One Scripture That Ought to Change Every Believer's Life

The two greatest commandments in the Bible are really just one, that is, TO LOVE!!! The Lord taught that the greatest two commandments in the Bible are to love God and to love our neighbor as our self. Galatians 5:14, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Jesus taught us to LOVE:
Matthew 22:35-40, “Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
If we ever learn to seriously take the Bible to heart, we will begin to esteem others as being BETTER than our self. The heathen world will tell you to consider others as being EQUAL, but the Bible teaches us to esteem others as being BETTER than us. I dare say a in 25,000 people actually think this way. God wants us to cultivate a spiritual mindset that causes us to become humble, meek, lowly, caring and loving toward others. Proverbs 13:10, “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” Only by pride cometh divorce. Only by pride cometh Lordship Salvation. Only by pride cometh multiple Bible versions. These evils only come by pride, because it is pride that causes men not to heed THE TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS!!! Proverbs 12:17, “He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.”
Most people do not know what it means to truly love someone. Love is not a feeling as the dictionary says. God's love is not a feeling of fondness; but rather, it is unconditional love. God loves you and I because of Who He is, and not because of who we are. Amen! Likewise, we ought to love everyone unconditionally with God's unconditional love. We ought to love God at all times, whether things are going good or our life is in shambles and everything is going wrong. And we ought to love people regardless of how they treat us and what they think about us. Love never fails.
I realize that such teaching may seem like advanced Christianity 101, but it's really the most basic and fundamental of all teachings in the Bible. I don't care how much you know the Scriptures, you are a lousy Christian if you fail to love God and people. We should continually pray for God to help us love others. Love is not selfish and does not seek its own. Love is willing to take a loss, suffer and let someone cut in front of you in the store. Love is esteeming others better than myself. Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.”
James 1:22, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
