Our Great And Savior Knows What Is Best

Romans 8:26-28, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

I heard these beautiful edifying words on Sunday at our annual church revival...

       I asked for strength,
And God gave me difficulties to make me strong;

       I asked for wisdom,
And God gave me problems to solve;

       I asked for courage,
And God gave me dangers to overcome;

       I asked for patience,
And God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait;

       I asked for love,
And God gave me troubled people to help;

       I asked for favors,
And God gave me opportunities.

       I asked for everything so I could enjoy life,
instead He gave me life so I could enjoy everything.
