Pastor Marty Herron's Counterfeit Gospel

       Kindly said, Dr. Marty Herron is a damnable heretic, who sends people to Hell with his damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation! Mr. Herron is loyal follower and promoter of Pastor John MacArthur, personal buddies with Dr. Steve Pettit, and a friend of Satan! These men are pulling on the same rope as the Devil by preaching another gospel! You cannot show me anywhere in the inspired King James Bible that teaches someone to “repent of their sins” to receive the free gift of God. God's curse is upon the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and Bob Jones University, because they all preach another gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works!

Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) taught the Gospel of free grace, none of this turn from your sins crap theology that BJU promotes today. Beware of these false prophets! I am glad that Pastor Herron quit Harvest in 2018, because he was bad for the church. Harvest Baptist Church is a cesspool of iniquity today, using and promoting the Devil's Bible revisions, preaching the Devil's deception of Lordship Salvation, and not caring about hurting people like me.

I literally begged Marty Herron when he was still the pastor in February of 2017 for his spiritual help, but he cold-heartedly told me “Go elsewhere.” I pleaded to be able to simply attend church again, because I was lonely and didn't have a church family. That wicked man couldn't have cared less! Mr. Herron is an arrogant, heartless, corrupt, horrible man in my humble opinion. When someone begs for your help, but they are denied because they are not a neo-evangelical, it just shows that Marty Herron is not a godly man.

Since Mr. Herron is posting his ungodly sermons on the internet, I have a right to expose them as heresy. Respectfully, on November 17, 2019 at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Herron taught a church congregation that to be saved they must “REPENT OF YOUR SIN” to be saved. That poor man with cancer went to Hell, thinking that he had to turn away from sinful behavior to get to Heaven. THAT IS NOT THE GOSPEL!!! Telling someone that they must repent of sin is to literally imply that they must REFORM (a work) to be saved. Human reformation is not repentance! Romans 3:20, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” The unbiblical requirement to “turn from your sins” to receive the free gift of God is effectively the same as trying to keep the LAW! These people do not understand God's grace. “Salvation is of the Lord” (Jonah 2:9b), which does NOT require a willingness to turn from your sins. I am sick of this heresy in churches today!!!

The apostle Paul wrote to the church at Galatia, who had been infiltrated and corrupted by a works-based cult. Galatians 3:1-2, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” Paul didn't want to know if they had turned from their sins! Paul only wanted to know how the were indwelt with the Holy Spirit (i.e., how did they get saved?). Paul shows us the simplicity of salvation in one statement, “BY THE HEARING OF FAITH.”

When you hear 'The Gospel' preached, and you believe it, you are saved. That's it! The Bob Jones' crowd today are preaching doctrines of devils! Mr. Herron is preaching another gospel when he requires people to “TURN FROM YOUR SIN” to receive the gift of God, which is eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9). I pray for God to avenge me of the cruelty of the Bob Jones' camp on Guam at Harvest Baptist Church, and what their pastors did to hurt me and my family. SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!
 

Dr. Harry Ironside and Dr. Hal Lindsey Have Repentance Correct

Here is one of the best quotes that I've found on repentance, by Dr. Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951):

“Which comes first, repentance or faith? In Scripture we read, 'Repent ye, and believe the gospel.' Yet we find true believers exhorted to 'repent, and do the first works.' So intimately are the two related that you cannot have one without the other. The man who believes God repents; the repentant soul puts his trust in the Lord when the Gospel is revealed to him. Theologians may wrangle over this, but the fact is, no man repents until the Holy Spirit produces repentance in his soul through the truth. No man believes the Gospel and rests in it for his own salvation until he has judged himself as a needy sinner before God. And this is repentance.” (Except Ye Repent, p. 16)

Also, Dr. Hal Lindsey has repentance Biblically correct, who states:

“Repentance, as it relates to Christ, means to change our minds about Him, who He is and what He's done to provide forgiveness, and deliverance from our sins. When we place faith in Jesus as having taken our place personally on the cross and borne the penalty due our sins, then we're automatically repenting, because we couldn't accept Him in this way without having to change or minds in some way concerning Him.” (From the Liberation of the Planet Earth, by Hal Lindsey. (p. 133).

