Right Doctrine Matters!

2nd Timothy 4:2-3, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”

       When I attended Hyles-Anderson College for eight years (1985-1993), I didn't know what Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) meant when he said the real battle was between the evangelical crowd and fundamentalists. That was only because I had been around fundamentalists my whole saved life at that point. I had never met an evangelical Christian yet (not that I was aware of). As time passed after graduating HAC in 1993, I did meet some evangelicals, but I wouldn't fully grasp what Brother Hyles meant, until I attended the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam for one year in 2014, and became familiar with the Bob Jones' camp. Harvest is a cesspool of shameful Bob Jones University's (BJU) alumni.

“This isn't over Jack Hyles, this is over fundamentalism! These are evangelicals fighting fundamentalists—that's what it's all about; and their effort is to destroy Hyles-Anderson College. Over my dead body they'll destroy Hyles-Anderson College; and their effort is to destroy the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana; and I'll go to the finish before I'll let it happen! That's what's going on!” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a truthful quote from the needful sermon, “Weathering The Storm!”

Tragically, Dr. Hyles own son-in-law destroyed the church and college! Just seven years after Pastor Jack Hyles went to Heaven in 2001, his successor in 2008 denied the inspiration of the King James Bible (basically hanging a Bob Jones University sign on the church and college). The First Baptist Church of Hammond has never recovered, and consequently neither has Hyles-Anderson College (which they own and control). They are moving forward like nothing happened, but something horrible, monumental and devastating has happened, and they are in denial about it. My God, they've denied the inspiration of the King James Bible!!! It is a very big deal, so big that Dr. Hyles in 1994 called it: “THE BATTLE OF THE AGES!” Pastor Hyles himself warned that Bob Jones University makes light of the verbal inspiration of the Bible! ...

That is why BJU today supports, sells and bids Godspeed to the multiple different Bible revisions, which horribly contradict each other in hundreds of places. They make light on verbal inspiration. Dr. Hyles further states about the apostasy at Bob Jones University...

“Oh what does it mean! Brother Hyles, so what—a preacher boy goes down to Bob Jones University, and he sits in Dr. Custer's class, and Dr. Custer says we have no perfect Bible—what difference does it make? It makes all the difference in the world! And what you'd better do is take this Book, rather than some institution to which you subscribe your loyalty—what you better do is you better stop and realize that if you don't have a perfect English Bible, we cannot live, because man cannot live alone, but by every Word which proceedeth out of the mouth of the Father. Every Word up there has to get to us!” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a quote from my 4:19 hour YouTube video titled: 'THE BATTLE OF THE AGES.'

If BJU took the inspiration of the Holy Bible seriously, they could never sanction multiple Bible revisions, because God only authored one Book! BJU doesn't believe that we have a perfect Holy Bible today. Instead, they promote and sanction many Bible revisions!!! That makes no sense at all. Right doctrine matters! Therefore, having the right Bible matters! Look at what the Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) does to corrupt Mark 1:15, drastically changing what it means to repent for salvation. The ERV preaches another gospel!!! Harvest Baptist Church on Guam uses the ERV! They might as well be Jehovah's Witnesses! Right doctrine is a fact. The word “heresy” literally means “an opinion.” Any opinion that contradicts the Word of God is heresy! There is no controversy if you believe the Bible!!!

Pastor Steven Anderson Refutes Dr. James White's lame attack Against The King James Bible (you should really listen to this 10 part series). Pastor Anderson is so right, saying that God's Word wasn't hidden in the earth for 1,800 years! All of these corrupt Bible versions today are translated from Brooke Westcott's and Fenton Hort's Alexandrian Greek manuscripts, which they presented to the world in 1881. They claimed the newly discovered manuscripts from Egypt were older and more reliable than our beloved King James Bible (based on the Textus Receptus). Do you really believe that God's better and more reliable texts were buried in the earth for the past 1,800 years! God promised in Psalms 12:6-7 to preserve His PURE WORDS forever! Not surprisingly, all of the modern perversions corrupt this Bible passage, changing it to refer to God protecting the saints rather than preserving His pure Words! It is wickedness!!! How stupid can people be?
 

Outside The Gate With Jesus

During my time at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, I felt loved, and they won my heart. I enjoyed the Watchcare meetings (the fellowship, singing, ukuleles, Bible studies, and food we shared). I loved the people in the church and the atmosphere in general. But after several months of seeing umpteen Bible versions, hearing Lordship Salvation taught from the pulpit, and seeing Dr. John MacArthur's study materials passed out to church members, I became burdened to help the church see the truth. I was a fundamentalist in a neo-evangelical church, and I had no idea at the beginning.

