Moody Bible Institute Hits New Moral
Low: Lifts Ban On Alcohol, Tobacco & Gambling For Employees
The
New York Times and
Chicago Tribune ran articles in late September 2013 about Moody Bible
Institute's (MBI) shameful decision to lift the more than century-long ban on
booze and tobacco for staff and faculty. Moody Bible Institute was founded by
the mighty man of God, Dwight Lyman Moody in 1886. Listen to the lies of
Moody's sad president, Paul Nyquist...
"We're the Moody Bible Institute, so
we're very interested in staying and adhering to God's word," said Moody's
president, Paul Nyquist. "You can't substantiate nondrinking from Scripture.
In New Testament times, in Old Testament times, there was drinking of wine.
You can't get around that."

Yeah, there was drinking in the Old Testament and
it wreaked havoc. Noah and his son Ham endured a strained relationship for the
rest of their lives because Noah got drunk one day. When Noah got drunk he got
naked. The first incident of incest recorded in history, between Lot and his
daughters, never would have happened if it were not for the alcohol that they
brought with them out of Sodom. God utterly destroyed that wicked city because
it was so contemptible and filled with all manner of evil.
One truth that needs to be mentioned is that
“wine” in the Old Testament was naturally fermented. That's why the Bible says
in Proverbs 23:29-30, “Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions?
who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to
seek mixed wine.” Notice that to get drunk you had to “TARRY LONG AT THE
WINE.” That's not the case at all with today's distillery made beers, whiskeys
and wines which contain high concentrations of alcohol, which the Bible calls
“STRONG DRINK.” Proverbs 20:1 warns us, “Wine is a mocker, strong
drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.” Moody's
administration, staff and teachers are NOT WISE the Bible says, because they
are drinking strong drink. Beer is for fools! Along with booze comes DUI's and
all the sins associated with LIQUID DEVIL.
Moody, Like Wheaton College, Are
Following The Sinful World
Hypocritically,
the new policy doesn't apply to students. It is apostasy!!! It is
wickedness!!! The historical Christian, Biblical and moral position for
abstaining from alcohol, tobacco and gambling, has now shifted to a sinful
position of situation ethics and cultural shifting. The only shifting that I
see going on at Moody is BACKSLIDING! Dwight Moody, Billy Sunday and other
faithful preachers of the era stood uncompromisingly against the evils brought
about by dancing, gambling, and booze!
Nothing has changed over the past
century. Dancing is as sensual, sexually suggestive and filthy today as it
ever was. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people are still being murdered by
drunk drivers under the influence of alcohol. Wives are still being beaten.
Sexual sins are still synonymous with alcohol. Poverty and broken lives are
still caused by alcohol. Smoking still causes cancer. Smoking won't send you
to Hell, but it will make you smell like you've been there. Sin is still sin a
century later. Booze is still public enemy number one. The awfulness of sin
hasn't changed. God hasn't changed. What has changed is our morals in the
United States. We are living in
the wicked television generation (MP3 sermon clip, Brother Roloff, from
1967). With all the sexual filth on TV, the violence and the wickedness, no
wonder Moody is dipping its sails in sinful compromise. It's high time for
God's children to stand firm upon the promises of God and righteousness,
instead of hobnobbing with the Devil's sinful crowd...
But Moody's decision also marks a
significant departure from its legacy. Like many 19th-century evangelists,
Moody's founder, the Rev. Dwight L. Moody, played a role in the nation's
temperance movement.
"They were observing what they believed was the disrupting, damaging and
deteriorating influence of alcohol in culture," said Lloyd Dodson, Moody's
vice president of human resources, who led the faculty and staff group that
recommended the change. "Times have changed, where churches are speaking on
other issues and less about that."

Times
may have changed, but God hasn't changed. The Bible hasn't changed. Biblical
morality hasn't changed. As born-again believers we're not supposed to allow
the ever-changing, sinful, world to dictate our moral standards; but rather,
the unchanging, inspired, Words of a holy God.
