I was intrigued when I discovered
the strange world of cryonics, which is the science of freezing human
bodies and heads. Increasingly, celebrities and wealthy people upon death are
having their decapitated heads, or complete bodies, frozen upside down in
liquid nitrogen to preserve them. Their hope is that one day, when technology
advances in hundreds of years, future scientists will be able to restore their
life. Weird huh? This is how the unsaved world thinks. Christians have a very
different mindset, “willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be
present with the Lord” (2nd Corinthians 5:8).
I recently found a “Signs Of The Times” magazine published by Seventh-day Adventists. Toward the back of the issue I found tips on how to add 10-years to your life (eating nuts, maintaining proper weight, not smoking, exercise and be a vegetarian). There's nothing wrong with healthy living, but what about eternal life? That sounds much better to me. I hear so many people talking about extending this earthly life, but they have no concern for their soul when they depart from the human body at death.
Please don't make the mistake of planning only for this earthly life, but it will be over before you know it, and then the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Death is inescapable. I love Alex Jones, but I don't think he is correct when he says the Illuminati will one day be able to live forever in a human body. God won't allow that to happen, which is why he placed Cherubims to prevent fallen man from ever re-entering the Garden of Eden, lest he live forever. Genesis 3:24, “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” When Adam sinned, he brought sin and death into the world (Romans 5:12). Romans 6:23 teaches that the wages of our sins is death. All men must die, there is no escape (Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:7).
Thankfully, God sent His only begotten Son into the world, Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and bodily raised up from the dead three days later, so that we could escape the Second Death in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:6). Our text Bible verse from John 3:16 is a promise from God, PROMISING eternal life to anyone who BELIEVE on the Son of God. It is tragic that so many unsaved people, who personally reject Jesus as the Christ, place all their hope in cryonics instead of the Gospel. My friend, you can have eternal life, as a free gift from God (Romans 5:15; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10), just by receiving it through faith alone in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9; Romans 10:3-4; John 20:31; Galatians 3:26). Why spend your time, money and hopes to extend your earthly life, yet fail to accept the free gift of eternal life from God? Please do not be deceived, you will go to burn in Hell forever if you do not get saved (Revelation 20:11-15; John 8:24; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9). The choice is yours alone to make.
Gene Roddenberry, the creator of the popular TV series, Star Trek, was an outspoken atheist, as is William Shatner (who starred as “Captain James T. Kirk”). Leonard Nimoy (who played “Spock”) openly rejected Jesus as the Christ. If you believe the Holy Bible, then you know that all of these men have no hope outside of Jesus Christ. What will you decide? Please don't end up in Hell with atheists: comedian George Carlin, The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling, and actor Elizabeth Taylor. They had their chance, but they chose to reject the love, mercy and grace of God. They all refused to come to Jesus Christ. It's not too late for you friend. END