The Great Meaning Of The Word “METANOIA”!

The Lordship Salvation crowd is understandably upset with all the phony “Christians” in the world who bare no cross for the Lord. I am too! But we must not make the grave mistake of ADDING works to salvation in the name of “repentance.” The solution is not to change God's simple plan of salvation; but rather, to fill America's pulpits with men of God who will PREACH the Word of God and challenge God's children to live for God. There is nothing wrong with America that couldn't be solved by a generation of Billy Sunday's.

Turning from one's sins is reformation. Let's make a list to simplify things, shall we:

• PENITENCE - sorrow for sins
• PENANCE - making an amend for sins
• REFORMATION - turning from sins
• REPENTANCE - a change of mind

The Greek noun for the word “repent” concerning salvation is metanoia, which means, “a change of mind.” Matthew 21:32, “For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.” In this passage of Scripture, Jesus berates the Pharisees for not changing their minds so they would believe on Him. Unlike the publicans (ungodly tax collectors) and harlots who had CHANGED THEIR MIND to believe the Gospel, the Pharisees refused. They would not repent that they mighty believe. Notice carefully that Jesus did not say repentance would lead to turning away from sins; but rather, believing.
 

Pastor Marty Herron Horribly Mistreated Me And My Family

I attended Harvest Baptist Church on Guam for one year in 2013 to 2014 and I still attended Watchcare meetings in 2015. Dr. Marty Herron was their pastor, since 1999. At first pastor Herron was nice to me, and I mistakenly thought he loved me. Evidently he was just taking advantage of me, hoping I'd become another tither. My life was at rock bottom. My wife had divorced me in 2006. I still hadn't recovered by 2014, lonely, suffering in neck pain and tired in my life. I desperately needed Harvest's love. I had just tried to move back to the United States from Guam by myself, but was overwhelmed by it all, being all alone, and I returned to Guam. My one desire when I returned to Guam—after four months of living out of a suitcase, and losing $50,000 (from the remaining equity in my home lost in the divorce) to move—was to attend Harvest Baptist Church. All I knew is that they were fellow Baptists, and that meant home for me. So I crawled into Harvest, like a sponge, absorbing it all. I needed their love and help so much.

At first things went well. I even fell in love with a staff member. After a few months in the church, the Lord gave me a burden for the church. I had sat in nearly all the services, listening to the sermons like a sponge. I still have all my notes from Pastor Herron's sermons. He spent the year preaching expository sermons on the book of Genesis. The church's theme for 2014 was: “God Meant It For Good” (based on Genesis 50:20), which was helpful to me. I attended their 6 week “Foundations Class” in the pastor's office Sunday morning for new members. While sitting in the main church service my heart broke one Sunday morning, when I heard Pastor Herron tell hundreds of people, quote: “It is not enough to admit you are a sinner, you must turn away from a lifestyle of sin to be saved.” He said that during the invitation at the end of his sermon. I went home and literally cried, asking the Lord if I should return. I had nowhere else to go. So I decided to be a true friend and help the church see. Dr. Tom Ferrell preached at Harvest Baptist Church, and said from their very pulpit: “A FRIEND HELPS A FRIEND TO SEE!” But when I became that true friend, Harvest's pastors belittled me, called Pastor Jack Hyles and me “A CULT” for exposing the Devil corrupt Bible revisions, and they drove me out of their cult. Dr. Herron is still teaching the same damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation in 2020. If I had my way, that man would be banned from any church pulpit!

I wont tell the whole story here, because I have written extensively about the abuse I have suffered because of Marty Herron's cruelty, because he turned the whole church against me, refused to let me come back in 2017. It's a long story. As I mentioned, God gave me a burden to help my new friends at Harvest. I loved them so much! I bought a bunch of doctrinally sound books. I handed Marty Herron “I Never Knew You” by Michael P. Bowen. I handed him “Martin Luther: Master Of Deceit” by Pastor Max D. Younce. I gave him “NIV: The Antichrist's Bible” by Pastor Al Lacy. The next thing I know, I am called into the church office by the church pastors. Pastor Herron was present. I was scolded for telling THE TRUTH! They said I was forbidden from sharing any sermons by Pastor Jack Hyles about the King James Bible with anyone. These were Pastor Herron's wicked decisions!

