What Will Hell Be Like?

Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

       Truly, only someone who is a severe burn victim can even begin to truly grasp what Hell will be like! IT WILL BE MORE HORRIFYING THAN ANYONE'S WORST NIGHTMARE OR REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE! I feel sorry for people who don't believe the Holy Bible, because if the Bible is indeed true (and it is), Hell is going to be their terrifying home for all eternity. I found the above picture of a man horribly burned over most of his body. Respectfully, I don't know who the man is, but my heart goes out to him as a burn victim. I cannot think of anything worse than being burned by fire...

Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

 Some people get upset when you show them pictures like this, or talk about Hell. But dear reader, I am being your friend right now! I CARE! Life is short, Hell is hot, and eternity is a long time! What if Hell is real? What if you die in your sins (John 8:24) and end up like the rich man in Hell, tormented in flames (Luke 16:19-31)? ...

Luke 16:19-24, “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” 

The Holy Bible teaches that there is a literal place called Hell, where all Christ-rejecters will be tormented in fire and brimstone forever. The Scriptures warn that Hell burns day and night, where there is no rest, and all whom worship and serve Satan will spend eternity. Revelation 14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” It makes me sad to think that someone who is reading my article right now, would still be hard-hearted against the truth of God, and go to Hell. Denying the reality of Hell doesn't make anybody exempt from the judgments of God.

If there is no eternal penalty for sin, then why need a divine Savior? The Holy Bible teaches that Hell is a literal PLACE that burns with fire and brimstone! I cannot even imagine such a horrifying eternal fate! Many people scoff and laugh at the idea of Hell, dismissing it as mere folklore, rubbish or scare-tactics. Why take the risk?
 

Hell Is a Horrible Place of Torment and Suffering in Everlasting Fire

Hell is eternal. It is described that way in Matthew 25:46. In Romans 16:26 God is said to be eternal. The Holy Spirit, in Hebrews 9:14, is also described as “eternal.”

Hell is a place of darkness. Jude 13 speaks of “the blackness of darkness” where false teachers will be confined forever. Hell is possibly described as “darkness” because it is the place farthest removed from God. I also believe Hell will literally be a physically dark place. Scientists say that the hottest flames are darker in color. There will be no God to listen to pleas for mercy or give hope of release. Hell is a place of fire. Matthew 13:42 speaks of it as a “furnace of fire.” Matthew 25:41 calls it an “everlasting fire.” Mark 9:44-45 says the “fire is never quenched.” Revelation 21:8 refers to it as “the lake of fire.” Hell is an awful place burning with “fire and brimstone,” which is “the second death” (Revelation 21:8).

There will be no relief from its fires, because Revelation 14:11b says, “the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night.”As there is no rest, there will be no relief. The rich man in Luke 16, even while awaiting the final judgment in Tartarus, wanted a drop of water to cool his tormented tongue, but he did not get it. What a tragic and horrible place to spend eternity without end!

If God allows pain and suffering in this earthly life, then why would it be so hard to believe that there will be pain and suffering in the afterlife? Even some religions have difficulty believing in a literal Hell. The pseudo-Christian religions of Seventh Day Adventism and the Jehovah's Witnesses deny the reality of a burning Hell. What saith the Scripture? ...

Revelation 20:11-15, “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

How can anyone deny the reality of a burning Hell, in view of the preceding inspired Scriptures? You cannot if you are an honest Bible student. You either believe the Holy Bible or you don't. The unsaved world mocks, laughs and scorns Christianity in their sinful arrogance, treasuring up God's wrath against themselves for Judgment Day!
 

There is No Justice for Crime Victims if There is No Hell

I don't have to educate you about all the heinous crimes that people sometimes commit against others. I've been horrified in my lifetime from reading the daily news. I could mention literally TENS OF MILLIONS of documented horrible crimes around the world. Albeit, I want to briefly mention one horrific incident in 1993 that still haunts my soul when I think about it, and makes me rejoice (in an imprecatory way) that God made a Hell to punish evildoers. I literally cried a couple years ago when I read about two teenage Caucasian girls in Texas, who on a normal night while walking home from a pool party at a friend's house, were brutally confronted and assaulted by six teenage punks in a gang (one black and five Hispanic). Those ungodly males took turns raping, sodomizing, beating, torturing and eventually murdering the two girls, choking them to death with their own shoelaces. The boys then urinated on the girls, breaking their ribs and kicking their teeth out with steel-toe work boots, and crushing their necks by stomping on them. When the police found the girl's brutalized and naked bodies in the woods four days later, they wept. I only wish those six monsters who hurt those girls could have suffered the same fate!