I think
our text Scripture from Proverbs 31:6 is fitting. The Bible says to give booze
(strong drink) to those who are dying (him that is ready to perish). America's
evangelical BIBLE COLLEGES ARE SPIRITUALLY DYING!!! So maybe they're just
drinking themselves out of their misery before apostasy finishes Moody Bible
Institute off completely for the Devil. This certainly seems to be the case.
Alcohol
is as much a menace to society today as it has ever been. Alcohol is just as
disruptive, damaging and deteriorating to culture today as it ever was! People
are still dying. When people guzzle their booze, the tragic consequences that
follow are no “accident.” Drunken drivers who kill their innocent victims are
usually charged with involuntary manslaughter and merely given light prison
sentences of only 5 years (10 years if they murder a group of children).
God's
curse is upon the legislatures, judges and lawyers who continue to allow the
evils of alcohol in America. Truly, the love of money is the root of all evil.
I'm tired of hearing about how wonderful of a guy John McCain is as a war
hero. He's an illuminati kingpin, totally bought off and a part of the
globalist establishment all the way. McCain's wife owns a giant booze company
and they are no heroes!

What a
sorry and sad testimony upon the administration, 600 staff members and faculty
of Moody ministries. Shame on their board of directors! This type of apostasy
can only lead to further apostasy until the Devil takes complete control.
Eventually, indifference and anarchy will set in like rigor mortis and the
Bible college will die spiritually. It appears to have already happened. They
bring in mostly secular courses and all remnants of a once great Bible
institution have been totally eradicated. Dwight L. Moody (1837-1899) is
crying from Heaven! The Lord is crying from Heaven! And don't think for one
second that God is not angry. Everything about alcohol is evil. Beer ruins so
many families! I am shocked that a professed Bible college would permit it's
staff, administrators and Bible professors to engage in booze drinking. It's
tragic! What a shame! Moody is going downhill fast!
I took a
look at Moody's courses being offered and found a course on Spiritual
Formation And Discipleship. They advertise the course as, “Learn fundamental
skills in development of Christian character and provide a foundation for
spiritual growth and outreach.”[1]
What a pathetic joke! You want me to send my son or daughter to your school to
attend a college class on learning Christian character, while you allow your
staff and employees to drink booze, gamble at casinos and smoke cigars? I
don't think so. Not on my watch! Parents, don't be foolish. Any parent who
approves of Moody Bible Institute's allowance of worldly activities is not
right with God. THE GOD OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE IS A HOLY GOD!!! Drinking
booze is not being holy. Smoking cigarettes is not being holy. Gambling with
cards is not holy. If employees can drink alcohol, then that means they can
also frequent taverns, bars and nightclubs where booze is sold. Lame Moody,
that is really lame!
I am
shell-shocked that any so-called Christian university would allow their
employees to indulge in such worldly activities, which sends a clear message
to all their students that morality is not really all that important.
Who Is On The Lord's Side? (Joshua 24:15)
With
all the moral filth in American society today. With all the drunkenness and
debauchery. With all the fornication and sexual immorality caused by alcohol.
With all the promotion of booze on television and by the beer cartels, why
would any professed Christian college help pull on the same rope as the Devil?
Why, oh why, would any professed Bible university change it's long-time ban
against drinking and smoking? I'll tell you why, because Moody's employees are
already doing it. The last remaining bastions of morality in America are
crumbling.
Many
people criticize me for preaching against ecumenicals and apostates for their
sinful compromise, false doctrines and hob-knobbing with unsaved reprobates;
yet, times like this vindicate my concerns and Biblical preaching. I've been
exposing Moody ministries for many years now because of their teaching of
Lordship Salvation. I've been preaching against their low morals and printing
of John MacArthur's heretical literature. And now they are permitting their
600 staff and faculty members to drink booze, gamble and smoke cigarettes (a
disgusting, filthy, bad habit). It's also a sin, because 1st Corinthians
3:16-17 forbid defiling the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Anything that defiles our body is sinful.
Do you
know the main reason WHY you shouldn't drink, smoke or gamble? It's
because Jesus lives in you if you are born-again by the Holy Spirit of God...
