Beware of Dr. Sam Gipp's Denial of the Inspiration of the King James Bible!

by David J. Stewart | December 2016

Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Ladies and gentleman, if we are to live by “EVERY WORD” that proceedeth forth from God's mouth, then we need an “EVERY WORD BIBLE”!!! Amen! I believe with all my heart that we have every word of God in the beloved, perfect and inspired, KING JAMES BIBLE. And may I kindly say, the King James Bible is not a “version,” it is THE BOOK!!! The King James Bible is the blood-sprinkled Book!

I was watching some YouTube videos today and heard Evangelist Sam Gipp deny the inspiration of the King James Bible. Respectfully, for a so-called “expert” on the King James Bible, I'm not very impressed that he denies its inspiration. Any sincere child of God knows it's mother when he or she sees it! I greatly appreciate all of the helpful writings and sermon videos by Brother Gipp defending the King James Bible, and his valiant fight to expose the modern Alexandrian PERversions. Yet, to deny the inspiration of the King James Bible is THE DEVIL'S FOOT IN THE DOOR!!!

If you speak English and are saved, you got saved from a King James Bible, or else you didn't get saved! 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” We can only be born anew from INCORRUPTIBLE WORD. All of the modern Bible revisions are CORRUPTIBLE WORD, and are of the Devil!!!

The big debate is over the meaning of “inspiration” itself. Respectfully, Evangelist Sam Gipp, Dr. Pastor Jack Schaap, Cartoonist Jack Chick, Crown College, Bob Jones University, Hyles-Anderson College and others, understand inspiration to apply to the process of God giving His words to man. Therefore, they don't believe that the King James Bible is inspired. In sharp contrast, Pastor Jack Hyles, Dr. Shelton Smith, Dr. James Sightler, Dr. Russell Anderson, Dr. Gail Riplinger, Evangelist Allen Domelle, and myself (humbly), understand inspiration to apply to the very words themselves, which are God-breathed. Thus, we do believe that the King James Bible is inspired. If God's words are inspired, then they continue to be inspired when copied in a translation. But if inspiration only applies to the actual breathing-out of those words, then only the original autographs can be inspired. This is the big debate.

The Inspiration of God Almighty Giveth Understanding

I can clear up the matter with a helpful Old Testament Scripture. Please notice the wonderful Bible verse in Job 32:8, “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” This Scripture says so much! Most people think of a human being as body, soul and spirit. But that's backwards. The Bible says in 1st Thessalonians 5:23, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The holy Bible lists the “spirit” first. Man is not a body with a spirit; but rather, a spirit with a body. When the tabernacle (tent) of the body is no longer able to be a home for the soul, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

Now notice again Job 32:8. Think of the word “inspiration” here as “IN-SPIRIT,” that is, God's Holy Spirit giving understanding to man's spirit. The word “inspiration” here in the Hebrew means “wind or breath,” that is, the breath of God. Genesis 1:1-2, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The Bible is “inspired” because of God's Holy Spirit that makes it alive. To help us grasp this important truth, please notice that the exact same Hebrew word for “inspiration” is used in the following Scriptures (and there are many other Scripture passages, I just chose these three). I have underlined the word that uses the same Hebrew word for “inspiration” in Job 32:8 ...

Proverbs 20:27, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”

Psalms 150:6, “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

Genesis 2:7, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

Hence, we clearly see that “inspiration” refers to the breath and Holy Spirit of God, which gives men understanding. In particular, carefully consider Genesis 2:7. When God breathed life into Adam's dead flesh, man “BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” Likewise, when we refer to the King James Bible being “inspired,” it refers to God breathing life into His words, which is why Jesus said they are living words in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” THEY ARE SPIRIT... INSPIRED!!! It is God's Holy Spirit which breathes life into His words. Therefore, the King James Bible absolutely MUST be inspired, otherwise they are dead words!!! If you understand the precious truth that I just taught you, you'll never question the inspiration of the beloved King James Bible again. How ridiculous and unscholarly it is, for any Bible student to claim that only the original autographs were inspired.

Notice again that God breathed life into man in Genesis 2:7. THAT IS INSPIRATION!!! The word “breath” in Genesis 2:7 is the EXACT SAME WORD as “inspiration” in Job 32:8!!! Now, from Adam until today, human beings continue to be conceived, by the giving of life which only God can give. Isaiah 44:2, “Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.” God didn't just breath life into Adam and then that's it! Rather, God forms every child in the womb. Only God can make conception possible. God closes and opens the wombs of women at His will. Genesis 20:18, “For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.” Genesis 29:31, “And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.” Likewise, God breathes life into His words. It is silly to view inspiration as a one time thing, that only applies to the originals. That is absurd!!! Just as God gives life to all humanity, and not just to Adam; so also does God give life to His words in whatsoever language they are translated, providing they are accurate.