Every Christian should feel mixed emotions about the fate of such criminals. If you love God, there should be a part of your soul, that hopes they came to saving faith in the truth of the Gospel in Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul, before he was saved (then called Saul), murdered Christians. God Himself has no pleasure in the death of the wicked—Ezekiel 33:11a, “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live...” Yet, there should as be a part of your soul, as a child of God, that desires to see justice—an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, life for life—that those young men would burn in Hell as punishment for their atrocious crimes! I am grateful for God's plan of redemption; but I am also grateful for the fires of Hell, for those who die in their sins, those who knowingly refuse God's goodness by rejecting the gift of eternal life thought faith in Jesus Christ! So there must be an eternal place of punishment for evildoers to be punished.

Psalms 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” The preceding Bible verse would make no sense if the word “hell” merely refers to the grave, because then the righteous and wicked go to the SAME PLACE! Obviously, the Bible clearly implies eternal damnation and punishment for the wicked! We are warned that “THE WICKED SHALL BE TURNED INTO HELL,” but “THE RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO LIFE ETERNAL.” Notice the distinct and sharp contrast in the following Bible verse between the RIGHTEOUS (saved) and the WICKED (unsaved). Matthew 25:46, “And these [the wicked] shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Matthew 25:41, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Carefully notice that the “fire” of Hell is “EVERLASTING,” and also that it was originally intended only for “THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS.” But when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, he opened the floodgate of “sin and death into the world. Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

Thus, Hell has been enlarged to accommodate fallen man, with the Devil and demons. Isaiah 5:14, “Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” The Bible is abundantly clear that the reason why God has enlarged Hell, is to accommodate the masses of Christ-rejecting humanity, who must pay for their own sins in everlasting fire. That is what the Scripture saith! Many people find it difficult to accept the reality of Hell, because they cannot accept the idea that a loving and merciful God could create such a place. But if there is no punishment for violation of God's LAW , then God would not be a righteous (just) God. Being a just God, He will reward the righteous and punish the wicked. Hell is to punish the wicked. There must be a Hell, otherwise Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Wall Street, the thieves behind the Federal Reserve Banking System, Bill and Hillary Clinton, The Bush Family, Henry Kissinger and other monstrous evildoers got away with their crimes against God and humanity! Thank God for a burning Hell to punish the wicked; but thank God even more for the gift of forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ, to those repentant sinners who will receive it by BELIEVING THE GOSPEL (i.e., the GOOD NEWS of Christ crucified on the cross, buried and bodily resurrected the third day).
 

Hell is a Literal Place of Everlasting Pain and Torture!

If an unsaved person TRULY understood that they will spend eternity burning in Hell, they would be HORRIFIED. It won't even be the beginning of eternity in Hell after all these years . . .

Do you know how to say the number I just gave you? It's a 1 with 44 zeros behind it. The number is called “one hundred tredecillion.”^[1] Do you know that to count just to one billion would take 31 years, 251 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds?

Pronouncing all those long numbers, means it would take over 150 years to count out loud to 7,710,000,000 (the number of people living upon the earth at the time in 2011)! Now consider that Hell is forever! That ought to scare you very much if you are not saved. THERE WILL BE NO TIME IN HELL! Revelation 10:6, “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.” The time is coming (no pun intended) when time will cease! If you go to Hell, there will be nothing to look forward to! There will be no rest, no day nor night, no breaks, no end to the misery and suffering.

Tormented Day And Night For Ever And Ever!

Jesus plainly warned in John 3:3 that except a man be born again, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. The world is filled with billions of religious people who've never been born-again. I'm talking about Catholic popes, Buddhist leaders, Muslims, Mormon leaders, the apostate Church of England and fake evangelicals like Billy Graham!!! Famous evangelist Billy Graham has a corrupted view of what it means to be born-again, which departs greatly from the imputed righteousness of God in the Bible which requires simple childlike faith without works to be saved.

Hell is forever!!! This earthly life will be over within 100 years for you dear friend, if not sooner. Rock singer Joe Cocker is dead at 70. All of the big name rock stars of the 1960, 1970 and 1980's are starting to die off one at a time, and they'll ALL be gone in the next 30-40 years (most sooner than that). Is it worth risking spending all eternity in the Lake of Fire? Eternal life is a free gift, which anyone can have simply by BELIEVING the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ—Who bled and died on the cross to pay for your sins and mine—and was raised up three days later as every believer's High Priest! Anyone can be saved freely, simply by believing the Gospel.

