in his film “After The Tribulation,” but then elaborated more, seeming almost to change his view to a Pre-Wrath Rapture in his film, The Book Of Revelation. Pastor Anderson errantly teaches that the Rapture will happen exactly 75-days after the event known as “The Abomination of Desolation” (this is the Biblical happening when the Antichrist claims to be God from the Illuminati temple in Jerusalem. Of course, the temple hasn't been rebuilt yet, but plans have already been made).
The heresy of Lordship Salvation has increased in lieu of America's spiritual decent into immorality and apostasy, as a human effort to force religious converts to live righteously as part of the plan of salvation. Likewise, many pastors and even radio talk show hosts, have taken favor to a Postribulation Rapture heresy, in a human effort to force churchgoers to be more concerned about the rising police state in America.
You see, many Christians won't fight against the evils of the New World Order, because they are awaiting the Rapture to remove them before things get ugly. I agree with Mark Dice that such an attitude is “pathetic and cowardly!” Yes Sir, I agree 100%. I too have experienced firsthand the frustration of attempting to inform fellow Christians at church of the evils of the Illuminati and the New World Order, just to hear them tell me that they couldn't care less, because Jesus is going to Rapture them away before it gets that bad! What a horrible and irresponsible attitude. No wonder our country is going to the dogs! I am doing my part to fight against the NWO, Communism and the Illuminati. THE TRUTH is the worst fear of the Illuminati.
It seems that many churchgoers are merely jumping on the bandwagon these days, for various reasons, whether it be to make money by exploiting the name of Jesus', or simply because they haven't studied for themselves the Word of God. I've heard people say they've read the Bible through from cover-to-cover and didn't find the word “Rapture,” so they don't believe it. Well, the word “Bible” is not found in the Bible either, but we still use it. 1st Thessalonians 4:17 says that all believers will be “CAUGHT UP,” into the air when Christ returns, which is what the word Rapture means.
Also, I have heard skeptics say that the word “Tribulation” is not found in the Bible either. They are wrong! Jesus said in Matthew 24:21, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Also, see Matthew 24:29). This is where scholars derive the word Tribulation. Since the Bible plainly teaches in Daniel about the number of days in Daniel's 70th week (or The Days Of Daniel), it is logical to refer to this entire period as the Tribulation. Logic Proves a Pretribulation Rapture.
The Mystery of the Rapture Revealed
Like it or not, the Holy Bible teaches a PREtribulation Rapture. The Lord Jesus plainly stated in the following Scripture passage that NO MAN knows the time of Christ's return, which only fits a Pretrib Rapture . . .
Mark 13:33-37, “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
Now if Pastor Anderson is correct that the Rapture will happen exactly 75-days after the Abomination of Desolation, THEN WE KNOW EXACTLY THE TIME WHEN CHRIST WILL RETURN. My friend, this goes against everything taught in the New Testament. The whole purpose of Christ's imminent, sudden, unpredictable and unannounced return is to keep believers on their toes, living righteously, knowing that their Master could come back at any moment. This is exactly what Jesus taught in Mark 13:33-37, which you just read. Here is the Apostle John speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit . . .
1st John 3:2-3, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”
It is a compelling motivator to live right, knowing that the Lord could come back RIGHT NOW!!! We are going to become spotless when the Lord returns, just as He is, raised up incorruptible and immortal (not subject to death). . .
1st Corinthians 15:50-53, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
And here are the words of the Apostle Paul, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit . . .
1st Thessalonians 4:15-18, “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
I have consulted both Halley's Bible Handbook and Unger's Bible Dictionary, who are both deliberately vague on this passage of Scripture, as to avoid taking a position. It is frustrating when scholars do that. The Bible plainly teaches in this passage that the saints are GOING UP, but later we read in Jude 1:14, “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.” Here we see one of many Scriptures contrasting Christ's Second Coming after the Tribulation period, contrasted with the Rapture of the saints before the Tribulation.
We read in Revelation 1:7, “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” Here again, we see another plainly stated contrast between Christ's Second Advent, “when every eye shall see Him”; and the Rapture, when only the saints caught up into the air shall meet and see Him. At the Rapture the saints are GOING UP; at Christ's Second Coming, the saints are COMING DOWN. It would be ridiculous to say that the saints are going to be raptured after the Tribulation, because then they would be coming and going at the same time.
And as I mentioned earlier, we would know exactly when Jesus is coming back if He returned at any time during the Tribulation, because of the specific events that are prophesied to take place during the Tribulation period. For this very obvious reason, any diligent Bible student can only reasonably conclude that the Rapture must occur at the onset of all these other prophetic events mentioned in Daniel and the book of Revelation. We read about the sun becoming darkened as sackcloth of hair, and the moon turning red like blood (Revelation 6:12). We read in Revelation chapter 9 about horrifying creatures, perhaps the result of man's genetic tampering with God's creation. Read carefully and you'll see that the locust-like, scorpion, human, hybrid, chimera, creatures come out of the smoke, after the sun is darkened from the smoke ascends out of the Bottomless Pit. Mad scientists have already made genetically modified Scorpion-cabbage! Human and insect DNA are being combined! Human and animal DNA are being combined! Where will this hellish tempering with God's creation lead?
In Revelation chapter 8 we read that there will be two meteorites that will crash into the earth during the Tribulation, poising the oceans. Massive fire and heat waves will burn a third of the world's forests to the ground and the grass. A third of all sea-life will die (Revelation 8:9). There will be destructive astronomical events that will hinder the sun from shining, and the moon and stars. Literally, all hell on earth will break out during the Tribulation period. We would know exactly when Christ would return, if all these atrocities had to happen first before Christ returns.
There are many other evidences of a Pretribulation Rapture, such as the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, which will both occur during the Tribulation period, but not upon the earth. It wouldn't make sense if the Rapture doesn't happen until after the Tribulation, because there must be a time for the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb to take place. These are events solely for born-again believers.
God wouldn't destroy the wicked city of Sodom until righteous Lot and his family were removed. Likewise, God wouldn't destroy the earth until righteous Noah and his family were removed. Likewise, God will remove the saints (the Church) from the earth before the horrifying Tribulation takes place. The Pre-Wrath Rapture view (to which Pastor Anderson and other hold), teaches that the atrocities of the Tribulation will not begin until after the saints are Raptured, but they set a date, by saying that the Lord will return 75-days after the Abomination of Desolation. Again, Jesus plainly taught that no man knows the time nor the hour when He will return. Only a pretribulation Rapture supports this Biblical truth. The truth is that Jesus Christ could return right now, this very moment, without any signs.
Also, as I learned from Evangelist Phil Kidd, who learned it from Pastor Harold Sightler—God never deals with Israel and the Church at the same time. In the Old Testament, God dealt with Israel. In the New Testament until today, God has been dealing with the Church. We are now living in what the Bible calls “the times of the Gentiles.” Luke 21:24, “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” God is not dealing with Israel today, which refutes the heresy of Zionism. After the Rapture, during the Tribulation period, God will once again deal with Israel. This further evidences why God must remove the Church from the world before He deals with Israel during the Tribulation.
Regardless of what you believe concerning the timing of the Rapture, or in a Rapture at all, it will not prevent you from going to Heaven, just so long as you've been born-again by faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Literally, we are saved by God's righteousness, through faith in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:9). Christ died for our sins on the cross, He was buried, and He raised up the third day. If you believe that, making it your personal hope for eternal life, you are saved. Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
