God's Words Will Always Be Inspired

By David J. Stewart

John 6:63, “...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

The originals are in Heaven (Psalm 119:89). God's Words were inspired in Heaven before ever given to man. God's Words are inspired into whatever language they are translated, because they always were inspired. God's Words do not lose their inspiration just because they are translated from one language into another.

Job 32:8, "But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding." It is God's breath, inspiration, that gives His Words authority, power and makes them alive. They are God's very Words. Hebrews 4:2 teaches that God's Word is "quick" (alive). God's Words do not cease to be inspired just because they are translated into English. What God has breathed life into continues to bring forth life. God's Words are life. God breathed those Words to man and they continue to bring forth life, because they are life.

Woe unto the man who teaches that our English King James Bible is not inspired by God, for the very Words themselves are inspired, each and every one by God. To say that the King James Bible is not inspired is to say that those words are not "quick and powerful" as Hebrews 4:2 teaches.

Genesis 2:7, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." A baby that is born today still has the breath of life which God breathed into Adam, because God breathed that first breath into Adam. Human beings do not cease to be living souls because God only breathed into Adam. That breath of God perpetuates throughout the human race.

In the same way, God breathed life through His Words and they are life. John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." That is the inspiration of God.

To view inspiration in consideration of 2nd Timothy 3:16 as only an initial process is all wrong. The Words that God spoke are life (as Jesus stated in John 6:63), breathed forth from God, and those Words will always bring forth life, because they are life. That life is the inspiration, the very breath of God. God's Words will be inspired always, no matter what language they are translated into.