Please don't go to Hell. You don't have to become religious to go to Heaven. The issue is that you are a sinner, and so am I. We're all big sinners deserving of God's wrath in the fires of Hell. If you admit that you are a sinners, having seen yourself as a guilty sinner in the eyes of a holy God in Heaven, then you can be saved simply by believing the Gospel (Good News) of Christ crucified on the cross for your sins, Who died, was buried and risen the third day. Make that your hope for Heaven and you will be immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God (hence, born-again). 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

Now I'm going to baffle your brain (and this should horrify you if you are not saved in Christ Jesus). Do you know the numeric value of the number... “novemnonagintillion.” It is a 1 with 300 zeroes behind it!!! Here's what it looks like numerically . . .

That is scary!!! It is scary to realize that even after that many years in the Lake of Fire, it still won't even be the beginning, because there is no time in Hell. You couldn't even count aloud the previous number in 100 lifetimes! Do you know that to count just to one billion would take 31 years, 251 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds. In short, if you want to count to a billion, you'd better start now. So how long do you think it would take to count to one novemnonagintillion? If my calculations are correct, it would take you (3.168, + 292 zeros) years! To be more precise (assuming 70 years per human lifetime), it would take you (4.525,714,285, + 96 zeros) lifetimes to count to one novemnonagintillion!!!

My point is that life is short, Hell is hot, and eternity is a long time. Please don't go to Hell forever! The choice is solely yours to make. The Bible teaches in Matthew 7:13-14 that few people ever find the narrow gate unto life, which is by faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. You cannot get to Heaven by your own good works or religious devotion, contrary to what the world has been misled by Satan to believe. The Devil's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this insane world. Religion wants to fit us with glasses, but the Lord wants to open our eyes. YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!!

Only a born-again Christian has their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. There is no other way to Heaven than through the precious name of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Kindly, infamous singer Brian Johnson of the Rock band AC/DC sings boastfully that he is on a “HIGHWAY TO HELL.” Another popular song of the band is called, “HELL AIN'T A BAD PLACE TO BE!” Clearly, the members of AC/DC are using the subject of “Hell” as a clever marketing scheme to sell their music, because NO ONE in their right mind wants to be burned in fire (not for one second, let alone for all eternity)!

Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill
the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

is headed straight for eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. It breaks my heart. Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Jesus told men Whom to fear in Luke 12:5, “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” The Holy Bible teaches men to fear God, because God has the power to cast men into Hell fire.

The Bible has much more to say about Hell than Heaven. Jude 1:7, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Matthew 25:41, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Hell is no laughing matter.

Death is separation of the soul and spirit from the body. Ecclesiastes 12:7, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” The Bible also teaches that there is a “second death,” which is separation of body, soul and spirit from God for all eternity. Everyone who will one day be cast into the Lake of Fire will be given a body, one which can withstand extremely high temperatures and endure inexplicable pain and suffering without degenerating. Revelation 21:8 plainly teaches that “THE UNBELIEVING” will be cast into the Lake of fire and brimstone forever.

The rich man in Luke 16:19-32 didn't care either about spiritual matters, until he woke up in the fires of Hell in torments. But by then it was too late. One day soon, if every unsaved person doesn't individually BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, they will find them self tormented in the fires of Hell, begging God for a second chance, for mercy, but it will be too late for them (Luke 16:31). No doubt the damned will blame the Devil for their spiritual blindness. They'll blame the sin-cursed world. They'll blame a heathen religious upbringing. They'll try to blame verything else they can possibly think of, when they feel the singeing flames of a scorching literal Hell, but IT WILL BE TOO LATE!!!

If a person ends up in Hell, he or she is lost by their own free choice. They have no one to blame but their self. Many see no need to be interested in spiritual things, and are indifferent toward the pleas of THE GOSPEL. Others refuse to obey the Gospel, refusing to submit to God's righteousness. Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”
 

God's Grace is Not “Cheap,” It is Totally Free!

Hell is real I assure you my friend! You don't have to go there! The suffering of agony in Hell is awaiting all Christ-rejecters. And may I kindly say, a person never goes to Hell because of their sins, but only because they rejected God's payment for their sins! We hear some preachers throwing around the derogatory term “cheap grace.” Oh no, grace isn't “cheap” dear reader—GRACE IS TOTALLY FREE! That is because grace CAME AT A GREAT PRICE to God, costing Him His only begotten Son! The world mocks the Holy Bible, as I heard atheist comedian George Carlin scoffing (note: some foul language), making fun of the truths taught in God's Word! As I type, sadly, George Carlin is burning in Hell forever without hope. Mr. Carlin says in the preceding mockery video that he “really tried to believe” in God, but the evils of the world turned him off to the reality of God and religion. Carlin blames God for man's failures and wickedness, alleging that “God doesn't give a sh_t!” irreverently calling Him “a spooky, incompetent, father figure!” Woe unto George Carlin!