1st Corinthians 3:16-17, “Know ye
not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in
you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the
temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
The very God of the universe, your Creator and
Redeemer, lives within your body if you are saved. To be saved all you have to
do is receive the gospel as full-payment for your sins. Just trust upon the
fact that Christ died, was buried and resurrected after three days for YOUR
SINS (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). That's it! John 20:31, “But these are
written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and
that believing ye might have life through his name.” The choice is yours!
It's not
too hard to see that Moody Bible Institute is headed down the tubes (if the
Lord tarries His return). They are going to become a heathen university. Moody
Church is already dead! I wouldn't give you a dime for their college or their
staff. I would hope that there are still some respectable Christians working
at Moody ministries who will resign and leave that mess before they go down
with the mother ship. The handwriting has been on the wall for decades. Moody
is not a good place to train to serve God. What are we teaching our youth when
Bible colleges allow teachers and staff to drink alcoholic beverages and smoke
cigarettes? Dr. Hyles used to say that he would burn Hyles-Anderson to the
ground before he would allow liberals to share their views from the pulpit.
Yes Sir, I agree! If Dwight L. Moody were alive today, I firmly believe that
he would fire all the administrators and any employee who smokes, drinks or
gambles. This is a Christian school, not a tavern. If you want to drink booze,
join the Devil's ranks!
I
remember way back in the late 1980's buying some books from Moody's downtown
Chicago bookstore. I remember seeing female Moody students wearing tight
pants. I remember hearing Christian Rock music being played over their store
speakers (all of Satan's apples have worms... there's no such animal as
“Christian” Rock music). I saw the students holding hands and ogling each
other in public. One guy had his thumb in his girlfriend's rear-end, through a
hole in her pants. That's Moody 20 years ago! I knew back then that Moody
Bible Institute was following Jesus from afar off like Peter. I recall hearing
a group of Moody students tell a gospel Skid Row minister in Chicago that we
we're living in new times and the old hymns of the 19th century we're
out-dated and needed to go away. Those brats are wrong! Give me the old-time
religion!!! Look at Moody's
students today and you'll see that all the females wear pants. The Bible
teaches that women are not to wear men's clothing, nor men women's clothing
(Deuteronomy 22:5).
Deuteronomy 22:5, “The woman shall not
wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's
garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.”
The
preceding Scripture is not a ceremonial law; but rather, a moral law.
Ceremonial laws only applied to a specific people (the Jews), during a
specific time (the Old Testament), in a specific region of the world
(Palestine); but moral laws apply at all times, everywhere and for all people.
God hates effeminacy, cross-dressing and sissy behavior for men.
God also
hates rugged, manly and cross-dressing on women. Men are to be rugged,
decisive and tough; but women are to be soft, meek and shamefaced.
God hates the impudent face (a look of casual
disrespect) on a woman, notorious for harlots and rebels (Proverbs 7:13). That
impudent face is prevalent in America today, and God hates it. The Lord will
wipe that impudent face away, as promised by Isaiah 13:11. God will punish the
world for their pride, arrogance and evil.
Christians ought to strive to live
holy (moral perfection) as God is holy. Gambling, booze and smoking are of the
Devil. Alcohol is of the Devil!!! The beer companies know it (as seen to the
right), but it's too bad that Moody's so-called Christian leaders won't admit
it. Beer is one of Satan's most effective weapons!
As the
world changes for the worse, Moody is following them downhill into perdition. That is what is
happening now. Since most people drink beer and smoke cigarettes these days
(not me, not once, not ever! Amen!), Moody's directors want to keep up with
the sinful world. Admittedly, Moody officials want to adapt to changes in
American culture for the sake of attracting more teachers and worldly
students. But they're now going to be attracting the wrong kind of teachers
and students, which will ultimately bring Moody Bible Institute to its knees
in defeat to the Devil. I wouldn't give you a dime for a so-called Bible
teacher who is so worldly as to drink booze or wine, and gamble and smoke
filthy cigarettes. Teachers are mentors! What kind of message does that send
to the students?
In my
opinion, I wouldn't recommend for anyone to attend Moody church or their
college, unless you want an inferior Christian education and to be influenced
by worldly teachers. I don't want a Bible teacher who smokes cigarettes,
gambles with cards and drinks booze. And I certainly don't want a Bible
teacher who thinks a
blood-denying reprobate like John MacArthur is a great man of God.
