| Lester L. Roloff was born on June 28, 1914 in Dawson, Texas. He grew up from humble beginnings there on a cotton farm. At the age of 12, he was saved, and at the age of 18, he surrendered to the Lord's call to preach the King James Bible. He graduated from Baylor University and attended Southwestern Seminary for nearly three years. During this time, he pastored two part-time churches. He then pastored four full-time churches before the Lord led him, in 1951, to become a full-time evangelist. Brother Roloff then started boys and girls homes in Corpus Christi, Texas, for delinquent youth whom the parents, courts and society didn't know what to do with. Thousands of troubled young people's lives were delivered from destruction by the miraculous transforming power of the Gospel, and the Christian love and godly discipline they received at the Roloff Homes. Brother Roloff regularly preached the truth in local prisons, and was perhaps America's greatest saint of the 20th century. Thank God for Lester Roloff!!! |