Despite his offensive foul language and repulsive filthy mind, George says some really funny things. For example: George says that he used to be a Catholic until he reached “THE AGE OF REASON” at age two! That is funny! The Roman Catholic religion is a fraud, who have been leading people into the fires of Hell for thousands of years! Matthew 23:15, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” Matthew 15:14, “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Satan blinds the lost with counterfeit religion, counterfeit Bibles, counterfeit churches, counterfeit gospels, counterfeit

Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” George made his decision, choosing the world over the Lord Jesus Christ! In the same video I shared with you, Mr. Carlin blasphemously likens the Holy Bible to fictitious Children's stories like The Three Little Pigs and Humpty Dumpty. It breaks my heart, truly, because I like George (he is a gifted speaker who could have made an awesome preacher), and he could have enjoyed all the splendors of Heaven for free (Romans 8:32), just for the taking, but he foolishly chose to criticize, mock, and blaspheme His Maker. Psalms 14:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

To the born-again believer, Jesus is very precious to us. 1st Peter 2:7, “Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.” To the unbeliever, the name of Jesus means nothing, which is why Hollywood continually blasphemes the precious name of Jesus in their cursing! By the way, the fact that EVERY premiere Hollywood movies take the name of Jesus in vain evidences His preeminence throughout history!

There is no such thing as “cheap grace,” because God's grace is free! God paid your sin debt, and mine, so that He could offer us redemption without cost or obligation. That is why I so vehemently preach against the heresy of Calvinism (aka, “Lordship Salvation”) and False Repentance (i.e., human reformation for salvation). If you will by faith simply take God at His Word, as written in the Holy Scriptures, and receive Christ's sacrificial death on the cross as full-payment for your sins, then you will be saved immediately, securely, eternally, irrevocably and wonderfully! You can escape the torments found there by giving obedience to Christ now. He will wash away the guilt of your sins and grant you hope of a life of eternal bliss in His presence.

Hell was originally prepared for Satan and his angels (Matthew 25:41). Jude 6 states that fallen angels are placed in chains awaiting judgment. Yet, when men and women join the devil in his work and live in servitude to him, they must suffer the same fate that will befall him.

The world mocks and jokes, laughing as they foolishly sing “I'm On A Highway To Hell,” and they truly are. May I say, NOBODY IS LAUGHING IN HELL!!! (MP3 sermon by Evangelist Phil Kidd). All men ought to fear God, but especially those who have not yet accepted God's free grace for salvation. Eternal life is a free gift by faith in Christ Jesus, please don't leave earth without Him. The choice is yours alone to make! If you do go to Hell someday, it will be your fault alone, for rejecting the free gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ. 2nd Timothy 2:12-13, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”
 

Hell is Very Real—Please Don't Go There!

My friend, the “HIGHWAY TO HELL” (that the unbelieving world mocks) is real—Hell is very, very, real. How do I know that? I know it because the Holy Bible is easy to verify as being divine (which has been faithfully preserved today in the inspired King James Bible). God could have given His Words to one man; such as Moses, and then expected us to accept those Words as divine. But God in His wondrous mercy and wisdom did it in a very different way, so that any honest thinking person could PROVE that the Bible came from God Himself. The Lord used approximately 40 different writers (of different age, ethnicity, culture, background, intelligence, education, moral character and location). God gave His Words to those 40 writers over a span of 1,500 years! Yet, all of those various 66 books perfectly fit together in harmony—prophetically (the Bible contains 31% prophecy), doctrinally and historically—to give us the complete amazing inspired Word of God!!! No other book in the world can make such a supernatural claim, which PROVES it's divine origin!

Even Christians can foolishly doubt the truth sometimes; such as, when Jesus raised up from the dead; they apostles DIDN'T BELIEVE IT. Luke 24:10-11, “It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.” If Christ's own very apostles disbelieved, who heard Him speak firsthand of THE TRUTH of His coming resurrection, then should it be surprising that people today are also so doubtful of these truths? So what do we do? WHAT DO WE DO??? Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Thankfully, we have the inspired Word of God, and the beloved Holy Spirit of God Who reproves the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. John 16:8-10, “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” The power of God's inspired Words and the convicting power of the Holy Spirit is why people CAN STILL BE SAVED today! When we witness the Gospel to the lost, the Holy Spirit is our soul-winning partner, working in the lost person's heart to convict them!