MacArthur is bas news, although he does say many excellent things and is 95%
accurate in his teachings. Would you drink a cup of milk with one drop of rat
poison in it? I didn't think so. MacArthur's damnable teachings on Lordship
Salvation and denying the validity and importance of Christ's literal,
physical, blood sacrifice make him a very dangerous teacher.

Moody Bible Institute in Chicago voted to overturn a century old ban
against boozing, smoking and gambling for faculty members and staff. To
counter criticism from various churches, Moody has been hypocritically
promoting the theme of “HOLINESS.”

to believe that The University Of Chicago was once founded by a
faithful Baptist preacher. Today UOC is one of the most liberal, dead and
ungodly universities in America! I'm not trying to be unkind, and I'm a
big sinner like anybody else; but as Christians we are supposed to take a
stand against wickedness on behalf of our God.

Evangelical College Lifts Alcohol Ban, in Culture Shift
Insiders say that this change at Moody, founded by the 19th-century
evangelist Dwight L. Moody and a pillar of the conservative wing of
evangelicalism, is, above all, a smart business move. The old, restrictive
rules made it more difficult to recruit faculty members and staff.
Jerry
B. Jenkins, the co-author of the best-selling “Left Behind” novels and the
chairman of Moody’s board of trustees, said that J. Paul Nyquist, who became
president of the school in 2009, first floated the idea of a new policy.
According to Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Nyquist discovered that some potential
Christian employees were put off by Moody’s strict code.
“He
said that in the hiring practices, they had been running into people
responding to the fact that it was kind of pharisaical of us to have a bunch
of lists of rules,” Mr. Jenkins said.
“Pharisaical” refers to the biblical Pharisees, believed by Christians in
the Bible to prefer systemic rules to general principles, like forgiveness
and love.
So
about a year ago, Mr. Nyquist convened a committee to explore a change.
“They
brought back a report,” Mr. Nyquist said, “and we decided that this was an
area where we wanted to change the standard to reflect no more or less than
what God requires. We know the Bible tells us that God gives us our food and
gives us our drink. So use your biblically discerned conscience and do what
God wants you to in these areas.”
Mr.
Nyquist was alluding to the fact that there is drinking all over the Bible,
in both the Old and New Testaments. At the wedding at Cana, for example,
Jesus turns water into wine.
Yet
in the New Testament, the apostle Paul teaches that our bodies are our
temples, and many Christians infer from this and other passages that
drunkenness is an affront to God. Proponents of total abstinence conclude
that, given humans’ fallen, sinful nature, it is prudent for Christians to
avoid alcohol altogether.
Molly Worthen,
the author of “Apostles of Reason: The Crisis of Authority in American
Evangelicalism,” said that in recent decades some evangelicals have put
distance between themselves and what they see as a censorious, conservative
Christian culture.
“Particularly younger evangelicals and fundamentalists are disillusioned
with their parents’ version of the Christian right,” Ms. Worthen said. As
part of their attempt to develop a fresh take on evangelicalism, some of
them have decided that they can trust themselves to drink.
“For
example,” Ms. Worthen said, “I know young Nazarenes” — a conservative
Christian denomination — “who are beginning to drink a little bit, but still
have a lot of anxiety about it. What’s happening just now at Moody and at
other schools, with the loosening of bans on drinking and dancing, is that
conservative Protestants are kind of at a crossroads.”
Of course, at
Moody it’s the grown-ups who now have permission to drink, not the students.
But the school is part of a clear trend, in which evangelical colleges try
to stay in step with the culture, however gingerly. And these small changes
are often prompted by students. For example, both Wheaton College, outside
Chicago, and John Brown University, in Arkansas,
ended dancing bans in part because of pressure
from students.

Moody's
spiritual leaders said they chose to drop the ban on alcohol and tobacco to
attract new teachers into their Bible college. What a horrible thing! What
Bible are they using now? The King James Bible teaches against drinking booze!