I had been sharing sermons, books, music CD's and Alexander Scourby DVD Bibles with people I sat next to in church. God knows that I only wanted to help people. I did not have a malicious spirit. I wasn't trying to make the pastors look bad or go against them. I was still learning myself what the church believed. Since Harvest's pastors don't stand for anything, it is not easy to know what they believed. God knows I was just trying to be a blessing to the church. Doug Abels was the school principle, and he knows I was just trying to be a blessing. Brother Doug resigned a year after I was driven out. I believe he was disgusted with the whole place!
 

Harvest Baptist Church Is A Wicked Stiffnecked Religious Cult On Guam

Proverbs 17:14, “The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.” The really strange thing about all this is that I have tried incessantly to make peace with Harvest Baptist Church since 2017. They refuse to contact me (I can see their houses from my front door), so fuddrucker them! Marty Herron was their senior pastor. When I took the initiative to simultaneously contact three of the church pastors (Marty Herron, Joe Hanson and Jared Baldwin) by e-mail in 2017, they told me to go away! Pastor Hanson actually used the nurse that followed me around for a year (because she liked me), as an excuse not to let me come back, because now I finally agreed with her feelings. What a horrible hypocrite! Like I'm the only guy who ever liked someone in your damn cult!

I was actually willing to remove all my criticisms from the internet and befriend them, just so I could have a local church family, hopefully find a wife, and see some of the friends again that I missed from Harvest for the year that I attended. Those selfish jerks left me for dead and couldn't have cared less about me as a human being! All that matters to them is their damn paycheck. I haven't had a church family since 2015, because of Harvest's ungodly pastors! I offered in 2017 to do whatever it took, and to keep my beliefs to myself, if they'd just give me a second chance to come to church and be a part of something. They might as well have urinated on me! Where dwelleth the love of God? Romans 14:10, “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” They condemned me!

Since 2018, Dr. Marty Herron is now the executive vice president of some spiritually dead, deeper-life, neo-evangelical, preacher's cemetery in Iowa, making a 6-digit salary. It is disgusting! Spiritual crime pays well. YOU'LL NEVER SHUT ME UP! I'll start ten more websites at ten different companies if I have to. I'll change my name if I have to. I'll move wherever I need to. YOU'LL NEVER SHUT ME UP! I'm a fundamental Baptist preacher and I'm EXPOSING DEVILS IN THE PULPIT! I am just a redeemed sinner, a nobody, a stick in the mud, and I've never made a single penny for my ministry labors in my life!!! I preach from a pure heart. Lordship Salvation is another gospel from Hell. God curses Marty Herron, Harvest Baptist Church, Steve Pettit, John MacArthur, Sam Horn, Ray Comfort and every other religious pervert...

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

In 2014, associate pastor Jared Baldwin intentionally mistreated my family (my youngest daughter, son-in-law and grandson), who were still attending Harvest after their pastors confronted me for telling THE TRUTH and drove me out. Those wicked pastors wanted my whole family gone, lest I come back as well! One of the issues that Harvest's pastors had with me, was that I gave out a book by Pastor Max D. Younce titled: “Martin Luther: Master Of Deceit.” I physically handed Pastor Herron a hardcopy after church one Sunday evening. When he read the book title, and I told him what it was about, he insisted, and I quote: “Martin Luther was a born-again Christian!” Kindly, Mr. Herron is a fool to say that! Mr. Luther believed and taught the heresy of 'Baptismal Regeneration' up until his death in 1546.

What is wrong with Baptists today? I mean, when you put THE TRUTH directly into their hands, they are in woeful denial and become defensive, even hostile. I have seen staff members of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam visibly shaken when they see me in public, trying to hide their anger. All I have done is preach THE TRUTH, and they are too immature, backslidden or not saved at all, to handle it! I did offer to become friends with their church several dozen times since 2017 (God forgive me for trying to be buddies with heretics), but they cannot let go of a grudge and love someone who wants to be loved. A hurting dog barks!
 

