Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
The Inspired Word Of God
The Bible does not contain the words of God; but rather, THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD! God authored the Bible, every word. This is what “inspired” means, that is, “God breathed.” Hence, God is the author of the Bible and not mankind. Men were merely the pens, as spoken by king David who said in Psalms 45:1, “My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” 2nd Peter 1:21, “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” The Spirit of God came upon those holy men, causing them to write the Bible. Please understand that God didn't choose holy men; but rather, God chose sinful men and then made them holy. All God has to work with are imperfect men. Amen for that!
I began this important article on Christ's virgin birth by emphasizing the importance of recognizing the Bible as inspired of God. The reason why is quite obvious, that is, unless a person believes God authored the Bible, nothing else really matters. When a person asks me questions about the Bible, my first response is always to ask them if they believe the Bible? If not, then we need go no further. The debate over the virgin birth of Jesus Christ is really an issue over whether or not the Bible is the inspired Word of God, Who cannot lie. If the Bible is God's Word, then there is no controversy, because the Bible plainly teaches that Jesus is the virgin born Son of almighty God. Do you believe that God authored the Bible? I DO!!!

2nd John 1:9, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
The “Doctrine of Christ” includes all of the fundamental Biblical teachings concerning Jesus. The doctrine of the virgin birth is a fundamental doctrine (a foundational doctrine) of the Christian faith. The virgin birth is part of the doctrine of Christ. The following passage of Scripture plainly teaches the virgin birth of Jesus...
Luke 1:26-35, “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
Notice carefully in Luke 1:34-35 (which you just read) that the Bible plainly teaches that Jesus had no earthly father, without mentioning the word “virgin” in this particular passage. Thus, even if Isaiah 7:14 were a mistranslation (which it is not) as Dr. Stavrakopoulou alleges in the series, there is still irrefutable Biblical evidence for Christ's virgin birth in other passages, such as Luke 1:34-35. Jesus is the virgin born Son of almighty God, which makes Him 100% equal with God the Father. This is what the inspired, inerrant, infallible, preserved Word of God teaches. John 10:33, “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh and the Jews tried to murder Him for it. The greatest attack which Satan can make against man is to convince him that Jesus was not virgin born; thus, He couldn't possibly be God, nor risen from the dead, and therefore cannot offer salvation to humanity.

And again we read concerning the virgin birth in Matthew 1:23...
Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
There is no controversy my friend if you believe that the Bible is authored by God. Most people who reject the Bible have never tried to understand it; but rather, pick up on a few verses here and there that they use in a sinful attempt to justify unbelief and wickedness. Most people who reject the Bible have only listened to other unbelievers; such as Bill Maher, George Carlin and Stephen Hawkings, using their same biased, lame and unscholarly arguments. If those people would sincerely research Biblical prophesy, history and archaeology to name a few subjects, then they'd see the truth. Science evidences an intelligent and omnipotent Creator. The impossibility of life itself testifies of a divine Maker. Every time that I study the universe, the planets and the stars, I am humbled and my faith strengthened in God. But if you focus on this evil world's problems, sorrows and coldness, you'll sink into the sea as did Peter who took his eyes off Jesus (Mark 14:29-30).