Proverbs 20:1 warns us, “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging:
and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”
Moody's staff and teachers
are NOT WISE the Bible says, because they are drinking strong drink (any
distillery produced alcohol is strong drink). As mentioned earlier, in Bible
days you had to tarry long at the naturally fermented wine to get drunk. It
took all day at the wine. But today just a few beers will land you in prison
with a serious DUI or DWI charges. The police impound your car and take it
permanently if you are a repeat offender.
DUI attorneys can cost tens-of-thousands of
dollars in legal fees. What kind of idiot college board would permit alcohol,
fully knowing what alcohol does to families? Dr. John R. Rice called alcohol
“LIQUID DEVIL” for a very good reason... BEER KILLS!!! Moody is now pulling on
the same rope as the Devil.
Every beer-drinker who attempts to justify their
drunkenness will cite Moody ministries from now on as their excuse. Hey, even
Bible college professors drink booze! I know that God will hold Moody's
decision makers accountable for all the evil repercussions because of this
wicked decision to permit booze, gambling and smoking. Just wait until Moody Bible
Institute's teachers start getting arrested for driving under the influence
(DUI). Moody is nothing more today than a money-making business, period! Oh,
how D.L. Moody's heart must be breaking in Heaven!
Moody ministries is a disgrace today in 2013. Real great Christian testimony, huh? Does anyone
care what people think about the Lord because of our actions? Matthew 5:16
says to let our good works so shine before men that they may see our good
works and glorify God which is in Heaven. How does drinking beer, playing
cards and smoking cigarettes bring glory to God? Are these good works? No,
they are bad works of the reprobate world. Noah never would have become drunk
if he hadn't taken that first drink. You can't take two drinks if you don't
take the first. That's Brother Jack Hyles' philosophy and I like it a lot. If
God wanted us to smoke anything, then He would have put a chimney up on top of
our head (but He didn't).
It is ungodly wickedness what Moody is allowing.
What has our nation's Bible colleges become? Why not allow marijuana and
homosexuality while you're at it. How about card games and strip poker? The
moral banner should be lifted higher, not brought lower to attract a lower
moral crowd to teach Bible to our youth. Has Moody become the “SIN CITY” of
Bible institutions? What a sick paradox! What an unbelievable sign of apostasy
in our churches today.
When Bible colleges dip their sails in sinful
compromise to attract boozers, gamblers and smokers to educate our Christian
youth in the ways of the Lord, what have we become? Moody is no better than
any other heathen school. I'd rather have 10 students who mean business for
the Lord (and struggle financially), than to have 10,000 worldly students and
business is booming in profits! The Lord didn't choose 1,000 apostles; but
rather, only 12 men. And those men turned the world upside down!!!
Acts 17:6, “And when they
found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the
city, crying, These that have turned the world
upside down are come hither also.”
Praise God for Billy Sunday and every
leather-lung man of God and preacher like him. One man or woman can change the
world.
Booze
is of the Devil. No one needs to drink alcohol, anymore than anyone needs
medical marijuana. Billy Sunday was correct!!! Dwight L. Moody was correct! Booze
belongs in Hell. There are complete cities and U.S. territories that have been
destroyed because of problems with alcoholism.
Anchorage, Alaska is ground
zero for alcoholism. Honolulu has a major problem with alcoholism. Sadly, one
of the biggest sale items at ABC Stores all around Waikiki in Honolulu,
Hawaii is hard-liquor. It's right inside the door, booze galore!!!
Drunk drivers still menace American society!
Illegal drugs are epidemic across the United States! Alcohol is an enabler
drug, that is, it gets you started on the road to substance abuse. Bless God,
you cannot takes two drinks if you don't take the first. Alcohol has no place
in Christian character.
How can Moody teachers actually teach a course on
Christian character when they don't have any themselves? Moody Bible Institute
is dead spiritually! Whatever spiritual life they once had is long gone! No
man who walks closely with the precious Lord Jesus Christ is going to endorse
gambling, drinking and smoking. It is apostasy! Truly, the love of money is
the root of all evil as the Bible warns (1st Timothy 6:10). Do you love Jesus?
Do you?
As Christian we ought to teach total abstinence
from all types of substance abuse. You cannot tell kids to “Say no to drugs!”
while you're drinking cases of beer, a narcotic drug by very definition!