Dr. Herron Preaches Another Gospel

You can hear the disturbing confidence in Dr. Herron's “REPENT OF YOUR SIN” heresy. To no surprise, Pastor Herron is a Bob Jones University graduate. That explains a lot! John MacArthur attended BJU for 2-years. These theological liars in the pulpit are bold ladies and gentlemen! It is sad and tragic that professed Christians everywhere are more loyal to corrupt religious men, than they are to the inspired Word of God. IT'S ALL ABOUT MAKING MONEY! They would never admit such a shameful thing, but when you look at the outrageous salaries they receive, the money speaks for itself! If you think that “turning from your sins” is necessary to be saved, YOU ARE NOT SAVED!!! You are not merely confused, YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO HELL FIRE FOREVER, unless you repent of your WRONG REPENTANCE heresy!!!

If you listen to the MP3 clip of Pastor Herron giving the story of a dying man with cancer that he allegedly led to the Lord, you'll hear that he claims the man instantly changed. Oh the joy, the nurse wanted Mr. Herron to tell others the same “turn from your sin” garbage theology. Folks, just because a dying man is happy that he has been given some false assurance, doesn't make it the Gospel. Matthew 7:22-23, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” You don't get saved by partial faith in Christ plus works! Turning from sin is human reformation, not regeneration! The fact of the matter is that you cannot show me the phrase “turn from sin” or “repent from sin” in the Bible! Acts 20:21 says “repentance toward God.” Pastor Harry Ironside gets repentance 100% right:

“Repentance is the recognition of my sinnership—the owning before God that I am as vile as He has declared me to be in His holy Word.” —Dr. Harry Ironside, 'Except Ye Repent,' chapter 3

Repentance is recognizing that you are not only a guilty sinner, but also a needy sinner. You need the dear Savior. Romans 3:19b says the purpose of God's LAW is “that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” The law shows us our sinnership and need for salvation, and then brings us to Christ to be saved by God's grace (Galatians 3:24-26). This has nothing to do with “repenting of your sin.” We repent of our UNBELIEF to be saved! Repentance is a change of mind. Pastor Bob Gray Sr. rightly said:

“Repentance means to change your mind—change your mind—change your mind about how you want to get to Heaven to what God says you've got to do to get to Heaven. If you've got to repent of all your sins, you're still headed for Hell tonight.” —Pastor Bob Gray Sr., a quote from the awesome MP3 sermon, 'Why You Should Be A Part Of A Growing Church'

Read this beautiful quote from Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968), who accurately taught the simplicity that is in Christ, none of this “turn from your sins” crap today (that BJU teaches)...

“Young people, you can't buy salvation. You can't pay for it after you get it. But if you don't already have it, you can have it. Somebody is giving it away around here. His name is Jesus and He wants to give you salvation.

Before I stop I will use an illustration I have used many times here at the college.  Maybe those of you who have heard it have forgotten it.

Do you see this quarter? I want to give it to you. But I am a peculiar man. I just give away quarters one way. I put a quarter in a book, shut the book, and offer you the book. You don't want the book? Well, all right, you can't have my quarter, then. I have a right to put the quarter in any sort of package I wish. God has something He wants to give you. It is eternal life. He wrapped it in the most wonderful package you ever heard of. He put it in Jesus. People looked at Jesus. Amen and amen! That was so simply, beautiful and eloquently said. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. preached the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). Read also what Bob Jones Sr. said about modernists and crooked religious liberals (like Steve Pettit and John MacArthur) creeping into his college! Dr. Jones said in 50 years he'd blow the college to smithereens with dynamite!!! Brother Jones said that in 1944! Ironically, 1994 is about the time the college went to hell in their doctrine!!! The Devil's modern Bible revisions have corrupted their doctrine and souls at BJU!!!

Now look at what this devil in the pulpit, Dr. John F. MacArthur heretically says:

“Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God His own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing...” [emphasis added] —Dr. John MacArthur, Grace To You, an updated quote from his book 'Hard To Believe', page 93

What a theological liar! The Bible says eternal life is a “free gift” (Romans 5:15-18). You cannot purchase it by turning away from your sinful behavior! Pastor Herron had all 666 volumes of MacArthur's Bible commentaries in his office on Guam. No wonder Dr. Herron is so messed-up doctrinally! Pastor MacArthur says many brilliant things theologically, which makes him so dangerous, because he is wrong on repentance and the Gospel! Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) got salvation 100% right! Brother Hutson also said that if a preacher is wrong on repentance, he will be wrong on everything, like buttoning a shirt; if you get the first button wrong, they'll all be wrong!!! You cannot trust Mr. MacArthur's Calvinist junk theology. Somebody needs to cry, “WOLF!” I'm doing it! The whole damned Bob Jones' camp is infected with the Lordship Salvation virus!!!