As Evangelist Allen Domelle correctly teaches in his excellent article, “The Battle For God's Word” (.pdf), languages are not inspired, God's words are inspired!!! The words themselves are inspired. Inspiration does not refer merely to a process, otherwise only Adam would be a living soul. God does not preserve the life He breathed into Adam; but rather, God breathes that same breath of life into every human being that has ever been born. And likewise, God continually breathes His breath into His words!!! The King James Bible is inspired because they are God's words, and God's words have always been inspired. They are quick and alive!!! Hebrews 4:12 proclaims, Hebrews 4:12a, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful...” God's words are alive!!! They are alive because of the Holy Spirit that breathes through them upon man's spirit. Sam Gipp denies the inspiration of the King James Bible. Therefore, I must expose Mr. Gipp as a false prophet!!!

There are many preachers today who continually correct alleged mistakes in the King James Bible. They all cite the satanic Alexandrian manuscripts (i.e., Westcott and Hort), to some limited degree, as being a better translation. Most of them are good men. Many of them are loyal pastors to their congregations. Albeit, by critiquing the King James Bible they are effectively saying that we do not have God's Word today! If only the original autographs were perfect and inspired, then we're in trouble, because we cannot live by “EVERY WORD OF GOD” as Matthew 4:4 commands!!! There are no original manuscripts available today. There are no originals today. Due to constant use, the original manuscripts became worn and dog-eared, so the scribes destroyed them! Consequently, we only have copies of copies of the originals.

And may I kindly say, the King James Bible is not a “version,” it is THE BOOK!!! The King James Bible is the blood-sprinkled Book!

When you read a book authored by a man, a man's spirit is breathing upon your spirit; but when you read THE BOOK authored by God almighty, the Holy Spirit of God breathes upon your spirit. This is why Jesus said in John 6:63b, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” If the King James Bible has spirit and life—IT MUST BE INSPIRED!!! Don't let any dingaling college professor or wayward preacher deceive you my friend—THE BELOVED KING JAMES BIBLE IS INSPIRED BY GOD!!!!!!!

If God has kept His solemn promise in Psalms 12:6-7 to preserve His pure words (as silver tried in a furnace of earth seven times) unto every generation, then we have a perfect and inspired Bible somewhere in this world today. I believe that we have THE BOOK in the blessed King James Bible. More than anything else, I have made many enemies amongst churches and Bible colleges all across the United States. They despise my preaching because I am proclaiming THE TRUTH!!! Even my home college at Hyles-Anderson (controlled by the beloved First Baptist Church of Hammond) has sold out to the intelligencia, denying the inspiration of the King James Bible. Whereas Brother Hyles once championed the inspired King James Bible (awesome MP3 sermon, “THE BATTLE OF THE AGES”), now they only use it and no longer proclaim its inspiration. I am numb and shocked that FBCH AND HAC sold-out so fast, doing exactly what Dr. Hyles warned that the Devil would do!!! If you deny the inspiration of the King James Bible, you are no friend to God's Word. If God's Holy Spirit still breathes to man's spirit through the King James Bible, THEN IT ABSOLUTELY MUST BE INSPIRED!!!!!!! That is inspiration my friend!!!

John 4:24 teaches that God is a Spirit. Man is a spirit with a body. Therefore, God's living words influence the spirit of man, because they are INSPIRED words. Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” That is what is meant by God's Word being “inspired.” They are God's quickened (alive) words, which speak to men in a manner that no other book ever written can do. THEY ARE GOD'S WORDS!!! John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Did you get that important truth? GOD'S WORDS ARE SPIRIT!!! THEY ARE LIFE!!!

When a man authors a book, those words are passive words. But God is the Author of the holy Bible, and His words are dynamic words, living words, inspired words. There is a spirit in man, and the Holy Spirit of God lives through His Words in the Scriptures. Revelation 19:13, “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”

God gave His Word to mankind, through holy men of old, as God put His words into their mouths. 2nd Peter 1:21, “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” ...

Numbers 12:8, “With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”

Isaiah 51:16, “And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.”

Ezekiel 2:1:-2, “And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.”

