Religion—The Fastest Way To Hell!!!

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

       Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Let me say it again emphatically—RELIGION IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THIS WORLD!!!

I was listening to Evangelist Paul Washer tonight preach a sermon, in which he teaches the following heresy:

“The great majority of people in America, and in the church, believe themselves saved when in fact they are not; and they prove they are not, because although they claim to have walked through that one small gate, they live in the broad way—They look like the world, they act like the world, they talk like the world, and their lifestyle will be the very thing that condemns them on the Day of Judgment!” [emphasis added]

Ladies and gentleman, Paul Washer is preaching ANOTHER GOSPEL. 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” Any plan of salvation that does not agree 100% with God's plan of salvation, that is, THE GOSPEL, is of the Devil.

I'm tired of hearing false prophets say that a person who professes faith in the Gospel is not saved if they are continuing in sin. Did you ever stop to think that many professed Christians who seem to do everything right are lost?

In his excellent book, “I NEVER KNEW YOU,” Michael P. Bowen truthfully states . . .

“You can live for Christ, you can love Christ, you can serve Him with all your might, time, talent and wealth. You can pray to Him, read your Bible, get water-baptized, join a church, witness to people, and do every wonderful work contained within the realm of Christianity, but if you fail to trust Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, He will 'dump' you.”

Why is it that so many ministers; namely, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, John MacArthur, Chip Ingram, John Piper, William Lane Craig, Billy Graham, Paris Reidhead, Aiden Tozer, Franklin Graham, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Unshackled radio, John Hagee, et cetera—all errantly teach that a professed Christian who continues living in sin has never been born-again? Why don't they also teach that faithful churchgoers who tithe, pray, fast, tell others about Jesus, and love God may also not be saved?

The reason is because of man's sinful tendency to work his way into Heaven by good works. Cain tried to impress God with human effort, but God rejected Cain's offering (Genesis 4:3-5). Cornelius in Acts chapter 10 was a good man, who feared God, gave alms to the poor, prayed and fasted, but he was a RELIGIOUS LOST MAN!!! So, as we learn from the holy Scriptures, a person can be lost whether they are living in gross immorality or living an upright moral life!!! A person can be lost and on their way to Hell whether they are a despised convicted criminal or a respectable church pastor (and vise versa, they could be heaven bound).

In the heretical quote I shared with you earlier, Paul Washer states:

“...their lifestyle will be the very thing that condemns them on the Day of Judgment!”

Folks, your lifestyle (or deathstyle) has NOTHING to do with whether or not you go to Heaven when you die.

The apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and said that he only wanted to know ONE THING... Did they believe the Gospel? 1st Corinthians 2:2, “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Galatia and wanted to know only ONE THING... Did they get saved by the works of the law, or BY THE HEARING OF FAITH? Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” There's “the simplicity that is in Christ”—The way to be saved is to simply have faith in the Gospel when you hear it. JUST BELIEVE THE GOSPEL TO BE BORN-AGAIN!!! Yes, it is that simple to be saved. That's why the Bible calls it “the simplicity that is in Christ” in 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4!!! Paul said that all he wanted to know is how they got saved—By doing the WORKS OF THE LAW, or BY BELIEVING THE GOSPEL THAT THEY HAD HEARD. The latter is salvation; the former is damnation!

Repeatedly in the holy Scriptures we are taught that the way to be saved is by BELIEVING the preaching of the Gospel. 1st Corinthians 1:23, “But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.” There is no mention in any of these Scripture passage about “repenting” from sinful ways and behavior. Yes, repentance is absolutely necessary to be saved. If a man didn't repent, he would never come to Jesus Christ (John 3:20). But “repentance” is not reforming, amending or turning away from one's sinful ways; but rather, it is a simple “change of mind” concerning one's status as a sinner, where a person BECOMES GUILTY BEFORE GOD. Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” The only requirement to BELIEVE the Gospel is to admit that you are a guilty sinner in the eyes of a holy God for breaking His law.

The Bible teaches us that lots of sincere religious people do MANY WONDERFUL WORKS, even PREACHING IN JESUS' NAME; yet they go straight to Hell:

The reason why (as you just read) many religious people go to Hell is because they fail to DO THE WILL OF GOD. The Bible tells us exactly what the will of God is:

John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

There you have it—the WILL OF GOD concerning salvation is to BELIEVE on the Son of God, Jesus, the Christ! The Gospel (i.e., Good News) is three things: Christ DIED on the cross for our sins, He was BURIED, and He bodily RESURRECTED three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). BELIEVE it Oh friend and the work is done!!! John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Again, we read nothing about “turning from sins” or of “water baptism” or of “praying a prayer” or of “walking an isle” or of “speaking in tongues” to be saved. We are saved simply by BELIEVING THE GOSPEL!!!