Alcohol is a powerful drug on the human body. Infamous singer, Amy Winehouse,
drank herself to death with alcohol. Her blood/alcohol content was 5 times the
legal limit (around .40 BAC). Such a horrible waste!
Moody's present leadership are far from the Lord,
that is obvious. If they walked with the Lord Jesus Christ as I do, then they
would hate sin as God does. When you truly walk with God, you become like Him
as He rubs off on you. Hating sin is the Spirit of God working in us. If you
are a born-again Christian, then you have God's Holy Spirit indwelling you.
The Spirit hates sin. Hebrews 1:9 teaches us that the Lord Jesus hateth
iniquity. Psalms 97:10 commands us as believers to hate evil as the Lord hates
evil.

The Bible Says Alcohol Is For Dying
People
The Bible teaches that alcohol is for dying
people, not for princes and rulers of nations. Alcohol dulls the senses and
muddles one's ability to think clearly. I got sick when I saw Presidents
George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and the President of Russia drinking booze while
making major decisions that affected hundreds-of-millions of people.
Proverbs 31:4-7, “It is not for kings, O
Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment
of any of the afflicted. Give strong drink unto him that is ready
to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and
forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.”
Don't you think that training our youth to serve
the Lord is more important than secular kings and leaders who meet? Yes, of
course! There is no higher privilege in the world than motherhood. Shame on
anyone who diminishes motherhood. Bible colleges ought to teach motherhood and
fatherhood. They ought to teach HOW TO be a godly and good mother and father.
Alcohol is not for parents. Alcohol is not for preachers. Alcohol is not for
Bible teachers. Bless God, I love Dr. Hyles' philosophy that only preachers
should be teaching students in a Bible college. If you want to produce
preachers to reach a nation for Jesus Christ, then you need preachers training
preachers by example. Moody has boozing and smoking teachers. What kind of
students will they produce? You got it... boozers and smokers who couldn't
preach their way out of a paperbag, dead spiritually and a casualty for
Christ!

I say, this spiritual nightmare at Moody Bible Institute didn't happen
overnight. It was a progressive downturn, a corrupting of their once good
morals, by hob-knobbing with ecumenicals in the ministry, and rubbing
shoulders with worldly entertainers and greedy businessmen.
The Bible commands
all believers to come out from among them and BE YE SEPARATE, SAITH THE LORD
(2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). The apostate ecumenical movement seeks to sinfully
unite over error, rather than to Biblically divide over truth.
I learned
in Bible college decades ago that lifestyle follows doctrine. Let me say that
again... LIFESTYLE FOLLOWS DOCTRINE! Let me explain. We don't form our
doctrines based upon our morals; but rather, one's morals always follow their
doctrinal beliefs.
This is why it is of the utmost importance for youth to be
taught the doctrine of Christ and the teachings of God's Word. Proverbs
4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues
of life.” Give God your heart and He'll comb the kinks out of your head.
As a
person's doctrines, convictions and beliefs change, their lifestyle and morals
will eventually follow behind. It's inevitable! This is why Proverbs 4:23
admonishes us to diligently keep our heart. Turn off that demonic TV! The evil people who control Hollywood
want to corrupt your heart and soul. I don't want to change to the left. I'm
always willing to move to the right, closer to righteousness and the Word of
God. But “I shall not be moved,” as David said, when it comes to moving to the
left in sinful compromise.
If you want to move to the right, read your Bible
and listen to preaching. If you watch television, you're going to move further
and further to the left, whether you realize it or not. God is all the way on
the right; and the Devil is all the way on the left. I want to continually
move to the right.
The Devil's Lie Of Lordship Salvation
Always be
willing to move to the right, but never to the left, in your Christian beliefs
and moral standards. Moody Bible Institute is moving to the left, far to the
left. But this does not come as a surprise, because they've been doctrinally
moving toward the left for generations now. Dr. John MacArthur, Evangelist' Paul Washer and
Ray Comfort are on the left. They teach the
heresy of
Lordship Salvation,
errantly requiring sinners to cease from sinful behavior in order to be
saved. They have it all backwards. You don't
close the barn doors after all the horses are gone! You don't put the cart in
front of the horse. That would be silly. No, instead you put the cart behind
the horse so that he can pull it and give you a nice ride to wherever you are
going. The horse must come first. The Lord does the saving. We just go along
for the ride.