Notice carefully the following Scripture: 2nd Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Notice that the stated purpose for God giving the inspired Scriptures is so that God's man may be perfect (complete), throughly furnished (to equip fully) unto all good works. So that means if we don't have God's inspired Scripture today, the man of God cannot be fully equipped to serve God.

Please read, “Inspiration: Temporal Or Eternal” (an excellent KJB defense by Dr. James Sightler).

Also, please listen to, “How We Got God's Words” (an excellent MP3 Bible study by Pastor Jack Hyles).

A man with two watches never really knows what time it is; And a man with two Bibles never really knows what the Word of God is.

The King James Bible is Inspired!!!

The dumbest thing I've ever heard is that the original autographs of the Bible were inspired, and God preserved those words, but the words that God preserved aren't inspired. This is what Dr. Sam Gipp errantly teaches! This is what the First Baptist Church of Hammond, and consequently, Hyles-Anderson College errantly teach. When Dr. Jack Hyles was their pastor, he championed the King James Bible and proclaimed it's inspiration (until his graduation to Heaven in 2001). Tragically, since 2008 FBCH and HAC have denied the inspiration of the King James Bible. It breaks my heart that ungodly tares always creep into God's work and destroy it!

Satan is behind the denial of the inspiration of the King James Bible!!! Crown College also denies the inspiration of the King James Bible. This is what Bob Jones University (formerly Bob Jones College) errantly teaches! This is what Pensacola Christian College errantly teaches! Shame on any preacher, church or Bible college that denies the inspiration of the King James Bible!!! Folks, if I didn't believe that the holy Bible that I hold in my hand in perfect, pure, infallible, inerrant and INSPIRED, I'd throw it into my garage pail and go live in the world!!!

I thank God for faithful men such as Dr. James Sightler (Dr. Harold Sightler's son), and Dr. Shelton Smith (editor of the Sword of the Lord), Evangelist Allen Domelle, Pastor Al Lacy and Brother Hyles, to name but a few, who stand firmly for the inspiration of the King James Bible!!!

I have nothing personally against Sam Gipp. I like reading his articles. I highly recommend reading his helpful book defending the King James Bible, titled THE ANSWER BOOK. I love the book, except that Brother Gipp denies the inspiration of our beloved King James Bible. Since he is a recognized authority on the King James Bible, Christians and churches listen to him, and sadly adopt his denial of the inspiration of the King James Bible. Case in point is cartoonist, Jack Chick, whose website quotes Sam Gipp's errant views on inspiration verbatim, word for word.

I agree with over 95% of what Dr. Gipp teaches. I like to listen to his preaching, because he speaks with boldness as a Gospel preacher should. But to deny the inspiration of God's Word is a major theological error! If a man is wrong on the holy Bible, he's wrong on everything! I'm not saying not to listen to Sam Gipp, I'm just warning you about his error, so that you won't be misled by him on inspiration. Dr. Gipp does provide much helpful information for King James Bible only believers. Yet, I cannot think of anything more discouraging and hurtful to a Christian, than for someone to convince them that the Bible isn't inspired by God. What a wicked thing to do to a church congregation!!! How dare any professed “man of God” teach others that we don't have God's inspired words today. What good is preservation without inspiration??? To have one, you MUST have the other!!!

I've been accused by deadbeat neo-evangelical Baptist pastors of causing confusion and divisiveness in their church (It's not God's church, that's for sure). The truth is that they are already a house divided, having dozens of Bible versions in the pews on any given Sunday. The church official uses TWO different Bible versions. GET RIGHT WITH GOD!!! A man with two watches never really knows what time it is; And a man with two Bibles never really knows what the Word of God is!!! The perversion in America today is a direct result of the PERverted Bible revisions in the churches!!! We don't have God's Word anymore in the churches! Consequently, the churches have lost their authority!!! The authority of the Church is the inspired Word of God!!! People don't fear God anymore, because they don't hear Bible preaching, and the churches have gone back, lagging behind, ruined by prosperity.

I also totally disagree with Dr. Gipp's false teaching that Jesus was not the Messiah. Evidently Brother Gipp never read the following passage of Scripture from John 4:25-26, “The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” Folks, the Bible doesn't get any plainer than that! Jesus openly proclaimed to the Samaritan woman at the well that He is the “MESSIAH”!!! Sam Gipp is teaching heresy!

Again, when you read a book authored by a man, a man's spirit is breathing upon your spirit; but when you read THE BOOK authored by God almighty, the Holy Spirit of God breathes upon your spirit. THE END