Now I was in a dilemma, wanting to help the people that I loved, but they didn't want to be helped! By the time I realized who they were, it was too late and the damage was done. Their ungodly pastors wanted nothing to do with me. Their shameful senior pastor literally said from the pulpit (while looking at me) that: “Once people are offended and feelings are hurt, it's over!” That is one of the most shameful, carnal and horrible things I have ever heard a pastor say. He might as well have admitted that he was a henpecked wimp! I offended some snobs in your cult? It's too late? I'm done with? What the hell kind of pastor throws people away? If he were a true man of God, he would have taught God's flock (the congregation) to love and forgive one another, as the Bible teaches (Ephesians 4:30-32). I am not the bad guy, they are!!! Hell will freeze over before I ever shut up! The Devil wants us to SHUT UP, but God wants us to SPEAK UP! Ironically, I heard that on Harvest's KHMG 88.1 FM radio station on Guam. When a Christian tells THE TRUTH, and is rebuked, shunned and ostracized for it, something needs to be said! We'll, I'm speaking up for God!
 

Right Doctrine Matters

I am blown away in my mind over what is going on today at Bob Jones University. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. NEVER in a million years would have honored, supported, or bid Godspeed to an infidel preacher like Pastor John MacArthur. Read what Dr. Bob Jones Sr. said for yourself:

“Young people, you can't buy salvation. You can't pay for it after you get it. But if you don't already have it, you can have it. Somebody is giving it away around here. His name is Jesus and He wants to give you salvation.

Before I stop I will use an illustration I have used many times here at the college.  Maybe those of you who have heard it have forgotten it.

Do you see this quarter? I want to give it to you. But I am a peculiar man. I just give away quarters one way. I put a quarter in a book, shut the book, and offer you the book. You don't want the book? Well, all right, you can't have my quarter, then. I have a right to put the quarter in any sort of package I wish. You, of course, have the privilege of rejecting the quarter.

God has something He wants to give you. It is eternal life. He wrapped it in the most wonderful package you ever heard of. He put it in Jesus. People looked at Jesus. He had no form or comeliness; there wasn't anything about Him to be desired. And they didn't realize what was wrapped up in that package. They put Jesus on a cross. They nailed Him there. They killed Him. Then He rose from the dead, and He has been scarred ever since that time. If you could see Jesus today, the glorified, risen Son of God, you would find scars on His brow and scars in His hands. If you could look at His side you would find a wound there. His feet are scarred. But, say, He has wrapped in Himself a wonderful gift. God gives you eternal life when you take Him. Amen and amen! That was so simply, beautifully and eloquently said. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. preached the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). Now take a look at the crap Dr. Steve Pettit (BJU president since 2014) is teaching. Take a look at the crap Bob Jones University is teaching. Bob Jones Sr. would blow the college up today, and he said so himself!!! BJU and their alumni are going to Hell, for trusting in a perverted gospel of “turning from sins” and Lordship Salvation to be saved, which is another gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). Bob Jones Sr. rightly and beautifully taught that eternal life is God's gift wrapped in the wonderful package of Jesus!!! That is NOT what BJU's president, faculty, students and graduates are preaching today! They are preaching another gospel!!! God's curse is upon them!

Notice again what Dr. Bob Jones Sr. plainly teaches his students: “Young people, you can't buy salvation.” Now look at what Pastor John MacArthur teaches (whom Dr. Steve Pettit praises, is buddies with and sinfully bids Godspeed to):

“Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God His own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing...” [emphasis added]

Cost you? Do you see the problem? Dr. Bob Jones Sr. understood that God's gift of eternal life is freely received, but false prophet Dr. John MacArthur says you must pay the price for salvation! MacArthur says it will COST YOU!!! What a lying false prophet!!! Why does BJU's president and college support this wicked imposter in the pulpit? It is tragically because they agree with him. Bob Jones University preaches another gospel.

I am sad that the church family I once loved and enjoyed being with at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, has totally rejected and turned me away for the past six years since 2014, counting me as their enemy because I told them THE TRUTH. The apostle Paul had the same painful experience (Galatians 4:16). Now more than ever I finally fully understand what Pastor Jack Hyles meant, when he said that this battle is not about Jack Hyles, and it's not about little ole me, it's over fundamentalism! These are evangelicals fighting fundamentalists—that's what it's all about!