The Wisdom Of Man Is His Own Worst Enemy
Proverbs 16:25, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” The biggest mistake you'll ever make in life my friend is to foolishly lean upon your own human understanding instead of trusting the Bible. Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”I'd like to know when/if the History Channel is going to do a series on the Koran? I’m sure a “Lost in Translation” episode would work there too. An episode on “The Real Muhammad” would be great also. How about a series titled, “Secrets of the Koran.” I’d love to see that. Why don't we see some critical Islamic scholars from secular state universities place the same unfair and biased scrutiny upon Islam and the Quran as they do Christianity and the Bible? I'll tell you why, because Satan is the god of this evil world and he BLINDS the minds of unbelievers. 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The Devil's intent is to keep the lost in darkness, to hinder them from coming to the light of the glorious gospel to be saved by faith in Jesus, Who is THE VIRGIN BORN SON OF GOD, THE CHRIST. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
“Bible Secrets Revealed” are all a pack of lies from Satan. The Bible is the true Word of God and God doesn’t lie. Only true Christians know and understand the Bible and the people who think they know all the answers are relying on their own worldly wisdom, not God’s. 1st Corinthians 1:21, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”I hear so many people expressing their frustrations that they pray and God doesn't answer. Others, who are unbelievers, say that if God exists, then why doesn't He simply reveal Himself to mankind. They miss the whole point of faith. Romans 1:20 teaches, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” God has made the universe in such a way that any honest person can CLEARLY SEE the things of God. Unbelievers choose not to believe. To him that believeth, no explanation is necessary; but to him that believeth not, no explanation is possible. The existence of a good, omnipotent and intelligent divine Creator is proclaimed magnificently in all of nature, science and the universe. Only a spiritually blind person fails to see God.
Even more wonderful is the fact that God hasn't left us to guess, wonder or figure out Who He is or what He expects from us to please Him. God has authored the precious Bible. The Lord has laid out the big picture in the Bible—the past, present and future of mankind and beyond—all of history encapsulated in Biblical prophecy. And never forget that the purpose of all prophecy is to testify of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 19:10, “...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” Always look for Jesus in the Bible as you read, study and search the holy Scriptures!
When we pray, God won't usually answer in visible ways. He doesn't need to. For the same reason that God doesn't openly reveal Himself in nature, he also answers our prayers in a manner that transcends our human, limited and finite understanding. I have learned simply to pray and then trust God, for that is what we are commanded to do. 1st Thessalonians 5:17 teaches to “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.” That is our responsibility. We are to bring everything to the Lord in prayer (Philippians 4:6-7). Most people pray and then quit when they don't receive immediate, visible and expected results. Prayer doesn't work that way because God doesn't work that way.
God's ways are far above man's ways, as we learn in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” God wants us to trust Him. It pleases the Lord greatly when we keep praying despite not seeing any visible answer. Hebrews 11:6 teaches that without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. Notice that it is not difficult; but rather, absolutely IMPOSSIBLE. If you grasp this Biblical truth, then it becomes very clear why God doesn't answer our prayers in obvious, detectable and observable ways. Ah, but over time, as the years unfold, in hindsight we eventually see how the hand of God was working all the time in response to our prayers. Prayer works, one way or another, prayer works!

Jesus Is Almighty God!
It's not difficult to believe that Jesus was born without a human father if you understand and believe that Jesus came forth from God the Father. How could Jesus come forth from God the Father and not Himself be God too? Of course Jesus is God, because God is His biological Father, not Joseph. The evil Jewish Talmud sinfully teaches that a Roman soldier raped Mary which conceived Christ. I never hear Baptist preachers exposing the evils of Judaism, but they should, regularly. The Talmud is satanic, also teaching that Jesus went to Hell to be bathed in excrement and urine!!! Sadly, some foolish preachers sinfully support Jewish texts and manuscripts that blaspheme the holy Lord Jesus Christ. The wicked Jews rejected Jesus' deity in His time (John 10:33), and nearly all Jews still reject the Messiah today 2,000 years later, which requires attacking and denying Christ's virgin birth, deity and miraculous bodily resurrection from the dead. This is why the sinful History Channel is always attacking the Lord's virgin birth. They hate the Lord!
The King James Bible translators were very honest and scholarly in their work, even putting words in italics that they added to clarify the meaning in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek. In John 8:24, the masculine pronoun “he” is in italics, which means the literal translation is...
John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I AM he, ye shall die in your sins.”
The Bible mentions I AM in Exodus 3:13-14...
Exodus 3:13-14, “And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
Clearly, Jesus was claiming to be God. This is evidenced in John 10:32-33...
“Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
If you still want absolute solid proof of Christ's claim of deity, then read John 8:57-58...
John 8:57-58,“Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Here again we see that Jesus professed to be the “I AM” of Exodus 3:14. Jesus is almighty God!!!

Some time ago an evangelist traveling was singing to himself the song, ”I'm Redeemed.” A fellow passenger, hearing, joined him in the song.