Likewise, salvation by faith alone in the
Gospel of Jesus Christ
must come first. And then whatever changes God wants to make in that person's
life will follow in the Lord's time, as that new convert grows in grace,
desiring the sincere milk of the Word (1st Peter 2:2). It is the indwelling
Holy Spirit that changes a believer, as the believer yields, and walks in the
Spirit in which they now live (Galatians 5:25). We live right as
Christians because WE ARE SAVED, and not to BE SAVED. Ephesians
2:10 says that God has created the believer “UNTO GOOD WORKS,” not by good
works. You cannot
live right to get saved.
You are not required to be willing to turn from sin
to be saved (because that would be a self-righteous work). Forgiveness of sins
and eternal life is a free gift. That would be self-righteousness and couldn't save
you. Roman Catholics are not saved, because they attempt to earn and merit
God's favor to be saved by their own human effort. In sharp contrast, the
Bible teaches in Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine
own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which
is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”
Amen and amen!!!
Roman
Catholics live a very superstitious lifestyle that results from their errant
belief that they are saved by loyalty to the Vatican, the Pope, Our Lady Of
Fatima and other canonized saints and patrons. It is a burdensome religion of
touch not, taste not, handle not rituals and Sacramental Salvation (which is
no salvation at all). The world recognizes the various religions as mere
aspects of the individual cultures, but the Bible supersedes all of that with
the divine mandate... YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN! (John 3:5-7). The Lord
Jesus Christ spoke those mighty words 2,000 years ago to Nicodemus, a teacher
and religious leader over the Jews.
Except you are born-again, you CANNOT
enter into the kingdom of God, and never will. You MUST be born again by the
Spirit of God, which happens when we receive the Gospel (good news) that
Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and then bodily resurrected
72 hours later from the dead. Make that your hope for Heaven and the work is
done! An admitted sinner is saved the moment they receive Christ's sacrifice
on the cross as full-payment for their sins, believing that He was buried, and
bodily raised up from the dead 72 hours later. According to 1st Corinthians
15:1-4, this is “the Gospel.”
A changed
life is the FRUIT of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and not a part of the
ROOT of saving-faith. We must not confuse the FRUIT of a believer's faith
(James 2:18-23) with
the ROOT of faith (Romans 4:1-6). We are saved by God's righteousness through faith in
Christ (Philippians 3:9; Romans 10:3-4). We have no righteousness of our own to offer God (Isaiah 64:6). We
need Christ's righteousness which is by faith. Most people fail to understand
this Biblical truth. Salvation is simple, but men make it difficult.
Satan has
crept the corrupt Alexandrian Bible revisions into the churches. The New World
Order is forming today, and the spirit of Antichrist has crept into most of
the churches. The average ministerial student is completely oblivious to the
truth...

studying for the Ministry of the Christian religion can have the TRUTH
withheld from them, and ordained ministers, who learn the TRUTH can be forced
by their superiors to keep silence, the Devil has made tremendous strides in
developing the Luciferian conspiracy towards its final goal.”

Gambling, Booze And Smoking Are Of The
Devil
It is not
a coincidence that there is an epidemic of self-mutilation, tattoos, drug
abuse and alcoholism throughout America today. Marijuana is about to become a
legalized multi-billion-dollar industry in Seattle, Washington. Under Moody's
new policy, anything goes! Colorado has has legalized marijuana. Medical
marijuana is just the foot in the door. America is going to Hell. You cannot
have a Bible college without morals. The Bible is our moral benchmark, upon
which every legitimate court system is based. God is against drinking beer,
smoking cigarettes and gambling (which has always been associated with evil
and harm).
What
Moody calls “culture” really translates to the sinful world...
Of course, at
Moody it’s the grown-ups who now have permission to drink, not the students.
But the school is part of a clear trend, in which evangelical colleges try
to stay in step with the culture, however gingerly. And these small changes
are often prompted by students. For example, both Wheaton College, outside
Chicago, and John Brown University, in Arkansas,
ended dancing bans in part because of pressure
from students.