Since Harvest Baptist Church on Guam has continually refused to become friends, despite my every effort since 2017, we'll just stay enemies. I am on the RIGHT SIDE OF TRUTH! What is their FUDDRUCKING problem over there anyway? All I ever begged for was to let me attend church, so I could have a church family, and hopefully find a Christian wife, just like everyone else does. So why do they narrow me out and hate me so much? Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) tells us why...

“This isn't over Jack Hyles, this is over fundamentalism! These are evangelicals fighting fundamentalists—that's what it's all about; and their effort is to destroy Hyles-Anderson College. Over my dead body they'll destroy Hyles-Anderson College; and their effort is to destroy the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana; and I'll go to the finish before I'll let it happen! That's what's going on!” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a truthful quote from the needful sermon, “Weathering The Storm!”

Kindly said, I think Marty Herron was a shameful pastor. Pastor Herron could have made all the difference in the world in 2017 for me and my family, if he had just been the man of God that he professes to be; but instead, he cowardly fled the church for greener pastures elsewhere. The face of a coward is the back of someone's head as they run away from a battle! Was it so difficult just to let me come back to church? I humbly offered to meet in Pastor Herron's office at church. I pleaded for something I could do voluntarily to serve in the church. I even apologized for any trouble I had caused. I pleaded three times to please let me come back to church, but those ungodly reprobates of the faith condemned me! They turned me away and left me for dead, and cast away my family, when I desperate needed their help the most. I pray for God to avenge me of Marty Herron and the ungodly Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, for being cruel, selfish and not caring about people, as a church ought.
 

People Just Want To Be Loved

God knows in my heart that I love Pastor Herron and his wife Tammy in the Lord. I miss their daughter Megan, who was my friend in the Lord, and her husband Juaquin, and their kids' Brooka, Jordan and Ahava. I still have Brooka's picture of the ukulele that she colored on my refrigerator door, that she wrote: “I love the ukulele.” It says “From: Brooke” and “To: Mr. Dave” with a crayon. That picture is precious to me! I miss all of them. I still have a bunch of prayer lists from Harvest on my refrigerator too. I prayed for Pastor Herron's ear surgery, but what he really needs is surgery on the ears of his heart, because they aren't working at all.

I don't understand the woeful lack of love from Pastor Herron. I literally begged in 2017 three times to come back to Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, but Pastor Herron didn't care. When he responded to my e-mail, he spelled my name with a lowercase letter, “david,” which is disrespectful. I always showed him respect as the pastor. Then he just ignored my follow-up e-mails, not even acknowledging me as a human being. How convenient! They treat Harvest Baptist Church like a restaurant, where people are expendable. During the year that I attended Harvest in 2014, they had a profound impact upon my heart, mind and soul. But then it suddenly came to screeching halt because of our doctrinal differences. I found out the hard way that I was a fundamentalist in a neo-evangelical church! I am just A VOICE for my precious Lord, God and Savior!

The big thing is that I realized our differences and in 2017 was willing to humble myself, going along to get along, just to return in 2017. I even apologized for any hurt feelings. I offered to humbly meet in Pastor Herron's office to accept his pastoral guidance. I needed his spiritual help. I missed my church family so much, but Marty Herron cold-heartedly turned me away in my loneliness, pain of soul, physical suffering (stenosis and radiculopathy), and desperate need for a church family. Pastor Herron must answer to God for that, and for the past 6 years that I haven't had a church to attend because of him. My blood is on their hands at Harvest  Baptist Church on Guam. If any group of people in this world ought to shew forth God's unconditional LOVE for everyone, it is God's children in a local New Testament church. That didn't happen! 1st Samuel 24:12, “The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.”
