We Weren't Created For Things (Which God
Made From Nothing), We Were Created For God!

Revelation 4:11, “Thou art
worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast
created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Look around you. Everything that you can see God made from nothing. God
created the universe from nothing. Worldly, unsaved, skeptical, scientists
over the past couple decades have been forced to concede to irrefutable
scientific evidence that the universe could not have evolved from something.
If something came from something, then where did that something come from?
Science has NO answer! Consequently, dogmatic atheists like
Stephen Hawking now claim that although there is no God, the universe still
came from NOTHING! What sinful arrogance!!!
Only a fool would dare claim that the universe came from nothing by itself, without an intelligent Creator Who made it. Intelligent design is undeniable proof of an intelligent Creator! I cannot explore the known fascinating facts of our universe without my mind being completely awestruck and boggled by God's greatness, omnipotence (all powerful) and goodness. Revelation 4:11 (our text Scripture) teaches that ALL THINGS were created for God's pleasure. God is good to mankind, even being “kind unto the unthankful and to the evil” (Luke 6:35). Psalms 145:9, “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

Science has proven that energy and matter cannot be destroyed, but they can be converted from one form into another. These are verified rules of nature, stated by the laws of thermodynamics. This is the incredible and astronomic force behind atomic energy. Just think, if the mere splitting of atoms can produce such tremendous levels of nuclear energy, what could we harness if mankind ever learns how to actually make full use of atomic power! The mind-boggling release of devastating energy in an atomic bomb is caused by the mere splitting of uranium (naturally occurring) atoms or plutonium (a manmade element) atoms, generating a chaotic collision of electrons with other atoms, producing a chain reaction. Scientists have harnessed atomic energy in nuclear reactors to produce incredible power for modern civilization. The Nuclear Energy From Just One Tree Could Power All Of America For 10 Years!!!
It is IMPOSSIBLE for something to come from nothing, but God did the impossible! Wicked scientists totally contradict the laws of nature (physics) when they arrogantly claim that matter and energy came from nothing without the power of God. They actually claim that the entire universe came from a Big Bang that originated from a speck (black hole) the size of a pin point. But they cannot intelligibly, scientifically nor logically explain how it happened, nor how nothing became something. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
Also, can the universe have an outer edge? Logic tells us that the universe cannot be limitless. Everything must have a limit, a boundary, an end. Science says the universe is expanding, and this appears to be accurate, but that still doesn't tell us what is beyond the universe. The only logical answer is God. Psalms 104:2, “Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain.” 'GOD OF WONDERS' VIDEO (an awesome film! God's greatness is unsearchable, Psalm 145:3).
My friend, God created everything around us. We weren't created for things, and things weren't created for us. We were all created for God. No one can ever find happiness in things, because our purpose in life is to live for God. Ecclesiastes 12:14, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” God created mankind to worship Him, and to be thankful and to please Him. God wants us to enjoy the good things in life, but not as an end in itself. Luke 12:19-21, “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Are you rich toward God? It is a sin to plan for the future without including God. All it takes is just one insect, one bacteria, one little virus and life is over! Jeff Hanneman, guitarist of the heavy-metal Rock band SLAYER was called a metal god. After being bitten by a tiny spider, Hanneman underwent numerous surgeries to remove dead flesh from his body, causing him to eventually succumb to liver failure and death at age 49. There is no guarantee of tomorrow my friend. Death may be around the corner for me and you. I'm prepared to meet my God, are you? The possessions in our lives are meaningless without faith and obedience to God.
This is why the Bible teaches that the FEAR OF GOD is the first step to wisdom. Psalms 111:10, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” The heathen world have NO FEAR of God, which is why they live in sin. Psalms 36:1, “The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.” I fear God. I have to give account of my life to God in eternity (Romans 14:10-12; Ecclesiastes 12:14). The greatest things in life are not THINGS!
May we all realize that the world around us was created from nothing by our Maker. God loves us and has promised to give us ALL THINGS in eternity (Romans 8:32). God can do anything. Oh, how I look forward to Heaven and all the wonderful things that God has waiting for me (1st Corinthians 2:9). This earth is only temporal, where thieves break through and steal, and moth and rust ruin THINGS. Jesus told us to lay up treasures in Heaven where thieves cannot steal, and nothing rots or wears old (Matthew 6:20).
Luke 12:15, “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” That means don't lose your spiritual focus in life as a Christian. Don't prioritize making money, buying a home or obtaining possessions as a goal in life. Our top goals should be staying humble, soul-winning, giving to the poor, worshipping God, loving one another, contending for the Christian faith, Bible study, fasting and constant prayer to God. Money ought to NEVER be an issue in our decisions. Buying a home is acceptable, but it should never be allowed to become a passion that overrides our walk with the dear Savior. The desire for THINGS is in effect, the LOVE OF MONEY, which is the root of all evil according to 1st Timothy 6:8-10).
Happiness cannot be found in living for THINGS, because God did not create us for that purpose in life. No person can ever truly be happy until they live for God, for that is why we were created. Revelation 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
They Knew Not Until The Flood Came
Luke 17:26-27, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”