We are plainly taught in Romans 4:5-6 that salvation is WITHOUT WORKS, and that the person who BELIEVES ON CHRIST (i.e., Jesus Who justifies the ungodly) is saved. We are taught that a man's faith (believing) is COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS:

Romans 4:5-6, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.”

Isn't that precious!!! One thing that I have noticed in writings by corrupt Bible teachers (who confuse works with grace) is that they often avoid Romans 4:5-6 in their commentaries. Case in point, Ray Comfort avoids commenting on Romans 4:5-6 in his The Evidence Bible. Evangelist David Cloud also avoids this Scripture passage on his website's library of information. Oswald Chambers in his daily devotional titled, “My Utmost For His Highest,” avoids Romans 4:5-6. I could go on and on. It appears that the false prophets who require “turning away from sin” to be saved all avoid the doctrine of IMPUTATION (Romans 10:3-4; 2nd Corinthians 5:21). Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” The reason why false prophets avoid the doctrine of imputation is obvious, that is, because it proves that a person DOESN'T have to turn away from sinful behavior to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift, paid for by the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1st Peter 1:18-19). Thus, we are saved by God's righteousness, not ours!

Ladies and gentleman, I have just shared with you some powerful Scriptures. Consider again please, Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” That is, did you receive the indwelling Holy Spirit by WORKS or by FAITH? Telling people to turn from their sinful behavior to be saved is effectively the same thing as requiring them to KEEP THE LAW to be saved. Do you see that?

I spoke with someone this week, who said she stood up to testify at her Baptist church that she had led a friend to the Lord. The friend heard the Gospel and gladly received it, believing it. The pastor embarrassed her in front of the congregation by saying, “We'll, we really don't know if she is saved yet.” You see, that bad pastor teaches that people are not really saved unless their behavior and attitude changes, i.e., WORKS!!! They teach “Another Gospel” (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4).

As evidence that this is not Biblical, we learn in Acts 2:41 that 3,000 souls gladly received the Gospel on Pentecost Day when the apostle Peter preached. Some Bible students claim that they were saved because they continued in the apostle's doctrine, prayer and fellowship with the church. However, the Bible plainly tells us that 3,000 souls were saved and added to the church in ONE DAY. It wasn't only after a period of investigation that they were deemed saved, and then added. No, it was IMMEDIATE by faith in the Gospel. If someone professes faith in the Gospel, we ought to give them the benefit of any doubt that THEY ARE SAVED. The reason is because we are saved by BELIEVING, not by LIVING. Paul Washer has it all wrong!!! The only evidence that a person is born-again is the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” Carefully notice in the preceding Bible verse that the evidence of being saved is not keeping God's commandments; but rather, the Holy Spirit Who abides in us. Lot, Samson, Solomon and Demas DIDN'T keep God's commandments.
 

Religion Wants to Fit Us With Glasses, But the Lord Wants to Open Our Eyes

I've laid all of the preceding truth as a foundation for the few words that I have left to say in this article. We began this article with the statement: Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Let me say it again emphatically—RELIGION IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO THIS WORLD!!! Let me expose just a few of the major religions:

1. ROMAN CATHOLICISM - Requires WORKS for salvation; requires keeping the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic church; Mary is worshipped, although every Catholic will deny it; Catholics bow and pray to statues and images of Mary and numerous patron saints, yet they deny that this is worship (They are lying); Catholics sinfully recognize the Pope as God's voice on earth; The Vatican teaches that their priests can forgive men's sins, which is a bold lie; Truly, Catholics teach a false repentance; Catholicism is a prisonhouse of religion, straight out of the pits of Hell beneath!!!
2. SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISM - SDA's are sneaky; SDA's publish some elements of the Gospel in most of their literature, to dupe simple people into thinking they are genuine Christians, but they are not; SDA's weird doctrine of Investigative Judgment 100% inconclusively proves that SDA is a satanic religious cult, who teach WORKS for salvation!; SDA's deny eternal torture in Hell.
3. MORMONS - Sex pervert alert!; Mormonism's core doctrine is that God had physical sex with Mary, and Jesus had multiple wives and children, and he who has the most wives and children wins in Heaven!; If you removed the sex perversion, Mormonism ceases to exist; False prophets like Dr. Ravi Zacharias apologizes to Mormons instead of refuting them; Please read about the thousands of Abandoned boys of Mormonism (they have to kick boys out, so dirty old men can have 4-5 wives each!); DNA evidence proves Joseph Smith is a fraud; Mormons deny that Jesus is God; Water baptism is required for salvation.
4. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES - JW's deny the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is almighty God. Instead they claim that He was only “a god”; JW's deny Christ's bodily resurrection; JW's deny eternal torment in Hell; JW's teach that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers; JW's teach that Michael the archangel became Jesus; JW's require water baptism for salvation; JW's require faith PLUS WORKS for salvation; JW's teach that their satanic Watchtower organization are the only one's serving God on earth.
5. JUDAISM - A Jewish religion which adamantly denies that Jesus is the Messiah (Christ); Judaism's holy book is the Talmud, which permits Jewish rabbis to have sex with 3-year-old girls; The Talmud teaches that Jesus is burning in excrement and urine in Hell forever; The Talmud teaches that a Roman soldier raped Mary, and that's how Jesus was born; Judaism is a satanic religious cult that vehemently hates the Lord Jesus Christ; Freemasonry and Judaism are connected.
6. ISLAM - Muslims adamantly deny that Jesus died on the cross, or that He is the Christ; Islam worships the moon, which is why the crescent moon symbol is prevalent in Islam; Muslims pray five times daily with the cycles of the moon; Muslims cannot face Mecca, Saudi Arabia, while urinating, as taught in their holy book, the Hadith. They have strange rules while using the bathroom. For example: Muslims believe they'll go to Hell if they fail to wash their hands after defecating; The Muslim Koran contains no prophecy, whereas the King James Bible contains 31% prophecy; Islam is straight out of Hell, a false religion of bondage started in the 7th century by a tyrant rapist named Muhammad. Ungodly reprobates like Rick Warren have been sinfully trying to unite Islam with Christianity. Muslims recognize Muhammad as their holy prophet, rejecting Jesus Christ! Allah is a fraud, the moon god! Allah is a myth that in reality does not exist, because Allah has no son according to the Quran (or Koran). God the Father in Christianity has an only begotten Son, Whose precious name is Jesus Christ!!!
7. BUDDHISM - Buddhists deny that Jesus is the Christ!; Buddhism is a satanic religion of devil worship; Sadly, Steve Jobs of Apple Computer was a devout Buddhist and went to Hell forever in his sins; 30% of all non-Asian Buddhists are Jews; Buddhism is more of a philosophy, a way of life, than an organized religion; no strict beliefs are required, so anything goes. Of course, Biblical Christianity is forbidden; Buddhism is highly ecumenical; Buddha is worshipped, although they claim he's not their god; Buddhists pray to statues, asking for favors, which is demonic idolatry; Buddhism offers itself as a substitute for the Gospel.
8. LUTHERAN - Lutherans teach two sacraments instead of the seven of the Catholic hellhole religion; Lutheranism is of the Devil; Lutherans believe that their ministers have the power to forgive sins, which is a big lie; Martin Luther required water baptism and Communism for salvation, meaning he was a false prophet (read his catechisms); Martin Luther is burning in Hell right now!; Lutherans worship Mary!; Please avoid the Lutheran satanic religious cult!!!
9. CHURCH OF CHRIST- Churches of Christ are a satanic religious cult; COC require water baptism for salvation; COC require turning away from sinful behavior to be saved; COC require confessing Christ before men to be saved; COC is a works-based false religion!!!
10. FREEMASONRY - This diabolical satanic cult is responsible for most of the havoc in the United States; Freemasons control the U.S. legal system and U.S. government; Freemasons worship Baphomet, the horned Beast; Freemasonry is preparing the world to receive the Antichrist; Freemasons are the architects of the New World Order, evidenced by their official symbol of a carpenter's square and compass; Freemasonry is a secret society, a sex-perverted cult, rooted in Kabbalistic mysticism; Mormonism is closely associated with Freemasonry, sharing many of their occult rituals; all of the psuedo-Christian false religions are associated with Freemasonry; Freemason kingpin Albert Pike openly admitted that Lucifer is the god of the Freemasons; It is a sin for any Christian man to join the Freemason secret society (one-third of the U.S. Freemasonry membership are southern Baptist men) for many reasons, but it is primarily wrong because praying “in Jesus' name” is strictly FORBIDDEN at lodge meetings; Freemasons instead worship to “The Great Architect,” which is Satan!!!

These are just 10 of the main hellbound religions in the United States and world. Whether it be Evangelist Paul Washer's garbage theology, or the satanic cult of Seventh-day Adventism, Satan blinds men with religion. I could easily write volumes exposing false religions, but that is not necessary. If you know THE TRUTH of the Gospel, the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ, then you are doctrinally invincible against anything the Devil throws at you. Every Christian must gird their loins with THE TRUTH (Ephesians 6:12). Religion is the fastest way to Hell. Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. From the cradle-to-the-casket, the Roman and Orthodox Catholic churches have a religious package for you!

Galatians 3:2 plainly tells us how to be saved, that is, by having faith in the preaching of the Gospel. If you've heard the Good News (Gospel) of Christ's dying on the cross for our sins, His burial, and His bodily resurrection three days later, you are saved. It's that simple to be saved. How did you get saved? ...
