Just Shut Up and Get On the Ark!

Luke 17:27, “They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

Noah and his family were saved from the flood by getting on the ark, period. The ark is a symbol of salvation. They didn't have to amend their ways, promise to do better in the future, give up the world, make a commitment to Christ nor reform. No, they simply got on the ark before the door was shut and the rains began to fall. This is the simplicity of salvation which is in Christ Jesus.

What is the Biblical Gospel?

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

So many religious scholars and pastors make salvation hard, but it's as simple as getting on the ark. Jesus DIED on the cross for our sins, He was BURIED, and He bodily RESURRECTED three days later, paying for our sins with His own literal blood. This is “the Gospel.” A person simply needs to acknowledge their guilt of sin before God and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL [GOOD NEWS] of the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Salvation is as simple as getting on the ark. Simply admit that you are a guilty sinner in the sight of a holy God (Romans 3:19), and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL by faith, and you will be saved immediately, securely and permanently.

Just as Noah and his family boarded the ark and were saved by God, even so has God promised “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” the Gospel (1st Corinthians 1:21). The Gospel is our ark. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), paid for by Christ's sacrifice on the cross and shed blood (1st Peter 1:18-19). Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved. Thank God the Father for the gift of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ! If any sinner will receive the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross as full-payment for their sins, they will be saved immediately!

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
